I had to go pick up some things at Walmart, and they had, I don't even know, but Walmart and Target have like their 50 cent like dinner wear and plastic bowls and stuff, right? Sure. They had plastic, cute little martini glasses, really cute ones. I was like, let me just grab some. And I realized I don't have martini glasses. I have Cosmoglasses. I have sniffers. I have shop, you name it. I have every other glass there is. I don't have martini glasses. I'm like, Do you even drink martinis? I drink martinis.

While before the end of the season, they knew they weren't coming back. Of airing, but they had already filmed and they were already like productions already done when they did this, when they found out they weren't coming back. I had to go to therapy for that, but not that. Um, but I'm excited for that. And I'm actually gonna go back and watch it again.

I guess I can see how it could have been the series finale because sometimes I know shows like to leave things a little open-ended because it it gives them room for the future, but this just didn't feel like that. This this felt like it wasn't intentional.

Yeah, this definitely this is not open-ended. There was a complete Grand Canyon of openness because it wasn't planned to be the last one. That being said, knowing that it wasn't planned, it was still a really good final episode. Let's say it was a a really good season finale and uh intriguing series finale. It turned out to be so to speak, so it wasn't too bad.

But then when they move into the other scenes, like you know, when they went to the land of Oz, aka Nevada, I kind of had a feeling that that was all it was just a dream. I used to read Word Up magazine. So you know, I'm like, okay. Or I was like, or is this some Bob Hope shit? Like, um, not Bob Hope, um JR Newman.

Which Starbucks mug is that, Lisa? Is that the Brooklyn one? Your Disney one. Okay. 45th anniversary. Okay. Lisa has a mug collection. Dina Stan turned up the heat on advance. Why I can never remember his name. They want their wives left out of the bullshit that this dude has ha he has planned with the pyramid scheme. And then they threaten further, they threatened physical violence. And he's like, I've been like, I was bullied my whole life. He goes through all the shit that he's gone through and he canceled my bag. He goes, the only way you're gonna shut me up is to kill me.

I I feel torn in this scene. Because on one hand, I'm like, oh, look at Dean and Stan putting their foot down, leave our wives out of it. Stan shut that garage door, like, oh no, we're not talking about punches. And Vance, I I can't even be mad at Vance because he was just like, who'll come and collect it? He was like, You think a dude my size hasn't gotten bullied? And he hands him a bat, like he didn't even fucking flinch. And I'm like, you know what? I'm not I'm not even mad at your like right there. Because it's like, what else are you gonna do? Run away in fear? Or or like and and his balls dropped last episode.

That was amazing. So Ruby's telling no one. In the middle of her speech, the journal a journalist begins asking Beth if she knew that Councilman Nick used city projects for kickbacks and money laundering. Beth defends him and says she'll do anything she can to maintain the community trust. She gave a really diplomatic answer. I didn't know anything about this, but I am standing strong on my promise to keep right. Meanwhile, back at the farm, Nick's phone is blown the fuck up, and for the first time, the guy is shook. And then our friendly agents on vacation give Nick a visit. Nick turns the table on Rio, strongly implying that his brusin, brusin cousin, cousin, brusin, sister, all right, brother cousin. Because I have sister cousins. I have a sister cousin. Yep. She used to do my hair when I was a little girl. This is a little bit of a difference.

And she's like, Oh, she just casually one envelope, two envelopes, don't threaten me with a good sign. And then after like the last one, which was probably like number six at least, right? And she's like, like her face says it like that. That that's how.

That's the yeah. And here comes Annie's turn. She pictures a little spring break to Kevin, who's back in the homeless community. And she's like, I bought an RV. She bought an RV and wants him to go on a permanent spring break with her. And now it's Bet's turn. Mick shows up to Beth's house. And if we know one thing, it's that when Mick shows up, someone's getting shot. Oh, she's like, Well, what is she's like, where he did the pick, we did the drop-off. He goes, It's not about that. And also you see him putting his gloves on. She says, My kids are upstairs. So he very respectfully puts a silencer on the p on the on the pistol. So, you know, he's respectful.

And she just drops. All you hear, and Dean is in the garage because he's supposed to be going for a bike ride. Well, by then, he's already kind of banging the door.

Yeah, but he can't get out of the garage. So he so by then he. Yeah. The next scene, the Bowl's are in their brand new house. Beth is sporting a bandage shoulder. Annie wakes up on the couch outside her RV with Kev, and they're parked in a bottom desert somewhere with Ben. Ruby and Stan have matching on shirts. So they're also out west with their plan of kick-soff-starting a nail salon. Too good to be true. What do you think?

But the manager likely already single the police. And if you just try to take my purse, I'll just stall you. And the cops will be right outside. And he goes, Do you do you want to die? And she's like, Kinda.

And this beautiful reality in their new life, post Detroit suburb, they kind of underestimated what the move was going to take on their kids. Ben is not doing lacrosse anymore. He didn't tell his mom. Because the team won't let him change in the boys' locker room. And honestly, I forgot that the actor had transitioned. Because he's just-I just know him as Ben. Sarah Health takes a turn for the worse again. She's her body is rejecting the kidney. So Annie and Ruby, they're really second-guessing their decision. Beth goes, we'll get through it. And every time they say something, she goes, We'll get through it. And they're like, How? She goes, I've been knitting. And I was just like, now mind you, for Beth to be knitting, she's because she's bored. And it's not like her life seems to be so far so good. But she's bored to tears. She likes the life of crime. And as the series begins, it ends. Oh, so you think. And the women don't their new mask and hold up the grocery store. She forgets this is fucking Nevada now, right? This is Nevada. Open Carrie, which lot of states, and CCW's galore. Okay. So she gets shot by uh a custom who carries. And she's bleeding out, and she sees Fitzpatrick. He's like, Told you he'll be back. You'll be back. They always come back. The crazy ones always come back. I know this. He's like, what did you think you were going to happen? You can't run from who you are, Beth. How many times have I told you? She he would have been a good backup to move off. Like if she didn't have kids, like I totally would have ran off with him.

I have a peach for you to fill up on. And of course, she wakes up and the police are all over her Michigan home. And she's and when she's asked who shot her, but she says she doesn't know. This is when Beth tells Ruby and Annie, um, we're not going to Nevada after all. I've come to the conclusion that nothing's going to be different. And Ruby goes, Except you won't be a criminal, a criminal. And Beth goes, exactly. So the woman goes, Well, you know, you're lucky Nick Mick missed. But Beth's like, Mick does not miss. And why would he leave the fucking gun with my fingerprints all over it? Because remember, this is the gun that Rio had over her head. Rio then visits Nick, who's behind who's in fucking jail? Like, did anyone see that coming?

Well, because that's what I was thinking at first. But you in this scene, if you're paying attention, you see Annie's face starts making all these facial expressions.

Like well, I didn't put it together. I I just assumed that that was the gun that was used to kill Lucy, and now it was gonna tie Beth into that murder. But then when Rio and Nick are talking, and he's like, No, I took your advice, because he's like, Oh, but next next time you you you do the job, make sure you finish. And he's like, I did. And then he's like, wait, what?

Next, when we see Annie, we put she's putting all her credit cards, her phone, and her ring inside a large envelope. She stands up and an officer slaps plate, slaps handcuffs on her wrist. Ruby tells Stan that they need to wait to make their move because she can't leave. Annie's in jail for we know Lucy's murder. We don't know, but we know. Like, she can't leave her friend like this. And he's like, she could meet, we she could meet us out there when she decides which family she oh, he's like, he's not having it. He wants to just go. And then finally he tells her, Well, you can meet us out there where you decide what family you want to be part of. What there was a scene where you see she's looking at like suitcases and stuff. And first I thought she was doing laundry. I'm like, no, she's packing. I think she's packing. Was she packing, Lisa?

And I think, and you think he's gonna be something like smart ass to like to put her back in her place. He goes, You got it, boss. I And it's still smart. I think if if if it continued, it was just gonna be like, sure, if you want to think that way. But considering this is the last episode, period, I like to think it of he's down with the switch.

One, the kid is like, oh, I want to go on this swing, and she's like, Oh, you have to wait your turn, he'll share. And I'm like, well, then she's definitely not talking about one of her kids. Either that or that's the biggest growth of this whole series is that the kid learned to share. Because we all know her kids don't share.

But also, uh, you know, that that was him pushing the hair back from her has kind of been a thing throughout the whole series. But this one was terrible. Her hair wasn't even in her fucking face. It was like one little wisp, strand of hair. It's like you couldn't put her hair, more of her hair down so that he could actually push it back. Like it just, it was so awkward. I don't know. It just it wasn't, it was no longer sexy, it was no longer sweet, it was just weird to me now.

I will say this in her little fantasy where Dean was dressed up for his job at like the Nevada Maserati company or whatever, he he wore that well. Like he looked like he gained a little weight, but he I don't know, like I feel like aside from you know, the other scene where he dressed up, like that's the most attractive that we've seen Dean. Yeah. Like he he was smiling and he was he he wears he wears those business clothes pretty well. Yeah, he does.

I overall I think it was a good series. It wasn't it wasn't too deep, but it did explore different tomes. Is that the right word? Like you know, but it was it was good because it gave you the drama, the comedy, so what's that like dramedy? I think they call them. Whatever. I enjoyed it. I would have watched it on my own. Oh, okay. I mean, I remember seeing the commercials and thinking like, oh, okay. And then I don't know, I never got to it.

There's so many shows that I'm like, oh, okay, and then I don't even get to, and I'm going back to it now. Like right now, I'm kind I it's only eight episodes, but I within a matter of well of two days because I slept a lot. I watched um two seasons of The Lioness. So fucking, so fucking good. So good. Zoe Soldana, Nicole Kidman. This so fucking good. If you're into like spy dramas, but a lot of shows I'm like, yeah, I'll do it later, I'll do it later. And I never get to it or I forget about it, or it. But that's it works out the best because you have to binge watch the whole series.
