SPEAKER_01

Hi and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips. Today we're talking about Good Girls, Season 4, Episode 7. Carolyn with a Y. I'm Lisa, and today I am sipping on the last little bit of red wine from this bottle, and I'm not sure if it's still good or not, but I'm gonna power through. Okay. Mama didn't raise no quitter. You have makeup on? I do because of the spotlight.

SPEAKER_03

Just Yeah, and I didn't know about the spotlight, so thank you.

SPEAKER_01

I literally just threw it on. That's why I called you to give you a heads up. Like, like he literally just texted. I ran to the bathroom. But I do have to go to work later anyway, so.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Oh. And I'm your co-host, Agnes. Hi guys. And I'm only drinking water. Don't hate me. Sorry. Am I getting kicked out the club now?

SPEAKER_01

You might.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. That sounds about on par. So, any hot takes?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I have hot takes, but I think that we have to we've noticed that uh like housekeeping. We've noticed that the episodes, the bonus episodes no longer populate in the feed. They're so they used to populate in like Apple Music or Spotify or even on our website, and for some reason they're no longer moving over. And we've reached out to support, but apparently it's it's not a glitch, it's just not a thing anymore. So if you guys are wondering or looking for our bonus episodes where we cover like a lot of reality series and things like that, they are still available. You can go to the Buzz Sprout website for our show, or you can go to Patreon and you can find them all there. And all of that info is in the show notes. So just yeah. Uh and as far as hot takes, I think that Rio is just aware of everything, and he is just toying with her at this point.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, he knows all, he sees all, he's omnipotent. It's fine.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I'm also I have thoughts about uh Fitz. I can't think about it? It's Fitzgerald, Fitzpatrick. I don't know why I can't ever get the name straight. Thank you, SNL, for ruining that for me for life. Fitz. I have thoughts.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Are you ready to start this shit show that we call Sass and Sifs?

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_03

I love us. So the women are lined up in front of Dave as he quizzes them. Like a, I don't know, like, I don't know, a parent.

SPEAKER_01

Children in detention.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Yes. And they're just sitting there like Dave. They're like, what do we not do? They're like, huh? What? What we don't do is screw the target. Annie and Ruby are like, what the actual fuck? Yeah. She's like, I'm not screwing him. And Andy goes, was it? She's like, I didn't actually screw him. Andy goes, so was it uh? She's like, no. She's like, did it involve the vagina?

SPEAKER_00

Like with the fingers? Uh-huh. Yeah. Did it involve the vagina? Right. Yeah. And she's like, kind of.

SPEAKER_01

And Ruby's like, and his penis? And she's like, no. And then that's when they're like, uh. The charades. With the different body parts.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. Everyone has friends like that. Yeah. Well, we have friends like that. Right. Right.

SPEAKER_01

But like we shouldn't be the only ones who uh I'm I just have been doing this the whole episode.

SPEAKER_03

That's so you know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm looking at you with those fucking talons on your hands, and it hurts. Like, like shopped. It's not shocked. I don't miss. And this is why I am not. You just put those inside yourself. I I mean, not that you're putting them inside me, but I'm just saying the thought of nails. I think it was an option. I don't know. Uh-uh. Ow.

SPEAKER_00

No, I am no.

SPEAKER_03

And that is why I am not a lesbian. Because I'm not getting rid of my nails. But obviously, they do do it with nails. Yeah, I guess. But we've heard worse stuff. We've had worse up there. I don't know. At doctor's appointments. I'm just joking. And they give no warning. Like it's a little cold, like a little cold. That's a display.

SPEAKER_01

But it's not supposed to feel good. So like check, you know? Like somebody's putting their fingers inside me. It's supposed to feel good. And those those things look like pain. And I'm I'm okay with a little bit, but not a lot of it. So But they're pretty. Nope. Nope. Nope. I mean, not for the purpose of that. But do you like the nails I did? Oh yeah, no, they're gorgeous. Thank you. But ow. That shit's like hitting my lungs.

SPEAKER_03

Big Kohona is done. He's like, this is it. This is over.

SPEAKER_01

And but it's like he's so mad about it. And then Agent Hot Mess walks in with the computer, and she's just like, he needs her. Because detention, detention deal, Dave, is like, okay, you're on the bench and they're gonna pinch hit. And Annie's like, I don't know about all these baseball metaphors. This is supposed to be like sexy, because before they were talking about bases of like where she got to and where she went. And then Ruby's like, he ain't getting none of this. No part of that man is getting any part of this. Any part of this. Ruby, I think he might be scared of you. Like Ruby looks like she will, you know, put it down, flip and reverse his ass.

SPEAKER_03

And I can hear it playing in my head just so you know. I can hear and I'm visually, yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'd never look at the ass. I would never look at her the same way now. Thank you, Lisa.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Also, I know we're not up today yet, but speaking of Ruby, we're gonna get to Stan. My God, he looks so good in that suit. Yeah, he did.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, lovely man in a good suit.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, a good suit can do wonders. I mean, he's already a like a good looking guy. But you put a suit on him, and it's just like putting crumbs on the colour.

SPEAKER_03

Criminal Stan is getting criminal Stan is a kind of sexy stan. Like you said, I mean he already looked good in the t-shirts when he was making sandwiches.

SPEAKER_01

But like with the suit and the open collar and the I was like, hold on here.

SPEAKER_03

Step aside for a minute. Move to the side. I gotta share the love. Speaking of Stan, we're back at the Hill House, and they're talking about the purse hustle, and Stan has one requirement. What's one Beth has no parts of it. Now Ruby's still pissed about her screwing Rio again, still continuing.

SPEAKER_00

Improvising with Rio. Improvising. I mean, I mean, it had to be that she was. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But Ruby was like, absolutely. He goes, but I mean nothing. He's like, she's like, okay. He goes, but she can't know because she's gonna make it her. She's like, I know. Uh-huh. He's like, wait, hold up, wait a minute.

SPEAKER_01

Right, he's like Beth Bolin, right?

SPEAKER_03

And she's like, Your homegirl, right? Ruby's and Stan are keeping the purse hustle on the DL. Annie. She goes in to meet Greggels. He was probably known as Gregg's for coffee. And she's like, oh fuck, there's mugs. And then she's like, this is gonna be a I was hoping this is like high, buy, gotta go kind of situation. And he has a real, he really kind of did a complete 180 and says got taken after school. He's learning how to I don't want to be a douchebag, blase, blase, blase, these kids. You know, so and so's Taylor Swift party actually had Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_01

Right. They thought it was Taylor Swift themed karaoke.

SPEAKER_03

She's like, he's like she performed her entire night, was it 1984 album? 19 89. 89. 84 is a book, sorry. Um, she goes, Did she perform whatever song it was? He goes, clean the entire album out of the woods.

SPEAKER_01

My daughter's a a Swifty.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And then she goes talented, but like I love Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_03

I just don't know how anything like that.

SPEAKER_01

In my house, if you want to get that kid out of her room, you just have to play Taylor Swift and it's like cat call. She's just she just appears. It's like saying she's called now. Right. And she'll come out from wherever she is. Hi, Taylor. You just can like shake the cat treat, just shake the album. Exactly. You just play a little Taylor Swift and it it just you know brings her right front and center. My daughter wishes she was at that party.

SPEAKER_03

To be fair, although it's about taking Ben out of the school that Gregos was so insistent that he goes to. She asked very important questions though. Like, which songs? I mean, that's important this priorities. And of course, he read it like he reiterated like three times the entire album. Yeah. And she's like, what kind of pissed me off was okay, so good luck in telling him. What do you mean? Like, this is he goes, Well, I think tuition. Right. He's like, she's like, and I'm thinking, yeah, but you want to pull him out. You're not making me the bad guy.

SPEAKER_01

And it's right, it's another way that he maintains like he's not the bad guy. And he's like, oh, but you have to tell Ben because I'm paying tuition? Uh-uh. No. So now he really looks like the good guy. Like, oh, dad's paying tuition, but I'm gonna go.

SPEAKER_03

Mom still wants me to go doesn't want me to go. Right.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So no, Greggles. No.

SPEAKER_03

Now mind you, when I first watched this, when it first aired, I'm like, my little antennae went up. No, antennae. They're like, do, do, do, do do, do do, do do, do do, do do, do do, do do. But I'm like, hmm. Anywho. Back to Beth and Rio. Rio tells Beth they got a problem. Lucy, we got a problem. Okay. And he pulls out one of the John Grisham's novels. Oh, before that, I'm sorry. Beth is getting ready for, you know, her business meeting.

SPEAKER_01

Her grocery grocery store.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Dean goes, you're dressed up. Where are you going? What kinda like what kind of is it a meeting? What kind of meeting is it? Like he's like down with the get down now. He's like he's accepted.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but at first, when he comes in the room and she's like putting on her lipstick in front of the mirror, he I think he looks like nervous. Yeah, a little bit. I think that his first thing was like, oh, sh is she going to meet um Rio? Yes. Because he he looks like uncomfortable. And then when she's like going to the grocery store, and he's like, Yeah. Now he thinks it's like talking about it.

SPEAKER_03

You can't tell anybody. You can't tell no one. Not a soul. Do not open your mouth. He's like, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then she's like, swear, wait, she's like, swear on Emma's life. And he's like, swear on kidneys instead.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. That was funny, though. That was like a kid. Sounds like a parent.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Seriously, there's always that one kid. You're like, mmm. Um, so I'm sorry, I'm still laughing with the whole candy thing. It's always Kenny. Always. Oh my god, you kill Kenny. Okay. Bastard. So Rio goes to bed. They have their little business meeting. And she's looking like an asshole just puckered up. And he shows her the John Gershen book. He says, um grandma knows that. Huh?

SPEAKER_01

No, yeah, he's like, we got a problem. Yes. I said that. Oh, yeah. Sorry, I didn't, I didn't I didn't. Say it like three times. Okay, my bad.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, wait. You're not drinking enough wine. Let's stop this recording. Let's get some more wine in you. Matter of fact, I'm gonna get like a funnel.

SPEAKER_01

And it's gonna reach all the way here.

SPEAKER_03

In theory, you would have a I would have I would be there with you with the funnel and pouring the bottle of wine. Okay. Better? Are we good? Yeah. So he tells her, I need we need something done. I need something done. And it can't be done by you. Or Ruby or Annie. It can't be done by the three. I won't I won't say three musketeers, but they're kind of more of a hot mess, so I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's he's like, I need the bank.

SPEAKER_03

And he goes, I need I need a bank, and it needs to be done by mom. And he goes like the mom jeans. He's like, why does it have to be jeans? Kind of obvious we know what the next scene's gonna be. Agent Hot Mess, also aka Phoebe, aka Callan with the Y. And it's the ladies schooling her had to be a suburban mom. Are all suburban moms like that? Can I tell you? Because I know my purse was never like that.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, there was a fair amount of like broken crackers or pretzels or whatever in my bag, but I mean it wasn't that bad.

SPEAKER_03

It's just a little crazy, but that's just me. I mean, I had a separate diaper bag, I had a separate bag for her stuff, and then I had my purse. And so her diaper bag was a hot mess. But my purse was always on point. But that's maybe that's I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, depending on where I went, like what bag, I didn't want to I hate carrying shit. So if I could only carry one bag, yeah, and I'll throw some wipes and diapers and some snacks in my own bag. And like an e depending on how old the kids were, maybe an extra set of clothes, but like that's a bad thing.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But remember, I also breastfed, so I didn't have to worry about bottles or anything like that. They got that shit straight from the tap. On tap all times.

SPEAKER_03

I just didn't like my stuff. I also had expensive bags, so I was like, yeah, we're not doing that. I'm like, no, we're not doing that. The whole they're like, how old are they? And the name first of all, the name she gave them. She was like, wrong! This is not 1950. She's like, not 1950. I think they're like Briler and whatever, it's some stupid shit.

SPEAKER_01

Well, first it was Tom and Sally, and then it was Bru Brenner, Bryn Brenner, something, and Julian.

SPEAKER_03

The fact that you remember, I'm not sure. I love the name.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I love the name Julian.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. That's Axel's middle name. It's a good name. It's not he's named after the nurse that almost that saved him. From going like catching her like a flip because she slid right out. She's like, oh. It was kind of cool. It was like, it was kind of like you would have thought it was a TV show. She was just like, uh, I was like, that happened, but okay. I was sitting on the couch, like impressive. And they're like, well, how old are they? She's like, two and whatever. She's like, wrong. Anything on the two, you go by months. And if they're two, then you go two and a by years. She's like, why? I don't know why. That's just the rule.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah. She's like, don't only kids ask why. Did you ever do that by months? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Once she hit a year, she was a year and change. I'm like, how she's a year and change.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it wasn't like a hard and fast rule, but depending on, you know, like sometimes it's easier. Like, oh, you know, like even now you say, like, oh, you know, how old was Nelinda when Amaris was born? 14 months.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, maybe because I only have one kid. Maybe that's why, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe, maybe. Maybe, you know.

SPEAKER_03

I need to, I need people to answer that. Do other people with one child, did they follow the whole month route too? Or did this unless that's at the doctor's appointment and we have to be kind of specific on, you know, other than that, people like, well, how the should do the year? Even with Axel Angel.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it for me it just depended on like what we were talking about. If we were talking about like a milestone or or maybe like somebody who was closer that it was more important to me that I was more accurate. Okay. Like if it was a stranger and be like, oh, a year and a half, like you don't you don't care, or like just a lot of people.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like these moms were like, no, regardless why you're asking, it's 17 and a half months. It is Yeah, no, I mean I feel like you had to be oddly specific. He's 20 months. Like I just I just got that vibe, and I was just like, okay, I am not prepared to be a suburban mom.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if it's necessarily a suburban. I think a lot of people just prefer because the the development at that age is so drastic. And so even from say like 12 months to 17 months is such a big I know a lot can happen. Yes. And so if you're saying like a year or a year and a half, like even at 10 months, they're like practically a year old, and at 14 months, they're like a year old-ish, right? But there's but so much can change. Like they can start walking, they can say their, you know, start to say their words, their motor skills. So like it's so much going on. So exactly that I think that that's why people differ.

SPEAKER_03

Whatever. Exactly why if it wasn't a doctor's appointment, it's something that had to be measured. I did not care. They didn't make it. No one can because honestly, Sally May at the school or at the grocery store doesn't give a fuck. And I don't care if she did give a fuck. You know what I mean? That's just I just didn't care enough for strangers to know she was 14 months or not. Um, like I said, also I had one kid. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't I don't know if that part necessarily but I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I could by me not having multiples, I don't know if that's a I don't I wouldn't have a frame of reference. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But she is an FBI agent and she's going to get it because she has a skill level.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, actually, we've been talking about FBI. They're Secret Service, aren't they? Secret Service, FBI, I know we keep we keep saying FBI. And then when I when I do edit, I'm like, no, dumbass. It's Secret Service. And then we keep saying FBI.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, we know there's Secret Service. We're not under oath, are we? We're fine. Because honestly, as much alcohol we intake, we imbibe imbibe, I don't think, even if we did get it right.

SPEAKER_01

I was just trying to make a clarification. That's all.

SPEAKER_03

No. No, I'm just saying. My joke was like us drunk under oath, I don't think it would make a difference. You can't do an oath while you're impaired. Which I think is bullshit. I think 95% of people that do take an oath are probably impaired some form of way. And yeah. Honestly, if I was in court, I'd probably have to take something anyway. Because I would be a hot mess. Oh, and it has to be pickup, not school pickup. I I I don't know. But I'm taking notes though. So the ladies and Carolyn with the Y are going to meet Ryo at the diner. And they're sitting at the diner, and Ruby asks, like, is everything set up? And Phoebe goes, beep the horn, and you hear a beep in the parking lot. And they're like, but she's like, the salt shaker isn't everywhere. We have bugs all over the place. Here comes, so it's just kind of cool. That is kind of cool. It's not it's not the 1950 um tracker that they put in the car. So they learned their lesson. Here comes a waitress. Like, okay, you gotta go, you gotta go. Either, you know, I can't see you until you get your whole party's here. Like, there's no one else here. The tables are empty. Well, my couple that wants this table.

SPEAKER_01

Bitch, I would like a couple of things. And she's like, Well, order. No, we don't, we don't see tuna melts. We see people, blah, blah, blah. And as there are, because and and like she's trying to be like, but we need this table. Like I talked to the manager. We talked to the manager. I don't really care. But in the meantime, Rio walks in, he sits down, they take their orders, and they're like, okay, so like let's get down to business. And he's like, actually, can he uh can't talk shop on an empty stomach? Places an order. Okay, let's talk about actually. Can you make those to go? And then they're like, where are we going? Her house. And now you're like, we're all shitting bricks, right? Like, forget them. Even like us as viewers are like, oh, what the fuck? They're all in the car. And they're like, okay, so let's just talk here. Nah, let's let's go to her house. And Ruby's like, yeah, but it's just us because they're all in the wagon. And where's your house? And she's like, oh, just up ahead. Like, how long? Well, just a couple of blocks. And then they get to a house and they're like, um, come on. And she's like emptying her bag. She's like, I don't know, the keys are in here somewhere, but knock on the door. Oh, my husband is sleeping. And he's like, but it's noon. And he's like, she's like, yeah, but you know, and blah, blah, blah. And Rio is just like, okay, knock, knock, knock. He's like, well, he's up now. And you're all like still just the ladies are all standing there holding their cops. Oh, the tail is the cops out.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And they're all just kind of like, fuck, fuck. That's their internal dialogue is all the puppy. Yeah. Because fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. And then you see uh DL detention Dan, Dave. DL. And he's like, again, he's in a bathrobe, and now you're like, and and we're relaxing, they're relaxing. And then they're like, oh, they he they go in. Now, I'm sorry, but why isn't DL Dave like, who's this? Like, I get why he should recognize the ladies, maybe, or at least Beth. Maybe that's not a surprise. But you just got some random dude showing up at your house at noon, waking me up, and you're not like hey, what the fuck is this? And so, who like who are you? That was mistake number one, if you ask me. Absolutely. And they go in and he he's like looking in their fridge, and you're not like, hey, my man, what are you doing? What like what the what the actual fuck is going on here? Why are you in my fridge? So he's explaining basically, we need you to hold the money in your box, and I want a key, and you'll get a fee for holding it. Okay, cool, easy peasy. Oh, and your milk expired by a week. Now, I know that that was supposed to be like a tip-off, right? Because if you have kids and blah, blah, blah. But also, like, when you've had kids, you already know, like, sometimes things happen, milk expires, and you just we've all been there. And if you haven't, you're a fucking liar. I'm sorry. Right. And you know, it wouldn't be the first time somebody has found expired milk or something in my house. Right. Right. And and also, like, let's be honest, kids go through phases. When my kids were little, there were weeks where I was buying two and three gallons of milk a week because all they wanted was milk or chocolate milk or strawberry milk. And then there were weeks where if I bought one gallon, it would go bad.

SPEAKER_03

It would go bad.

SPEAKER_01

So every parent knows that that is not the gotcha you thought it was. But anyway, they get through it, they think that it's great. And Dave is like, yeah, but we can't, we, you know, we just got here, like we couldn't wire the house or whatever. You see the couple who the house is. See the couple hooking, like, is it sick to come out? Yeah. And they're like, Thank you for your service to this country.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Womp, womp, womp. But like, in the meantime, it's kind of like, all right, so this whole thing, then Beth has to go with Rio to deliver the stuff to the bank. And they get there, and he's like, open the glove compartment, pass me the gun. And once again, she's just like, ugh. And he's like, Right. And so then he's like, All right, we really gonna keep doing this. And she's like, What do you like, you know, playing stupid, right? And he's like, Is she FBI or Secret Service? Like, what what are we doing? Come on, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_03

Like, come on, and he just basically calls her. You know he found the P he found it. Like, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. And so he gave her all these opportunities to come clean, and now it's crunch time, and he is just like, are we really gonna do this? So he puts in his little password, he puts the gun in a like hidden compartment in the car, and then they go in, they hand off the bag, agent hot mess, DL Dave. They're like real excited by the safety deposit box. They're fucking like giddy and dancing, and then they open the bag, and you don't see what's inside just yet. And they're and their faces are just like, what the fuck? In the meantime, you see Beth and Rio in the car, like being stopped by police, hands up, handing over papers. But I have to tell you, like, this scene confused me just a little bit. Because I'm thinking, and and just tell me that if I'm right. I'm thinking that what happened was that they did the handoff, and then right away they were supposed to catch them. Yes. Right? And then the fact that there was nothing to be caught in the bag, that's why they had to let them go. Correct. It wasn't right, okay. Because then I was like, is it because they're being petty and he's mad that it's just like because it turns out there was only costume jewelry and a pawn ticket in the bag. So I was like, at first I was like, wait, are they just being petty because it's the jewelry? But then I was like, no, wait, because then when the other officer comes over and she's like telling the the cops.

SPEAKER_03

Right, because DL, like, once he looked at the bag, he walked away and put his phone to the ear. Like that, yeah. He was calling it off.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then and then they like hand the stuff back and they let them go. And you're like, okay, all right.

SPEAKER_03

Now through all this, Ruby was supposed to be with Stan helping him with the party to sell those bags. Yep. He had to do it by himself. Unfortunately, he priced them too high. He didn't make the money, and in the inter So they still like$6,000 short. Yeah. They sold a lot. But it just wasn't it was a good day. But if they would have had to paint off Jean, they would have been fine, put it that way. And as a result, Ruby ends up having to ask Beth if they have like if she has anything, because she needs$6,000 and she has to tell Beth why. Yep. So she and Beth knows.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a little torn on this.

SPEAKER_03

Why?

SPEAKER_01

Well, because on one hand, I understand Ruby, Stan keeping it between them and whatever. Now, I also understand that when Ruby is asking Beth for money, I understand Beth's both of them, but like more so Beth. Um like reaction and not knowing because they're friends. So like even if I wasn't involved, if you were doing something, I'd be like, damn, why didn't you tell me? But also because in essence, what one does affects the other. And so let's say Ruby somehow got caught this could affect their collective deal. So I'm a little torn.

SPEAKER_03

And I get both sides, yeah. Well, when you're doing something shady, you can't do something something extra shady, you have the other shady know about it. Right. But then also they also didn't know that she's still but in their eyes, you're playing fan like you're playing foot sees with Rio. What happens with the five years? But she but she had to. Like I was like, but if this was like the only time, they had to they also had a they did it before. So you're like, well, what what does that mean for us? What what was the third time means you know, it it can lead to a whole bunch of other shit. And if it was and honestly, because it on it it didn't mean anything, it was just improvising. That should be more of a reason to say, hey, this is what happened.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Let them in. And and and right, and it goes both ways. Now I feel like Stan wanted to keep Beth out of it more because she will get a it will turn into a Beth show. Right. You know, she jumps you sh she says jump, you say how hi, basic, basically kind of thing.

SPEAKER_03

It is it totally would have.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And so from that aspect, I agree with Stan. But also Ruby should be able to say, This is what's going on. I just want to let you know that this is you know, and the thing is, right, like it's not even like Ruby is the one who decided, hey, let's let's run a side scam. They're floundering on that side. They're yeah, they're just trying to climb out of the hole that was created when they had to, yeah. Right. So I don't I I don't necessarily agree with keeping Beth out, more so being like, this is what's going on, but like this is on me and him. Like just just letting you know that this is kind of what I have to do now. You know, but also it goes both ways, and Beth wasn't upfront either. So And then it does have a happen.

SPEAKER_03

It was um history, it would turn into the Beth show. And he already has to deal with Gene. He doesn't need to deal with real via Beth either. Like, we don't need all that drama. Yeah. Annie talking to Ben realizes that Greg and Nancy are having financial problems, and she was actually ecstatic about it. She was just like, she's like, geez, not like they're at a tent on the side of the row. She goes, Oh, one could wish.

SPEAKER_01

And she was like, She was like, You're so happy now. Imagine how happy you'll be when you drive by and see them living under their tent, uh in their tent. And she's like, Yep, can only hope.

SPEAKER_03

Such a jerk. Rio knows about the Secret Service. Gregg and Nance have financial issues, which is the real reason. Oh, and Ruby and Stan paid off Gene. And she's like, Okay, just give us our cut and we'll call it a day. Gene was like, No, you're stuck with me. So they have their own Rio. They have their own gang friend now. Yep. This is gonna be a hot mess. I think she didn't they need to Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I have a theory a little bit. Okay. I think that what if Rio didn't kill Fitz? What if that scene ended with him shooting, but maybe it was a warning shot, maybe it was a shot in the foot, maybe it was something to put him off kilter and and to get him. Because obviously, like I feel like Rio is smart enough to see this dude and be like, okay, he's not like some amateur, you know, just some dude with a gun. Right? Like this is a guy. This is a professional. This is a professional, and he wants information. And for all we know, he fills them all in. For all we know, they're working together. For all we know, right, we don't know anything.

SPEAKER_03

For all we know, we don't know anything. I love that.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And so, you know, imagine if Fitz was like, well, yeah, Secret Service is onto them and they're trying to make a deal to put you away. Ah, interesting. You know what I mean? And like, if you keep me alive, I'll, you know, I don't know, we'll work together or whatever.

SPEAKER_03

Like together, right. I'll give you a discount.

SPEAKER_01

Right. But but I think that Rio definitely knows, and then maybe him saying, like, oh, taking you to grandma's house to meet the boss was just another way of like setting her up. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. But like I don't know. I don't even know. Honestly. I got I got I brought out my spool. Okay, so like the the street is just going everywhere right now, and I'm just you know trying to see what sticks. But I I I think that I can get behind that. You know, Fitz is not dead. Fitz and Rio shared, you know, maybe he did kill him, maybe he found out all the information and then he killed him. But I think that he definitely there was more to that scene. Okay.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Julio's that was it.

SPEAKER_03

Glad we don't know. Like I said, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and and that's why he was already like, I mean, and he's a smart dude, right? But I feel like that's why he was already kind of like, okay, let's get out of here. You know, and and part of it is definitely just trying to keep them on their toes, keep them off balance because that's when people make mistakes. But I think he already knew.

SPEAKER_03

He did, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I think he already knew. He knows everything anyway. He always knows everything. Right. And I think that that whole exercise was just to definitely confirm and to get more information.

SPEAKER_02

Information now.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. So, yeah. Anyhow, I think that's all I got for this episode.

SPEAKER_03

That's cool. Because I don't have anything else.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. What do Kaminky think? All right. As usual, don't drink and drive. Yeah, yeah. Well, we'll get there. Uh, drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive. Visit us at assassinslips.com. Text us for all your theories and stuff. And until did I say assassinstips.com? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_01
