I tried I actually tried to find copycats. I could fucking watch it already.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you can't find it?
SPEAKER_00No, I have to like either buy it or rent it. I mean it's not on Netflix. Nope. I checked Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Plex. That's what that's what we have. Oh, I didn't check Apple TV. We have Apple TV now.
SPEAKER_01Oh, ooh, you're fancy.
SPEAKER_00I know. Yeah. I've been I've been watching the morning show with um Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I wanted to see that.
unknownThat seems good.
SPEAKER_00It is. It's not it's not what I thought it was gonna be, but it's good. I thought it was like more of a comedy and it's not.
SPEAKER_01No, I was like, and I and I like the I like drama. But I'm really tired of different streaming things having different shows.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's really fucking annoying.
SPEAKER_01And then you know what's gonna end up happening?
SPEAKER_00What?
SPEAKER_01It's gonna turn like all this streaming is gonna end up turning into cable.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I'm like, yeah, whatever.
SPEAKER_00I ditched cable a long time ago to not have all these fucking bills, and then now we have them again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so it ends end up gonna be just by cable. They go it so you're like, fuck me. But it is what it is.
SPEAKER_00I mean we have the Apple TV. That's how we turn our TV into a smart TV. And then the so now we have the Disney what whatever it's called, the Disney one.
SPEAKER_01Disney Plus.
SPEAKER_00Disney Plus, yeah. So but now we got Apple TV, and then the Hulu came with a promo for the plus. I I don't know. I can't keep up. I'm like, do we have this? He's like, yes. I'm like, okay, cool.
SPEAKER_01I'll watch. After all the promos up, it's gonna cost you like $3,000 a month.
SPEAKER_00I know. I know.
SPEAKER_01So you're like, um, great. What's gonna happen in three months?
SPEAKER_00I don't even want to think about it. But I did but I didn't check Apple TV yet for the movie. But fuck it. I mean, to rent it is like four bucks.
SPEAKER_01So it's just the idea. It's just like some movies, I think after a certain time, they should be you should have to pay the rent. Like that movie's so fucking old.
SPEAKER_00And but can we can we just be like take a step back for a second? Because we are of the generation who used to go to the fucking video store and rent movies.
SPEAKER_01And you have to wait like a year or change before it came out on VHS.
SPEAKER_00And you had to walk your ass to the video store and get your movie on VHS, be kind and rewind, and then walk your ass back there to bring it back. And so I'm sure that we spent you know, four bucks, and now it's like I could do four bucks laying in my bed. I don't even have to get up or get dressed, and I'm bitching about it.
SPEAKER_01But when you but think about like, but normally a movie, okay, let's say in let's say the early 90s, a movie that was 20 years old, you can get it on regular TV by then. You have to get rented. Yeah, but this movie's like 20 years old. Why do I have to rent it?
SPEAKER_00But listen, but even going back 20 years, if the movie was on regular TV, you had to comb through the fucking TV guide and start figuring out when it was gonna be on.
SPEAKER_01And you didn't have to pay $3 to watch it.
SPEAKER_00No, but you had to watch it at their mercy because it was probably on at 4 o'clock in the morning.
SPEAKER_01Good point.
unknownFine.
SPEAKER_00But if this isn't anything, there was no the only way you watched a movie. The only way you watched anything on demand is if you had uh it on VHS. And you had a VCR because not everyone had a VCR.
unknownThey didn't?
SPEAKER_00Well, alright. Maybe 20 years ago, maybe not 30 years ago.
unknownThey did it?
SPEAKER_00No. I really did. Yeah, I did too.
SPEAKER_01I remember having one when I was like six.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we had one too. My dad used to record all the the boxing from um HBO, and the VCR that we had was two big boxes, one on top of the other, and the remote had a wire.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, yeah, I remember my my um cable the cable remote was like a box with a wire, and yeah, I remember that.
SPEAKER_00But I'm talking about the VCR, and the thing the thing popped up from the top, you put the tape and you put it down, but you needed to have both boxes for some reason in order to watch and record. It was like this silver, it looked like a fucking plane dash. You know, there was so many. I remember there was so many buttons on it. It wasn't like the ones that, like, say I had when I was old enough to have one. You know, it wasn't like, oh, you just pop the tape in and you hit, you know, and it plays automatically.
SPEAKER_01No, this shit was And you know what to be fair though, they technology lasted longer. Like I have a DVD player, and I'm like, this is irrelevant right now. I'm just sitting here with this DVD player, and the time of history, it was it it didn't have a chance. It really wasn't out long enough.
SPEAKER_00No. We we had a DVD player, and honestly, I think we threw it away because now if we want to watch a DVD, we put it in like the PlayStation or the Xbox.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, yeah, we don't have any games in the house, we don't have any game consoles in the house.
SPEAKER_00And my computer doesn't have a hard uh CD ROM, but I have an external one. Cause I have a Mac so it doesn't it doesn't come with it anymore. So I had to buy a separate one.
SPEAKER_01But I can watch on my on my computer, so it's like you know the only DVD I want to watch are my exercise videos that I had. Like I had some for Tony. Anyway, I was like, damn, I want to do that again. But I'm like, oh, it doesn't mean walk anymore. So I was like, fuck, I don't know if it was the DVDs themselves or if it was the DVD player or the TV. I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_00We really don't watch DVDs here. The only time that we we really used to watch them is when you know times were tough and the cable went out. It went out because I couldn't pay the bill on time, so they cut us off. And then we would just start at like disc one of the friends box set.
SPEAKER_01And then I think I watched like I didn't have cable, I didn't have like premium cable because I was not at home. Like, why spin it? And I watched my brother had like bootleg DVDs of the Sopranos, and I watched the entire series of Sopranos when I was pregnant. I'm like, this is fucking awesome.
SPEAKER_00I haven't seen that in a while.
SPEAKER_01Love Tony Soprano. That's the kind of man that I want, like the powerful one. Not necessarily dancing on feeding, but like that. I need a big boss. Well, I need a man with bigger balls and be. And that's not easy to find. Oh god. Alright, my ship is marinating. I gotta make my tortilla roll, my disc. Alright, boss. So I told you.
SPEAKER_00I left the recording on this whole time.
SPEAKER_01Any other time we tell each other to leave it alone, we don't.
SPEAKER_00I know. I did though.
SPEAKER_01Candidates of us.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Alright.
SPEAKER_01Alright, have a have fun.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're gonna go eat margaritas and hob uh margarita popsicles. We're gonna eat margaritas, we're gonna drink margaritas in Hoboven.
SPEAKER_01I'm jealous.
SPEAKER_00You should be. You should come.
SPEAKER_01I should I'm on my way. We'll be there in 20 minutes.
SPEAKER_00I'll wait for you.
SPEAKER_01Jealous.
SPEAKER_00Before we go, I just wanted to tell you something cool. We have I was looking at the stats, and we have listeners in ten different countries.
SPEAKER_01That's exciting. So we have like 10 people listening to listen to us now.
SPEAKER_00I lied. We are in nine countries.
SPEAKER_01We have nine people listening to us. Thank you, those are nine people.
SPEAKER_00At least nine people. Do you want to know what countries? Yes, tell me. Okay, well, aside from the states, Germany, Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Russia, the UK, and Serbia.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00That's like a really wide range of different places.
unknownVery interesting.
SPEAKER_00And then there's it it gives a breakdown by city, but I'm not gonna get into that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, I interesting. I'm now gonna go back and think about this and look for a pattern because you know the reason behind things I I I don't know. I'll just give yeah. So yeah, I'm gonna do some research and do some look for some patterns.
SPEAKER_00I just found it cool because I'm like, wow, who would have thought that somebody in I don't know, Serbia was interested. But what do I know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. Obviously, we are more interested than we think we are.
SPEAKER_00I'd I'd like to think so. I mean less interesting. I'd like to think I'm fascinating, but I could be biased.
SPEAKER_01Just like I think I'm funny, but people are like, yeah, no, I actually am not. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but like even in the States it's uh it's a pretty wide range of places. So that's cool. Yeah, so thank you guys.
SPEAKER_01Thank you guys.
SPEAKER_00Alright, well, I'll let you get off the phone.
SPEAKER_01Alright, I'm on my way out the door. Alright, guys, would you stop looking like a crazy?
SPEAKER_00Alright, bye.
