Mom, Doctor, Author, Wellness Practitioner
My name is Pascale Chery. I am a first-generation Haitian-American, I grew up in New York straddling the two cultures.
My early years were shaped mostly by the art of music. I played piano, saxophone, and composed tunes. I had every intention of becoming a musician however my parents talked me out of it for fear of not being able to support myself. I then took the decision to become a dentist.
I attended and completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Rutgers University and went into residency and practice thereafter.
I married shortly after dental school and bore to children. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't survive and I became a single parent early in my career. Raising my two children away from family posed many challenges. However, it gave me insight on the trials and tribulations that many children face growing up in school today. Today I'm writing as part of my creative expression to help children build-self confidence and self-love.
