Hi, and welcome to this episode of Sassin Sips. Today we're talking about girls, season two, episode four. Pick your poison. I'm Lisa, and I'm sipping on red wine for this recording today.
SPEAKER_00And I'm Agnes, and I'm sipping on pineapple juice. I swear it is pineapple juice. With tequila, but still. It's pineapple juice with tequila, yes. And it's really good. I took a sip as Lisa was um entering us into this episode, and my face just lit up like, oh, that was good, because I haven't tasted it yet. And somehow free tequila always tastes better.
SPEAKER_01I mean yeah, free. Free is for me. So good girls. Pick your poison. I cannot wait for you to get all hot and bothered this episode.
SPEAKER_00Any hot takes other than me and you mocking my loneliness.
SPEAKER_01It wasn't a good episode. No, it was a good episode. The lead up to like the climax, so to speak, of the episode. Unintended. Was was really really well done. But then it kind of flopped a little bit after that. It it just was kind of like wait, it it was kind of like threads flapping in the wind. Yeah. Like there was no yeah, it just kind of like jumped, you know? And it so like the continuity of it seemed a little off. But it could just be something that had to be done for time, and then and then you know, maybe in the next episode it'll it'll get ironed out a little bit, but yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's why I kind of like technology now, because I've just been watched, and I feel like as a bin watcher, as a binge watcher, I catch things that I normally wouldn't have caught waiting a week for a show. Um before I used to just save everything on my DBR and then watch it at the end of the season or midway in the season or something that, you know, Alex. I love to do that. It's the same thing as binge watching before streaming became such a thing.
SPEAKER_01Right, but now when we put on a television show, we can sit and say, oh, okay, I'm gonna start the oh, I like this show. Oh, there's another episode, okay. I'm gonna watch it. Oh, oh I I I don't have time to watch another episode. Okay, I'll have to stop. But then I can go back later, I can go back tomorrow. I mean, hell, if I can't get back for a week, I can I can replay a previous episode. So, like even now, when there's shows that I watch that are I mean, we solely stream. So even network television, I have to wait for it to come on to a streaming streaming service, but then sometimes when it's the next season, I'll go back and I'll watch maybe the last one or two episodes of the previous season so that I can just kind of get back into that groove. Because like you said, sometimes you miss things when you have to remember but um hold on, I gotta remember where I was going with this. Oh, but like even when we had cable and D VR, and you had to wait week by week because you're watching whatever for the first time, he would love to wait and and let the episodes build up, and I'm like, yeah, like I don't mind watching one or two and then waiting for the next and then watching another one or two, but like I don't want to wait three months, four months before I can watch because then I get spoilers. Okay, so and it's inevitable.
SPEAKER_00I've been really good with avoiding spoilers 99% of the time, because most people don't watch what I watch, that's that. Um, I just I guess I've been lucky. I haven't been and then also there's other, and as far as like what I'm gonna watch, just shit from last season that I didn't watch, I wanted to wait. So um yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I have to say, even this, right? Like last episode, we were like, oh, what's in the storage locker, right? And then when I I went on to IMDB because I wanted to see when the episode air date was. And you know how sometimes on IMDb they'll show like a video montage or pictures from the show?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so there was a video of them opening the storage locker and what was in it. And I was like, well, well then. And I was like, well, at least it was the next episode. Like we had, like I at least I saw it now and not before I watched the last episode.
SPEAKER_00At least you're not two episodes we had.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it's just you know, like I I wanted to enjoy the reveal. Like while I sat and I watched and I was in it. I didn't want to find out what it was before I was intended to. So I just feel like there's spoilers in a lot of aspects that you don't even realize. And I don't know. So that's why I I try so hard to stay as current as I can.
SPEAKER_00So you're not disappointed. Because I'm inadvertently spoiled.
SPEAKER_01I get that.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I know I'm neurotics. I know. Sorry for your pain and suffering.
SPEAKER_00No, I was agreeing with you. You know what? I'm gonna stop being sure. No, no, no. I'm just saying, like, you know, whoever. Whoever. Whoever is pain and suffering. Yeah. Well, fuck everybody else's pain and suffering. They don't matter. Wow.
SPEAKER_01Hey, you don't matter, but please listen to us and support our show. But you don't matter.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's only think about the listeners. I would I didn't know you were referring to your listeners. It's more like people in your life.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_00Like, you know, people in your life that have to watch TV with you, their pain and suffering. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm not worried about that. I could go watch TV.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that's what I'm saying, you know, screw the people, screw your loved ones.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just I just felt like there was just a a lot like it was one storyline, but there were a lot of little like butterflies around it, you know?
SPEAKER_00Is that your hot take? Yeah, I guess. Okay, that's it. Butterflies floating around.
SPEAKER_01I guess. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm taking another sip. And I pre-made them a couple days ago so they could be ready for me. All I had to do was like pick them out of the refrigerator and I'm an idiot. No shit.
SPEAKER_01I poured I poured I poured wine. I made three jugs.
SPEAKER_00You poured wine.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm I made oh I said in and I had sangria in the fridge.
SPEAKER_00Oh, nice. I made like wine, you had sangria in the fridge.
SPEAKER_01And then I made like threes of sangria. Am I really fucking frozen again? Now it's saying I can hear you.
SPEAKER_00It goes back and forth. Like sometimes I can still hear you, but you're but your but your video is frozen for a good like two or three minutes. And or sometimes you're breaking up a little bit. It goes back and forth. Sometimes the video is not frozen, audio is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I made I made like three jugs. Two five-liter jugs and one four-liter jug. And then I want Lisa Sangria. And then I filled up a wine bottle and I put it like on the side. Because usually when Jessica comes, she brings her own bottle, and then I fill it for her so she can get a to-go bottle. And I was so when she came, I was like, Where's your bottle? And she was like, Oh, I forgot. And so I was like, Oh, it's it's too bad. Somebody didn't figure you would. And I pulled the bottle out of the fridge. Aww.
SPEAKER_02I was like, Of course.
SPEAKER_01She brought me matches. I gave her sangria. Totally fair trade. Brought you matches. Okay. She was like, I'm putting in a curbside order. What do you need? I was like, matches, like all different kinds. She brought like especially the long ones. Long ones. Like they're good, they're so much better for the fire pit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So and I'm like, what do I owe you? Nothing.
unknownFine.
SPEAKER_00But you get pissed when people say that, but at the same time, when you say it's okay.
SPEAKER_01Right, of course.
SPEAKER_00It's just the way we are.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm older than her, so it's you know, it's okay when I say it. By what?
SPEAKER_00A year? Oh no.
SPEAKER_01Oh, she's younger. Five. Like five years. I mean, at this age, it's nothing, but I was like, okay. Here's your bottle of sangria. Because I knew you were gonna do that.
SPEAKER_00Because you that was like fun was had by all.
SPEAKER_01I did. I did.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad you did.
SPEAKER_01I always have a good time. I always just wish that I had more time to like be in the conversation rather than.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so how much you prep, you're never going to.
SPEAKER_01No. I'm I I told Alex, I was like, okay, then next time we're gonna have to like, you know, maybe save up a couple hundred extra bucks and then just like do it somewhere else. No, like just high like hire the people who are just gonna come and like serve the food and like bring out the food and put the food away and so that I don't have to be the one, you know, and everybody's always like, oh, let me help, let me help. No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00You just go get in my way and that's gonna stress me out. Well, not even just sit, just relax. Like I have a way of a process of how I do things. So out the kitchen, I will but you know, for the most part, most of yourself is self-serve though.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, no, no, I know, but it's all about making sure everything is done and put out, and then yeah, you know, whatever. And just I just want people to come here and I just want people to enjoy themselves and feel taken care of, and I appreciate that you want to help, but I want you to be my guest.
SPEAKER_00As a guest in your home doing one of your events, I can tell you unbiasedly, because you and I are the same type as you know, if you did one eighth of what you do, your guests would still feel at home and well, I'm sure they would be taken care of.
SPEAKER_01But it's it's a me thing. And I know that.
SPEAKER_00So get therapy. In a bottle. I was I was like, I was thinking more in a bottle. Get therapy in a bottle.
SPEAKER_01Uh uh.
SPEAKER_00But okay, let's call Dr. K.
SPEAKER_01So like Dr. Dr. W got it. Yes. Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's just, it's just, it's, it's in a way, it's my love language. It's I want action. You're here, I want to take care of you. I want, you know, and and my kids could tell you, I'm not like you. When they're hungry in the middle of the night, yeah. When they're hungry in the middle of the night, I'm like, well, you better see what you find, because I ain't doing it.
SPEAKER_00Because they know you love them already, so it's fine.
SPEAKER_01But when I invite you here because I want to host, I am going to make sure that you feel like you have been treated well. Oh, whatever.
SPEAKER_00I know the audacity.
SPEAKER_01I know. Anyway.
SPEAKER_00Okay, our episode is over now. Right. That is our time for the day. Have a great week, guys. Good girls. Season two, episode four. Pick your poison. Lisa chose sangria. I'm choosing.
SPEAKER_01Well, I I should have chosen sangria, but I'm an idiot who forgot that I made all that.
SPEAKER_00I'm okay with you pausing the episode for you to go get that sangria. I would co-sign that. Off the side note, your video is so much better now. Because before you were choppy and great. The video is better, everything's better. Okay, all right. Okay. Okay, good. Thank you. It was weird to talk to you and not get your let's not jinx it. Oh.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit, I thought you froze for a second. I was like, oh, son of a bitch. I just shut down. I'm like, okay, what do I do now? We talk about the episode before we lose the internet.
SPEAKER_00Agnes had a 404 error message.
SPEAKER_01No, um, um, if this finishes, I'll go down and I'll refill, but I'm not moving back.
SPEAKER_00That's not poison. So um, I forgot that we were even talking about Sassin Sips. Good girls. Because I'm like, okay, about Lisa's party. So in the aftermath of last week's episode, we see the three girls. The the three golden girls, because you keep calling you keep calling golden girls. No. Good girls. They're dealing with the aftermath of their own way. Ruby is not, okay, not that it means she's not doing well, but she's not doing well because you see her reading the Bible and making like notes and just studying the Bible. Stan's like, what the fuck? Beth is being Suzy Homemaker on crack. Uh Annie. Can I say something?
SPEAKER_01You can say anything you want. Okay. Those sandwiches were absolutely fucking adorable. Okay, she was with the cookie cutters and the vegetables and the olives and the city. And the each sandwich, a different animal? I know. Like, what beautiful creativity and and all that. But then I'm like, as soon as those fuckers pick up their lunch boxes and throw them, uh, you know, when they get to school, those faces are gonna look like a mangled car wreck. Um, what what's the point? Like, if they're not eating it at home, I'm sorry, but that's just poor planning.
SPEAKER_00Well, this was I think that's the whole like Susie homemaker on crack. Because I don't know. I think she was just so like I wonder if she actually does all of that on a normal basis. Like before her life of crime, did she make animal faces with eyes and ears?
SPEAKER_01And I feel like yes, because I'm sorry, but how how do you go from hey, I've never done this before, and then one morning you get up and decide to make it for breakfast and you succeed. No, I don't like with that level of beauty at all.
SPEAKER_00I don't think it was she didn't do it at all. I don't think she went to that detail because it looks like everyone went to the extreme. Like Ruby and Stan go to church. But she's sitting there reading the Bible and she's like stressed about, she's studying it. Annie has always been a good person, but she's like, I'm going to take care of Mary and be her foster daughter. Like, I think they took it to a new level.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I see. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I see what you're saying, and yes, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Are you picking up what I'm putting down?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Are you smelling the rock is cooking? I love him so much.
SPEAKER_02Sniff him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And Mary Pat is cleaning her mini freezer. Her Yeti box. I call it the Yeti box. I've seen Yeti cool is bigger than that, but okay. Yeah. So Mary Pat was cleaning her mini freezer, like a mad woman. Yeah. And you saw her son looked at like he's playing his game, and then he looks over at her, and they like that knowing look. That poor kid is older than he's supposed to be at this point. Um, I don't remember how the next scene, like they segue into the next scene, but you see Beth walking into the restaurant, and you see our favorite group. Well, I think that after CEO after the the beginning scenes with all of them kind of doing their extra And it's going back and forth between um the it's like a montage of the of the truck of the dump of the garbage truck picking up the body, driving, dumping in the landfill, it's going back and forth between the ladies.
SPEAKER_01But then you get the good girl's title card, and then it moves into okay, so it's not a scene.
SPEAKER_00I didn't miss anything.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no. And then it moves into kind of like the the the rest of the story.
SPEAKER_00So I didn't miss a scene. It was just weird. I'm like, okay. Because in case you guys weren't listening last week, I I was way ahead. I forgot we didn't record one episode. I watched the next episode with my notes that I was ready to go. And you'd think I would have been a professional and you know, re-watched it to refresh my memory. Nah, I didn't do that. Because fuck that professional where? Not here. So she goes and meets the CEO and she's trying to act cool. You see her body language, she's just kind of like sauntering in there and just chill. She's like, I'm done. And because he's like slides her a key, the key to the kingdom.
SPEAKER_01No, he had already given it to her last week. So she's gonna be bringing it back to him.
SPEAKER_00She's giving it back. Okay, so I got wait, wait, hold up. There you go. Reim the video, my mental video. Are they having a conversation about like what does she want to be? And she's like, he's like, what do you want? An astronaut? Like he's like making fun of her. He was like, I just want to be a good person. He's like, nah, that's not what you want. And the way he said that, I was like, oh, come here. I'll tell you what I want. I thought something when I saw that scene, I'm like, Lisa's gonna have a shillow to say about this that line. No. No? Because it was like one of the sexiest lines I've ever heard. Are your boobs tilted your tit your picture? Yes.
SPEAKER_01It's they're not. It's just the angle of the angle? The video is the the computer is like at an angle. Okay. So everything looks like it's tilted.
SPEAKER_00Like the see the wall looks straight. It still looks like it's like a space, like it's it looks like it's less space up here than it is down there. I believe you. No, see? No, I believed you. I just want you to know that I'm not crazy. Now it's tilted. Just seeing how a crackhead. I don't know. Whatever. I love that picture. Thank you. You're welcome. We see Annie being I I like to call her a little candy Mary's candy striper. Yeah. Because she's just, she's going through her stuff and help her go through a mail, and she realizes that she's about to be evicted.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And Mary's like, oh, that's okay. Leslie got it. He'll take care of it. And Annie's just like, yeah, no. He's like, he always takes care of it. And she's like, but what if he doesn't take care of it? What if he doesn't come back? Oh, he'll be back. And then of course Annie and her heart of gold. It just kind of I feel. Why do I feel so bad for them?
SPEAKER_01Well, because we find out that Boomer, Boomer had been taking care of all of her finances. So takes care of.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00I feel like I'm calling Annie at this point because like she's so heartbroken of being such a bad person. I don't know, you know what I mean? Like she's for her to have the biggest mouth, and I love Annie, but she's like the one, you know, she has she's probably the softest.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00She's totally the softest. Ruby and her um guilt-ridden man mania is organizing stint things for um homeless shelters.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. She's got like four piles for like different charities.
SPEAKER_00Different things. And I think Stan comes in and he makes a joke about the can of corn.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because he they're they're gonna like need money or he whatever.
SPEAKER_00Right before that, she was just like, um, bakers can't be choosers. Like, maybe get that can corn.
SPEAKER_01Right, right, right. Because because is one of them only wanted like peanut butter and jelly. That's what it was. And she was like So they get to they get to be choosy now? That's what I'm saying. And he's like, he was like, well, you might want to hold on to that corn.
SPEAKER_00Um, they got another EOB. He had to be bad for him because he went in for he goes, I am not going back to this payday loan. And they're not gonna look at me like this, and they're not gonna treat me like this. And I walked out with another loan. Right. And that's I get that.
SPEAKER_01And and honestly, that's what the system is designed to do. It's designed to keep you coming back because that's how they fucking make money. If if they would go out of business if they weren't making money. So that's I I mean you know, it's at our expense.
SPEAKER_00I mean they they they also have a purpose because people obviously couldn't absolutely pay their fucking bills. I think it's a purpose, the fact that we need that is a problem. Right. You know what I mean? Right.
SPEAKER_01Um So that's why he was like, Yeah, but you might want to keep that corn.
SPEAKER_00Hold on to that corn there, buddy. Um and of course, um, the next scene, following scene, and please, Lisa, let me know if I forget anything, because I just write notes of the important stuff. I don't do like the the segue stuff.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um what's her name? Kitty Batootie Booty. Beth is driving up to the lot, to the the dealership, and Dean is deaning. He Dean has deaned Dean has deaned to the utmost of Deanery, and all his vehicles on a lot of being repossessed. Yeah. Um, so she's like, okay, this is a problem. She's like, okay, I'm gonna have to fix this problem. And this is when we actually get to know what the content of the storage locker is, because Beth just now decides to tell them that there is a storage locker, and these are the content. And this is palettes upon palette, actually like four palettes stacked so high, they're probably taller than me and you, full of cash. I they call it gift wrapping paper.
SPEAKER_01I was close. That's what I that's what I said. I thought it was I I mean I thought it was gonna be wrapping paper, but it's it's just gift wrapping cash.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we should call it Christmas cash. Oh, Christmas cash. Okay, so it's yeah, and it they look pretty damn good to me. Um and then Ruby's trying to count, she's like, This is how much is here? And then Beth is like, she hold it, she's like, this is 20,000, this is 60,000. She's like, Don't bother counting. I've been trying to count it for weeks, and it's like fucking weeks.
SPEAKER_01Right, because so when they walk in, because she's like, I gotta show you guys something. And when she lets them in, she was they were like, How long have you had this? And she didn't tell them, right? She was like, Not that long, like, you know, and she and she she really downplayed. And so then when she makes that comment, like, oh, I've been trying to don't bother, I've been trying to count it for weeks. That's what Annie is like, what the fuck? Like, what the fuck for weeks? Like, you've been holding out on us for weeks, and I'm back to the city.
SPEAKER_00I'm just trying to save you from what? Pet for being happy for being rich?
SPEAKER_01But the thing is, like, I kind of see where Beth came from. Saying, right? Because this is mean nothing but trouble. And and you know, how long before this was Ruby bitching about you didn't give us a choice and you made the decision and blah, blah, blah. So okay, well, you know what? You didn't want to have a part, blah blah blah. So if we don't have it to begin with, there's nothing to tell you. Right. But I feel like in the best thing she should have done was tell them and then they make a decision. Right. This is what happened.
SPEAKER_00What do you want to do about it? Right, because Beth is still trying to be mom to adults. And I think that's what like I love all three of these ladies. Beth's, you know, everyone has their strengths and their opportunities. Beth's opportunity is trying to mother grown-ass people. Yeah. You can't for so many reasons. You can't you can't mother adults because they need to adult.
SPEAKER_01And then two, they're adults. You can't. And by not telling them, she's taking the decision away from them. Away from them. Like they they are perfectly capable of saying, I want no part. And I think that Beth did it because she didn't know if she wanted a part of it. So without, if she didn't want to be part of it, of course they weren't gonna be part of it. But right, at the same time, it's like, okay, well, now we broke again because that's how life is, and now all of a sudden you want a part of it. And oh, come on, friends. Come on, friends.
SPEAKER_00Right now that she, and like Annie said, now that she needs the money. Exactly. It becomes, okay, now let's talk about it. Um, and this is uh and Annie like throwing the bundles into her shirt and the pockets and then like waddling out.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00It was probably I'm not mad at it. I know. Because she it was it was a funny, but at the same time, we made a complete and utter statement. It was a very definitive statement that she made. Um, so they all decided to do their own thing. They're gonna do like the return, the buy return thing. And this is where I was kind of fucked up when they first came up with the idea. Uh-huh. Um, because I'm like, but but my question was, but don't they have to show their IDs? And obviously they never did. I'm like, okay, maybe I'm just I'm a professional. I mean, I'm a professional. I don't have to show my ID, but now with apps, it's kind of automatic, but it's the same premise of showing your ID. Because everything, you know, my receipts on my app, which is attached to my name. So same premise. You still have to show who you are. They caught on with those heifers. They all get stopped, they can't return, they have to leave the building, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Well, when Annie, they're all in in different stores. Different stores doing the return part. And Annie is like, call your lawyer, like blah, blah, blah, and blah, blah, blah, and blah, blah, blah. And the guy's like, Um, you're not under arrest, you just can't shop in. She's like, Oh, okay, bye.
SPEAKER_00Like, I thought um Ruby was gonna cry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, listen, it's not cool being a black woman through shit illegal because you'll be looked at anyway when you're not doing anything illegal. That is very true. Um, and Beth being Beth, is still PTAing on her ashes being escorted out. I know. Not just walking out, but being escorted out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You're like, oh, and the PTA, and don't, and you have to make this, and don't forget so-and-so can't eat like Yeah. What? Okay, alright.
SPEAKER_00Um, but you know, but I bet you it may be a rumor in the in the school, five minutes later, something else. It was like, oh, it's okay. Yeah. It's fine. Um, Greggles pops up again. Greggles. I got I I can't say Greg anymore. Yes. Greggles pops up, and Annie's like, no, no, no, no, no. She can't say no. And she has like 600 boxes of everything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He's like, what the hell?
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, hello, Facebook Marketplace. I'm sure she can get, but still, I could oh that pain. Um, that was kind of the shorts. I mean, that scene was it was what it was. He popped in, she said no. But I'm sure you have a hot take, because I have nothing about that.
SPEAKER_01No, not really. I just have a question. I have an answer. So maybe this is a really dumb question, right?
SPEAKER_00But in that case, I have a dumb answer.
SPEAKER_01Rio left Beth a storage locker full of cash. Now, granted, it's Christmas cash. Uh-huh. And it's not cash yet, right? Like according to Beth. It's pay for you to turn it into cash. Okay. But it's hers. So be before her job was to wash the cash in order to earn her cash.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01So now this is all hers. So why do they have to wash it? Because you like if hold on, hold on. Okay. If they're using this cash to go get Dean these cars to sell, if they're using this cash to go buy shit in the superstore, why can't they just use that cash to buy groceries instead of neutral blenders? Why can't they use that cash? I so, okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00That was a fruit fly. I wasn't okay. So to have the Christmas cash long enough to buy regular stuff at bulk and then get rid of it quick, fast in a hurry is one thing. To use it just to buy groceries, and that's just it, you're gonna have Christmas cash on you for too long. It'll get back to you. You want to get that Christmas cash into regular cash as soon as possible.
SPEAKER_01But I'm just saying, but like, right, and I I get still having to wash it, but at the same time, I just don't see why if they can, if it's so good that they can use it in the store, then you can pay for your groceries like that. Like maybe you can't deposit it in the bank and write the check for your mortgage, but you could use it to buy your groceries, you could use it to put gas in your car, you could use it to buy ice cream at the ice cream truck. Like, so I just feel like if if you're being given all this cash, yes, there's so much of it that you can't count. Yes, you have to wash it, but it's yours, you're not on a deadline anymore, like in for real. So you're not your your money, your payment, your right, is not contingent on him anymore.
SPEAKER_00Right. So why it's okay, so that solves like the little nickels and dime thing, like because like the 1% of your life. But you still gotta Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I'm I'm not right. So but I'm just saying like I mean, maybe they are buying getting gas real quick, but that doesn't change, you know, like that's that doesn't help. I need to pay my mortgage. That doesn't help with the car, you know, it doesn't help with the the medical bills. Yeah, you you need it, yeah. Yeah. Because the money that I'm saving buying groceries is not gonna go towards the grocery towards the medical bills.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? It's not it's not no, uh no, and I and I know that.
SPEAKER_00So maybe they are, but this is not TV worthy.
SPEAKER_01The the amount, the the amounts that they're spending on like groceries and gas and and incidentals is clearly minuscule. It's like statistically nothing. Maybe they are scared, but I just feel like okay, this is like a bonus. Like, so yes, figure out a way, go watch Ozark, figure out how to wash the money, buy a casino, I don't know, move to Missouri, do what you gotta do. But like you've just been reined upon. Like you have just been like blessed.
SPEAKER_00I would say that's the one. But they're not really blessed until they can get a clean up. So I can see I can see the stressful, you're still like, okay, I have all this money, I really can't solve my big problems with it yet. Yeah, but but still like it's still like you have it's like it's like having water. You're like, oh my god, I'm so thirsty, but it's salt water. You're like, fuck.
SPEAKER_01No, right, right. But I'm just saying, like, the fact that you've now kind of taken Rio out of the equation, and this is yours to do what you want with, I feel like that is the bonus. That is the blessing. Some stress off your back. It should not be so anymore.
SPEAKER_00Gotcha. That's that's that's a very good point, Lisa. Goldilocks.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. You're welcome, Goldie. Because you can you can figure out what to do, but now you're on your own timetable. But yes, you'll still have to do that. Right. You can that's a very good point.
SPEAKER_00I like sometimes it happens. Once in a blue moon, your brain works. Lucky blue moons come once a week with us. Beth and Dean are bonding over when the kids were little humans. Those little people on little humans.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and Dean is just like, I fucked up. I'm so sorry. I I like he just can't get his shit together. So Beth, she goes, I have something to show you. And she takes them and she shows him like the container store, because I had one from container store. I just keep my paper in, so I find it to be funny. I'm like, oh, I had the same sex size. I'm like, oh, that's funny. And he's like, no, I don't want that dirty money from this man. Yep. That that's that's really what it is. At least he said it. And it's not that it was a dirty money from this man, it's dirty money from the man that shot him. Dirty money from the man that shot him. And he kind of, if he doesn't think, he was he knows or thinks that Beth and Hemp has something in the like Right. Well, because she he's like, and how did you get it? And she's like, I earned that.
SPEAKER_01I need a job. Right. What kind of job?
SPEAKER_00I earned it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is that what we're calling it? Like, yeah. What kind of job?
SPEAKER_00Whatever. She's like, I earned it. And that's well, you know, Mary Pat had a part in that too. I would probably give Mary Pat a couple dollars. She did the hard work. She actually did the deed.
SPEAKER_01Then again, Mary Pat is, I don't know. I still don't trust her too much. So I'd keep her as out of it as I possibly as possible.
SPEAKER_00She's like, but what are we gonna do with all this money? She's like, it's not money yet. You gotta make it into money. So you're gonna replace his vehicles on his lot and and get clean cash. Okay, random side note. The fact that she even thinks that he can do this is beyond me. The fact that he has done he's done nothing but fail time after time after time again, and me just watching this for the last, I don't know, couple of months of their lives, he's a fuck up. Yes. And the fact that she's just like, here, take the money back, the plan is good. Trusting Dean to do it, not so good.
SPEAKER_01Like, I think she just wants to like I I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Like she was you want to be able to believe in your man, yeah. Yeah, you need to believe in yourself first and know that he is not the one. Right. So Beth obviously, because I they all realize they can't do this by themselves. They can't do their normal thing. So she tells Ruby, she she tells Ruby the truth about giving Dean the money, and Ruby's like, Ann's gonna lose her fucking shit. She's like, She sure is. She's like, just don't tell her. She's like, that's your sister. And then of course, you see how right you and I are about Dean. She pulls up and she's watching Dean not sell cars. A big fucking balloon, the wavy balloon, the what was it? Big old gorilla. Gorilla. Inflatable gorilla. She watches Dean. How do you not? Okay.
SPEAKER_01Listen, and and I know sometimes you have to spend a little like on the marketing and the whatever so that you can get your ROI.
SPEAKER_00Until she watches him lose, practically almost lose the sale, lose the sale with the girl, because she's tight. This is a mom looking at a minivan. You're talking about fucking V8 engines.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. And she's she's she's got a kid, a car seat, a diaper bag, and she's looking at a minivan. And he's like, hey, but what about this car?
SPEAKER_00You do your audience. No, right. So Beth swoops in and she almost has it saved. He asks, How many baits do you have? She goes, your horsepower or something. She goes, somewhere between zero and I don't give a fuck. But this is what I did like. And then comes fucking Dean, fucks that shit up.
SPEAKER_01Right. And then he walked away, I guess maybe like to run her credit or whatever. And then Beth is like, she has her on the house.
SPEAKER_00This is test drive. He's like, no, we can't do that. But this is what we're going to do. And then he had like 600 sports cars. Yeah. I'm going to tell you right now, yes, they're high, no, they're high-ticket items. Of course. You don't need. But they don't sell. No. No. No. People don't go to okay. If people who only want sports cars, for the most part, would go to uh the luxury high-end people that only sell sports cars. People who go to your normal dealerships have a normal people. They're looking for like a lot of people. Are you gonna get a sports car driver? Yeah, because you need to have one. But yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But they're looking for e economical. They're looking for a deal. They're looking for affordability. They're looking for the book trucks.
SPEAKER_00They're looking for like every day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you know more than most. I mean, you know. I mean, yeah, you like I'm just saying, because you I think at most we have two or three. Yeah, and it's not so bad to keep. And that's it. Right. Keep one of those. Because you know two.
SPEAKER_00But you know, but with those cars, guess what? They're gonna be special ordered anyway. Because they're coming for a sports car, they're gonna want this, this, and this, and this on it. And we got this, and we will special order that for them. There's no need to have 600 different sting grades on the lot. Right. When the mean average, when people for the average only make 80,000 a year on average. It's more than I make. Well, I that's more that's twice what I make. But still. Um Yeah, people are not looking for that. Right. Dean Deaned the worst possible deaning way. Um he's on an adjective. Annie is back with Marion, and this is how she realized how bad Leslie fucked over his grandmother. She gets a knock, there's a knock on the door, she answers it, and it's the landlord, and it's an eviction notice. She goes, how can you do this to her? It's only been one month. He goes, one month? It's been six months. She hasn't paid render six months. Like, no, no, no, lies. She said, going on to going on a year. No, I thought it was I thought it was six months. He said six months, and then he said, he said, this he said something about putting up for like, we've been giving her time for six months. Oh, okay. But having get paid for going on a year.
SPEAKER_02Ugh.
SPEAKER_00So it's like And this is when Annie's like, oh fuck, no. And realize how bad that he was actually stealing from her. Not being lazy, just he was stealing from his grandmother. And go figure that was a good one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, it that that's probably why he hung around.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you know, because he got something out of it. Beth goes to Annie with a nice huge hunk of humble pie, and she tells Annie, like, what she did, and then Dean fucked it up. And they go and they sit on the couch and talk about all the excuses. They're like, was it like the fires in California and then 9-11 and then the economy and then like the Brexit? Yeah, it was all that. The houses, the housing crisis. Yeah. It was just a whole bunch of random shit. They're just like going to the funniest part though. And she's like, how did I not see it? And we Yeah. And of course, Beth does what she does, and the girls go in and they fix shit. And he does not look happy. Like she's selling cars, and he looks like he he just sucked on a lemon. Actually, I like lemons. I would suck on them and be happy. Yeah, I think. But normal people would have a sour face. Me? Yeah. Not so much. Maybe it's all the tequila we drink. We're used to the lemon. I know she did it to show the vacuum in the minivan, but the crumbs and the things and the it had like a moment of anxiety.
SPEAKER_01She poured pretzels all over the floor, let the kids stomp so that she can show the feature of the like in the vacuum.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The vacuum that was like attached to the car, which is actually really cool, but pretty cool. I wanna know that she knows her audience. Like, she knows who she's trying to sell to because she is, she can relate. Like, she is the perfect person to sell that car.
SPEAKER_00But and even if it wasn't for that car person, I think she would be up, she has a way of knowing who she's speaking to, period. Yeah. If she's a sports car person, I think she would have been able to. If it was a hybrid, whatever the case may be.
SPEAKER_01I mean, honestly, all really to sell that sports car, all she has to do is go like this a little, you know, with them show them the Lisa rack. The Lisa rack. Forget the Lisa rack, show them that Beth rack.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, that bath rack is something serious. I've her back must hurt. For sure. I feel so bad for her. Uh so after her and the girls like amazing tag team. Week of selling vehicles, and they have their money, and she's counting out their profit, their money, and did threes. It's like the best feeling in the world. Um, so her and Dean go out to dinner, celebrate, you know, have a good old time. And she goes, Well, I have some ideas.
SPEAKER_01And he just pops her on the head and keeps it moving. Well, and he's like, Okay, can we get a wine list? Like, oh, can we? And she's like, Okay, but I want to talk about, oh, okay, hey, can you tell me the specials?
SPEAKER_00And he's like so dismissive of her. Because he knows exactly what she's gonna talk to him about and she doesn't care. He pretty much pats on her hair, like, oh, but I know what I'm doing. No, the fuck you do not know what the fuck you're doing. She's done, she checked out. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01And I think this is where she made her decision.
SPEAKER_00Because it snapped.
SPEAKER_01It snapped, yeah. Because now she went from being, oh, because not only that, but when she starts like putting her foot down and talking about, okay, no. And then he's like, he basically says, like, oh my god, but you're so good at like making sandwiches with cooking cutters. So I don't tell you how to make sandwiches, so like don't tell me how to sell cars. And and not like verbatim, but he was a whole that was the gist of it. And and I mean, I can I can feel it. It's like, are you kidding me? Like, you fucked up time and time again, and now this is at least the second time that I have saved your ass and our family, and you're really gonna tell me to stick to making fucking sandwiches? Like instead of acknowledging that, hey, maybe, maybe I can share ideas and we can rise together. You want to keep me down so that you could keep fucking up alone.
SPEAKER_00I would have been like, you know what? I'm making an executive decision. You are no longer allowed to run your business. And the next time you try to run your business, I'll shoot you somewhere else. Yeah. I mean, I feel like I would have been like, I think I that would have been me. I thought, actually, no, because I would never have put up with that shit as long as I have, as long as she has. But at that point, you had to be like, you know what? Mm-mm. You don't have a say in anything. As we can see, future scenes, we will see what happens with his decision making then. So we goes in to pay off her payday loans with her share of the car money. And the guy goes, Okay, he goes, how much you're paying? She goes, principal, interest, fees. And he goes, she goes, Sandy. She what did she say? Self-respect. Yeah. My will to live. All that shit. Dignity. But she pays it off. He goes, okay, see you next month. She goes, Oh, no, you won't. He goes, Oh, yes, I will. He goes, she goes, No, you won't. Oh, yeah. Yes, I will. She goes, you won't be seeing me. He goes, Yes, I will. And it was kind of funny, but not. Yeah, yeah. Um, it kind of like, I tell what's like, you ugly. No, you ugly. No, you ugly. So the next person I'm like goes, Are you done?
SPEAKER_01It was a lot of like, did not, did too, did not, did too, you know. But at the same time, you're like, Rabbit season, duck season.
SPEAKER_00Like duck season, rabbit season. I'm sorry, wabbit season. It's wabbit. Sorry. Wabbit. And I say that really well because as I was growing up, there were certain words I could not say with the R. Like I used to say, so I guess if I could say it again, January.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00February. I just couldn't get it out. Anyway. So wabbit season comes very easy for me. I've never told anyone that story. And I just told you. And then you'll tell everyone. I know. Anyhow. So late, the I think it was a man in line next or woman in line next. But it's a whole someone in line next. It was, yeah, I think it was a woman. Because it's a woman, then a man, then another man, then another woman. Anyway. Um, she's like, and the woman is like, I'm sorry, are you done?
SPEAKER_01Like, are you done? Because like there's a line. She's like, How much do you need?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Here, just take this. And she does this like to three people. But guy, like, stop doing that. Oh, you don't want to see me back here, do you? No! I don't want you back here. Um, but that I'm pretty sure that moment of helping those people in line not need to pay off that payday loan was better than her paying off her payday loan. Like helping those people. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like she may have legit just changed someone's life in a matter of $200. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it's Could you imagine I need $200 to pay a bill and not have to pay it back with 100% interest? Right.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's so stupid sounding, but like it actually legit might have just changed at least one of those people's lives. Like just being able to pay a bill. Because you you I you take money out to pay a bill and you end up only double.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You see Annie organizing Marion's life for her. So she used her money to pay off in obviously we're assuming she paid up her rent and she's organizing her life, and she's gonna take care of Marion. Get herself situated so she can get back on her feet again.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Beth and Dean are in the car, and you could tell she was.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think this is, isn't this where Marion realizes?
SPEAKER_00And she was like, he was like, She's like, oh yeah, she goes, Yeah, he stole my money, didn't he?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't think Annie even had to say anything, did she? She just had to look at her.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. It was like, you know, like, okay, yeah, the lady has like her little old lady racist tendencies. And I don't want to make excuses for that. But at the same time, like, you don't want to see somebody be hurt and taken advantage of by somebody who they just love. Because it's, you know, no one should have to experience that either.
SPEAKER_00So they're done with the restaurant. Beth ends up taking him to a bar. He's like, oh, this is cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. He's like, How'd you know about this? She's like, just people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And then she looks, there's the camera spans over, and who do we see? Mm-hmm. Sitting down at the end of the bar. And he has that look on his face, like, I know what you came here for. And she chased to the bathroom and leaves the door open. I wonder why. Well, she leaves it unlocked. Well, open. That's what I mean. Yeah. That's what I mean open. Unlocked. And then the best scene ever in TV history.
SPEAKER_01So you're see you're seeing, like, from her perspective. She walks into the bathroom, she closes the door, she doesn't lock it. She's like standing at the sink looking in the mirror. So she could see him walk in behind her. And I thought it was funny, like, he didn't lock the door either. But then she did. Like after.
SPEAKER_00Afterwards. Yeah. Um, I liked that scene, obviously. Well, in case anyone hasn't se in case you haven't gathered what's happened, they did the date, it was really hot and it was really like sultry. But I like the point of view was about Beth's pleasure. You focused on her face.
SPEAKER_01Her face. You, yes, but in that moment, you don't see anything. You see him walk in, and that's it. I mean, remember that you but you don't see anything, and then the next thing you know is like they're her and Dean are driving home. No, and you see like his arm, his hand up her dress, her no, not even.
SPEAKER_00Oh, then you don't know. It's because after it's the flashbacks.
SPEAKER_01Because right, they're in the car, and he's like, Hey, do you mind if I stop in the drugstore? What do you need? And and she's like, Yeah, sure, whatever. And then like the flashbacks, right? This is what she's thinking about. And sh so because that when I watched it, I was like, at first I was like, wait, does she fantasize? Was she fantasizing about that whole thing, or did it actually happen? Because since we didn't since we didn't see it in that moment, and it was only from the perspective of like her kind of detached in the car, I remember thinking, like, wait, did it is are we just like is this what she was thinking about because it happened, or because that's what she was hoping for? So that's how I know like that's how I know for sure, like how it happened. It would happen, how it happened.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I forgot I like I say it was a week ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know, I know. Um as I was and then yes, you you do see the hand around the the boobs and the big things. But to your point, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Was that a fantasy or was that actually happened? But I I like the fact they took it about her pleasure and her needs and her wants and her getting off.
SPEAKER_01And then he was just a person in the sense he was just and then especially like when you get to the end of the episode, it was even more like wait, did it actually happen?
SPEAKER_00But to be fair, it could have.
SPEAKER_01No, no, I mean you don't know. I'm gonna say either that doesn't I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Like it's still at this moment, I don't know. No, because that doesn't mean if it if it did happen, that doesn't change anything as far as he's concerned. Mm-hmm. Now I'm thinking about it. At least I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't remember.
SPEAKER_01Well, on okay, so you finish and then I'll I'll I'll go more into it. Like I don't want to, I I don't want to jump ahead too much, you know. Okay, but we don't um okay, that was the end. All right, done.
SPEAKER_00Okay, it's just joking.
SPEAKER_01So um Okay, so go ahead, go ahead. I'll I'll I won't go ahead.
SPEAKER_00Ruby and Stan, they okay. Real quick, I don't want to get to Lisa's point because this is juicy. Ruby and Stan celebrate the fact that they don't have to pay off their loans. And Stan was like, Well, how? She goes, I'll tell you tomorrow. He goes, but she's like, have your drink. Let's enjoy tonight. Tomorrow I'll tell you the truth.
SPEAKER_01Where she comes home. She was drinking alone, and he's just no fun drinking alone.
SPEAKER_00Go back into part into security for the part-time security. She's like, You don't have to do that. Yeah, I done fixed it. And he's just like, How? And she's like, I'll tell you tomorrow. I think they're like, shut up and enjoy your drink. They're at that point now in the relationship and their marriage and her criminal activities where she can tell maybe not everything, but she can definitely tell him like what's going on. She can let him in a little. I think a little man, and he's like, she's gonna tell me tomorrow. I'm not gonna like it, but fuck, I can breathe, I can sleep tonight. I'll worry about the shit tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. Like, enjoy your drink. I'll tell you tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00I love this. I think this is what a marriage and relationship is supposed to be. Like you go through the hardest times together. It's you guys against everything else. You're not fighting each other, you're fighting the problem. You do that together.
SPEAKER_01That's goals.
SPEAKER_00That's don't I don't know if you want to keep this simple. Watching marriage at first sight, I kind of just want to cry. Why? It was so sad for me. Not the show itself, but just you know, and the stupid list you had me make. It was very, very disheartening. And once again, Greggles pops his ass up again. He only wants Annie because she says no. You know that, right? Well, but he loves her eyebrows. It's the eyebrows. She goes, huh, fine. She's like, right now my eyebrows are exotic, but one day you're gonna wake up and realize they're just eyebrows. Okay. Um, but he wanted to metaphor anyone. It's just because he's she's saying no. She's something that he wants and can't have, and that's the only reason. Because when you had her, you didn't want her. Um, I I you have to kind I have to keep reminding myself, not literally, but sometimes you have to remind yourself, when you had me, you didn't want me. So why do you want me now? You don't.
SPEAKER_01I mean, could it be that you realize uh life, you know, the grass isn't greener? Like if you just order order your own fucking grass, it will be just as green.
SPEAKER_00But nine times out of ten, it's the she said no and she walked away, and she's okay without me. I that can't be true. Yeah. Adrian Turner pays a visit to Mary Pat uh because she's he's looking for Leslie. And one of her children, I can't remember because I didn't write it down, but one of the kids, I think it's the game playing kid, the oldest one, makes a very innocent but yet very incriminating comment. Yeah. Do you what did you happen to write it down? And I could kick myself because I can't.
SPEAKER_01He wants a popsicle. Yes. And she's and and she's in the kitchen and she's like with the baby, and she obviously didn't expect him. And he's like, Oh, I see you got a lot going on, and she's like, Yeah, but you know, whatever, whatever. And the kid's like, I want a popsicle, and she's like, Okay, you have to wait. Like, no, but I want a popsicle. Okay, but get in the like, where is it? It's in the freezer. And then he's like, No, it's not. You took everything out when you put daddy in there. Yes. I would have been like, Daddy is the cat. Daddy was the cat. Like, I don't know, but you know, like and then you just see the face like fuck.
SPEAKER_00Once again, that can definitely be played off. Like, I mean, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, listen, it'd be a little harder because it's not Gregg's or Nancy or Dean, it's FBI. But but you you could have made it work, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_00You could make it work. And then hello. He she's not the person that you actually think would put daddy in the freezer. And especially when she shows him what the size of the freezer is. He'd be like, oh.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, come on, like, you're like, okay, that's uh okay, whatever. Yeah. Rio makes his most important entrance of the episode of the season thus far.
SPEAKER_01He must have been. You mean not the entrance in the bathroom?
SPEAKER_00No, this is another important entrance. Because this is where this is where stakes have been claimed and lines have been drawn. So he appears at the Bowman dealership.
SPEAKER_01Well, Beth, Beth is there, and Herman.
SPEAKER_00Beth is there, Her and Dean there, and he and then all of a sudden you hear a car along goes off. A honk. The honk.
SPEAKER_01I th yo, when I watched that, I was I thought that shit was outside. It was so loud.
SPEAKER_00It was so loud. So clear. I was like, damn, this TV is really pretty damn good. He pretty much just declared, like, this is not my territory. I realized how well you did with that money. Wait, question, Lisa. She goes to the stores unit before this or right after this.
SPEAKER_01No, I think she went, she went before this. She went before this, and she realized it was. Okay. So when they were at the bar, the first when she tried to hand him the key back, he was like, Oh, what do you like? Rose? And she was like, I don't drink rose. And then he ordered her bourbon.
SPEAKER_00Right. And she's drinking bourbon that whole night, by the way.
SPEAKER_01When they were at when she was at the restaurant with Dean, and he's kind of being dismissive of her and like, oh, can I have a wine list or whatever? He he's like, Oh, let's get this wine for the table. First of all, he asked for the wine list. He didn't even look at it and then ordered a bottle. So, like, uh-huh, what the fuck was the point? And he orders a bottle of wine for the table and she's like, bourbon. So when she goes back to the storage locker, the money is gone and it's just a bottle of bourbon. Mm-hmm. So, yeah, when she went back and she tells him, like, the money is gone, he took it back, I don't know, whatever. And then that's when the honk, you hear the honk.
SPEAKER_00He was I feel like he was waiting for that moment between them before he made his presence known. He knew it was coming. He's not stupid. Very dramatic. He's very dramatic that way. And he realized how well she did with that money. And she's a genius. So she he's gonna be part of the car dealership, the car selling business now. 50-50. Well, no, not at first. Oh, well, 6040.
SPEAKER_01It it was it was more like 30, no, tw 2080 or whatever. No, it wasn't that low. It it wasn't that well, I don't know, but it was it was low. And then it was like 6040, and then he gave him lip. So he I think it was, I think it might have been like 3070 at first. Like I don't I don't think it was because it was 6040.
SPEAKER_00Dean was like 50 50 and then 4060. No, whatever. Anyway, anyway, he got it, he kept giving them lip and she has something to say, and his deal.
SPEAKER_01Dean is like, absolutely not, like, you know, just whatever. And so he he gets out of the car. Uh was like a Corvette or whatever. It was a Corvette. And he gets out of the car and he's like, Oh yeah?
SPEAKER_00Draw your iron, meet windshield.
SPEAKER_01There goes there there goes the rear view mirror. You want to keep fucking talking? There goes the the uh passenger side window. Oh, you want to keep talking? There goes the windshield. And now it's to the part, oh wait, okay, okay, okay, okay. Like, you know, what do you want? Whatever you want. Should have just said like I don't know why you thought you could say no in the first place. He shot you.
SPEAKER_00I think I mean you lost you lost every battle thereafter. You just it is right. Just say yes, motherfucker. Don't just say yes. Say yes to the CEO crime boss. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Now back to Lisa. Oh, and then he goes, and then he was like, Oh, you want to call HR? It's so funny, because that's what we keep saying. I thought he was like, I call HR. Oh, wait, it's me.
SPEAKER_00So back to your point. Okay. Because I kind of sped up so I can go back to you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay, what was my point? Oh, did it happen? Did it not happen? Right. And so then I'm like, after if that's that's the last interaction that we see, well, so whether whether it is a figment of her fantasy or not, because the the way I'm thinking of it is like, was he really in the bar? Yes. I think he was really in the bar, and I think that the more that she was like turned off by being diminished by her husband, and she's looking at him, and she's turned on by him. And then it was I think that because he doesn't treat her or he hasn't treated her as um an equal.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like the Dean has not treated her like an equal, like we all have. Right. We have to treat her like an asshole.
SPEAKER_01The Dean is diminishing her, like sh here she is busting her ass and kind of pulling his ass out of the fire, and all she wants is to be heard and to be a part of of the solution. She wants to be a partner. And Dean is like, no, no, little girl, like you don't know about anything, right? And then there's Rio sitting there talking about, yeah, you want to be the boss? Okay, let me show you. I'll teach you. Like, which is a fucking turn on. Turn on. I'm sorry, for and I'm sure that there's women out there who who don't agree, and that's fine. That's fine. For me and you, that gets my panties wet. But for for many, many women, it is a turn on to be seen as an equal. And for somebody, and not just a man, but for somebody to to extend the hand and say, I'm gonna help you up the ladder. I'm gonna show you how to come up that ladder. So then she's sitting there with her husband looking at Rio. And so it's almost like, okay, you want to fuck around with me? I'm gonna fuck this dude in the bathroom while you're sitting at the table worrying about your wine or whatever. Did it happen? I don't know. Did she go in the bathroom and get herself off? Maybe. Maybe she was thinking about him, I don't know. But then when we get to the end, and he's sitting there, and it's like he leaves the bottle of bourbon, and it's like, okay, well, did he leave it there because they had the encounter after she drank the bourbon? Is it because she ordered he ordered her bourbon when at the beginning? Maybe he knows that she likes bourbon because he's been at her house. I mean, you know, there's there's so many ways that that could have played out that he could have known that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um as we're talking, I just had a flash. Was it a flashback? Flashback. I remember what happened. Okay, but don't tell me. I'm not, but I feel better now. I just want you to know I'm at ease now. Because I know what the fuck happened. Because you know me, if I don't know something. They bothers the fuck out of me. And I look constipated.
SPEAKER_01So this this is my thought process. And then it was kind of like, you know, and I'm thinking like, so like I said, it was kind of like, well, did it happen because we didn't see it? And we're only, you know, or maybe right. Like it's it's her in the car. Maybe she just fantasized, like, damn, I was hoping that he would come in the bathroom. Or maybe he came in the bathroom and told her, listen, this is what the fuck you're gonna do now. Like, maybe he really did come in the bathroom, but then the rest didn't happen. Like, we just at that moment, we, as in me, Lisa, doesn't know. And then for him to come into the car dealership and be like, I took back the money or whatever, like so there was a lot of like, wait, but if maybe, maybe it was, you know, rice and mango. Like maybe it was just too convoluted. Like, I don't know. Um, but a bunch of people's court, you know. Right, I do know.
SPEAKER_00Um with Rio, though, they still could have had that steamy interaction. No, absolutely. And he can still say, like, oh yeah, I'm taking I'm taking your shit from you. Right, right. Nothing means nothing. Like, you really can't, there's no context clues right now.
SPEAKER_01Right. But so that that's all I mean is that, and then it just had me questioning because I'm like, it just there was nothing, nothing to say it did or didn't, to really have me like, what the fuck just happened? Like, clearly there's there's an attraction between the both of them. I mean, that's you know, that's that's easy to see. But it was just more so like, okay, so did it or didn't it? Like, whatever. That was it. Any other thoughts? I don't think so. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00I don't have any either.
SPEAKER_01I'm thoughtful. I just yeah. I just, you know, like okay, well let's see what the next episode has because obviously we'll start getting our answer, you know.
SPEAKER_00Eventually. Yeah. I mean, we're not like it's lost or anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're just like, um. Because lost is just evil.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But in a good way. Is it really? Very much so. Don't take that away from me, okay?
SPEAKER_00No, it is really good. It's a it's a good evil, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I I did enjoy the episode. And like I said, that for me, it was like leading up, it was like, okay, cool, they have the money, they're trying to make amends, they're trying to put good in the world to kind of you know, even out that karma bank, and then like I said, like leads up to like this whole interaction of you know, Beth and Dean kind of getting back together, falling apart, and then her and Rio having the interaction and her kind of taking control, and then all of a sudden it's like the money is gone, and here he comes to literally fuck shit up, and it's like, wait, what the fuck just happened? Like, you know, so that's all. Like, I just you know, I'm curious about the next episode. Um, I would like to see how it progresses, and and specifically, like, I mean, aside from the whole FBI Mary Pat thread, um, I am curious to see the Beth Dean thread and the Beth Rio thread, and then the Beth Dean Rio thread. You know, so I I know that there's a lot coming. It was just kind of like full speed and then stop. So it was a little whatever for me. But yeah, it was a good episode.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad you liked it. Mm-hmm. And the next episode is episode five. Okay. Um, I don't remember the name of it.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, I guess come back for the next episode.
SPEAKER_00We'll have to come back next week to listen to the next episode to find out what the title is.
