SPEAKER_00

Hi, and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips. Today we are talking about Good Girls Season 3, Episode 4, The Eye in Survivor. I'm Lisa, and I am sipping on some lemonade. And it's really just lemonade because yeah, I'm not feeling too good.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Lita. Yeah, it's alright.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm Agnes, and I am sipping on another fruity seltzer. Today is Blackberry. Interesting. And may I add, I'm kind of upset, you know, every so often, those stupid games that you could add for the game, you're like, fuck it, let me just play it. I'm like, oh, now I'm gonna download it. So it's a game I've played before, but I'm just re addicted to the magic sword. Like the different poke, you have like you have all these jars of magical potion.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, yes. I think I said sword. That's too. I want one of those. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Can I get a sword? I might have said that, honestly. Who knows? I possibly could have. So, Lisa, any hot takes?

SPEAKER_00

I'm just finishing up this last show and the fake cancer.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, you know what? I think one of the writers has some explaining to do with their friends and family. That's what I think.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's your only hot take? Fake cancer?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. I mean, you know, hopefully they don't address this one either, ever. Why ruin a theme?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's I am still, even from the first airing, I am still highly upset over that. Like, it just gets written and then forgotten about. Um, let me open up my Google Docs. You would think I actually know what the hell I'm doing, because I don't.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody thinks that.

SPEAKER_02

Thanks. So, did you give the title of the episode?

SPEAKER_00

Did I? The title is The Eye in Survivor.

SPEAKER_02

Did you? I don't remember. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But the but it's spelled E Y E. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Like the I. I know when I saw the title, I saw I wanted to sing Eye of the Tiger. Any no other hot takes? We could just go delve and dig and go into it. This scene opens up with Beth looking out her window at her bodyguard. And she's morning disheveled her robe. Kids are looking like and a hot mess. I'm sorry. And I think the daughter has a cape. And they ask her, are we going to school today? And she's like, huh? He goes, because we're already late. She goes, Where's Kitty? And I had a flash to South Park. Um, because he's upstairs, still sleeping. No, I thought he was pooping. Oh, pooping. Okay, I got the ings. I just thought they said sleeping. My bad. So she's kind of like a little bit disarrayed. I'd have absolutely no idea why. What could be possibly stressing her out? I don't know. So she goes outside and she goes, like, you know, I call the cops. He's like, okay. He say it like that though. But in my head. Yeah. And he goes, just see what happens when I get out. So the cops come.

SPEAKER_00

She's like, nothing, never mind. I aspire to be like as cool, calm and collected as that dude.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I want to be that. I want to be him when I grow up. Because I'm not growing up yet. So she's like, fine. I'm sorry. This whole opening scene in my head, I kind of washed it in like a tympotentrum way. Like, I call the cops. Fight. Fine.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and then the cop shows up, and Beth is like standing there in the street next to his car in her bathrobe. And the cop gives them both like the once over look. And was like, I don't remember what she says, but something like, hey, do we have a problem here? Or everything okay here? And Beth is like, I called, sorry. Everything is fine. And the cop is like, okay, cool, bye. That's not how that works here. No.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I guess, I guess maybe when the white lady calls the cop in the white lady says, never mind, I guess it's okay. I gotta say though, my experience with the Tunica Mississippi Police Department was beyond approach. Reproach, approach, whatever. Reproach. Really, really nice, guys. That being said, I just want to say thank you, Tunica Mississippi Police Department. Okay. I'm sorry, I'm going off topic. I spent the last week in bed sleeping and not talking to people. So it's nice. So Dean is now at a sporting goods store and he's looking up. And the guy goes, anything you want? Like, what can I help you with? You looking for something? He goes, I want to buy a gun. And then you pan out, you see like the walls of the weepings. He goes, okay. He goes, What's a good, you know, what do you need to use it for? Because yes, there are different reasons, different, you know. Anyway, he goes, I want to kill a guy. The guy was like, There are some things you can't and can't say when buying a gun. This is the only thing you cannot say.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, Yeah, you just said the only thing you can't say.

SPEAKER_02

The only thing. He's like, What about a moose? He goes, a moose. He goes, he goes, I want to kill a moose. That's hitting on my wife and giving us problems. So this things legit to the guy. So he starts filling out the question, you know, fill out the form, asking the questions. And he goes, okay, give us a second week. We have your gun. He goes, he goes, Well, certain gun, this type of gun, you have to wait. He goes, What can I walk out with today? And scene.

SPEAKER_00

And I feel like that right there should be the other thing you can't say. Like when you're going into a gun store and your goal is to walk out with a gun on that day, that's impulse and that's bad. That's how you get into trouble. Not in states like where I live. Well, it doesn't matter. I'm not talking about the legality of it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying, no, no, no. It's that that I'm just trying to agree with you. That does not cross their frame of mind.

SPEAKER_00

Right. I'm not always argumentative. No, no. No, no, no. I I acknowledge that different states have different laws. No, it's not even about that. But like the frame of mind. Common sense. In that case, sure. Take this one. Common sense should tell you that when somebody's like, hey, I need it right now, it's not because there's a deer that they really want to go shoot. I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_02

Well, here it might be. Well, maybe 20% chance that they may be actually going out hunting after the gun.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, if you're going out, if you're that much of an avid hunter, you probably have 14 different kinds of guns in your city. They do. It's you know what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_02

It's so funny. I'm just like, hey, we're going hunting, and my 14-year-old kid doesn't have his brand new shotgun. That happens. It's mind fuck. Let me tell you, Lisa. I was just like.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, people around here hunt. I hear the gunshots in the morning. It's weird to hear them on schedule and not just sporadically in your head. Yeah, right. That's I think that's more weird.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, but no, they like there, it's still it's an it's still an absence, but an excuse absence during the fall. My kids miss school for hunting season.

SPEAKER_00

So even in school today, I gotta kill stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Even in the urban area that I live in, yes, this is this is actually urban. I forget that it's urban. It's still in the sew system. I was like, interesting, great. And then I had moose and elk and deer. I'm like, ooh. Ruby and Annie are now looking out of Beth's window at the bodyguard. I'm gonna come Kevin Costner now. And Beth is just laid out on the couch, like she's given up. That's how I was all last week. I was like, I can't. It's like mental exhaustion. Mental, emotional. She was just done. So Annie goes in her typical Annie fashion. Okay, this is what we're gonna do. We're gonna go to Canada and buy a baby and get a baby. Yeah. Ruby goes, get a baby. She's like, Yeah, with the currency exchange, we're gonna steal. And I like a solid plan. Ruby goes, you would have buy a baby. You can't buy a baby. She goes, I don't want my sister to die.

SPEAKER_00

But again, she says, she's like, I don't know what they do up there. Like they get counterfeit money. They make like all just buy a counterfeit baby with your counterfeit money. Right. Solid plan. I think it is solid. If the yachts and the jets could work, why can't buying a Canadian baby? I co-sign that. Um, so they're talking. Do their heads flap like in South Park?

SPEAKER_02

I was thinking more like baby alive vibe. And I love the fact that when I was going to say that, my camera zoomed in to me like yeah, that's that was what in my head I was picturing. Like AI baby alive. Oh, the uh what's that the baby, the dancer baby? Uh I don't know. The chumpa wamba baby? Sure. Oh my god, Lisa. If I know this pop culture, you should definitely know that. It's like an AI before AI was a big thing. Oh, is that like the Allie McBeal thing? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I don't know how you buy that, but you know what? Fine, Lisa. You can buy a hologram. It's your baby, but you can't touch it. Like Jim. And Tupac.

unknown

Tupac.

SPEAKER_02

Michael Jackson. Okay. Okay. Focus. I'm talking to the wrong two people asking them to focus. Two people? You and me. Oh. You and I. Me and you. You and I. Us. Somebody behind me. You're not getting my witty repertoire because you're all hopped up on code medicine.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh. Sorry. I barely have two brain cells to rub together today. And I never have any. So what's your point?

SPEAKER_02

You're still better than me. Okay. So, of course, after this whole thing, we're gonna figure it out, they turn around to look at Beth and she's gone. She's just she's clocked out, she's gone. She took she made a run for it. Before they do that, they're looking out the window because they're asking, like, how did he get something to drink? How does it no, how does he go to the bathroom? Mrs. Karpinski.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the neighbor lady.

SPEAKER_02

So they go after they do the whole baby thing, they're looking out. She goes, She's bringing him snacks. And he goes, snacks on snacks. Mrs. Karpinski. She's like, she wants him to use her bathroom. And that's when they turn around and she's gone. Ruby's daughter, she comes home. Ruby's daughter is mopping the floor. And she goes, What house did I just walk into? So apparently. I wouldn't go the same way. If I find you my house mopping, I'm like, why you're at it? First of all, I don't care how you got in, but while you're at it. So apparently she's in trouble because there's a pen missing from the parents of the girl that she tutors. And it's like this high-end pen, like you know, platinum and cardinal. Fancy pants. And Ruby's like, well, how do you know? How do you know she did it? She goes, Well, to the criminal family, like, you know. So Stan's pissed. Because he's like, first my wife, now my daughter. What's what's next? Now we see Beth in bed with.

SPEAKER_00

Well, wait a minute. I mean, you gotta see from Stan's perspective, right? I'm not mad at him. You go to the guy who wanted to become a police officer to do good, right? To protect for like admiral reasons, admirable reasons. And not only now is his wife a criminal, but now his daughter, and he's just like Stan's body language the fuck out of the way.

SPEAKER_02

He was really saying, fuck your couch.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I don't give a fuck. I mean, he was Beth, except Beth was giving up on her couch and he was giving up on his.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not mad at it, all of it. But you know what? The fact that he's still frustrated at his family, he still loves his family. He still loves his wife. He's like, we're gonna get through it. This is the down. Yeah, you don't feel that way if you don't care. Right. Beth is laid in bed, middle of the night, eyes wide shut.

SPEAKER_01

Have you seen that movie Eyes Wide Shut? Long time ago. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So she goes out too much. She gets stressed. Apparently, she gets stressed. She goes to her bodyguard and she goes, I need a ride. I was just like, eh. So she meets up with her baby daddy. I'm sorry, I had to say that.

SPEAKER_00

And her fake baby daddy. Her fake baby daddy.

SPEAKER_01

I want a baby baby daddy.

SPEAKER_00

What is with this show and all the fake stuff? Fake money, fake baby daddy, fake cancer. Fake, fake, fake everything. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, fake on fake on fake. But Rio's definitely a real gangster. I don't know why I said that. Um Lisa's like, I'm gonna edit out this whole episode where she's talking.

SPEAKER_00

Um be about four words left in.

SPEAKER_02

So she tells Rio, I lost it. And he looks really kind of upset. Like, kind of like, I mean, he's not crying and throwing things, but it kind of hit him. He said, How? She goes, Does it make a difference? Does it matter? He was like, I guess not. She was like, What's next? He goes, Nothing good. It's something about the way he just says shit. You know, it's like, here, take my panties. It's fine. It's fine, it's fine, everything's fine. And they have they come up with a little agreement that she pays him $100,000, he'll let her live. That's it. I think she got off with she got off on it with the steal with that one. So back at Bets' house, the ladies are talking about the pros and cons of how they know. Well, how are they going to get the money and make that much money and how many singles is gonna cost it's gonna take to make that much money, and they're weighing the pros and the cons and all that, you know, business shit. And here comes Stan with the shotgun over his shoulder, like, hey ladies, and just walks. What did I say, Sean? You said Stan. I said Stan. Okay, sorry, Stan. Here comes Dean. There is not even a Sean in this series. I know I don't know what's wrong with me. With the sh an in walking Dean with a shotgun over his shoulder, ladies, ladies, and keeps walking, and they're all looking like Elder Fudd.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, exactly. And now they are all just like, what is happening here?

SPEAKER_02

Like this bizarro world. This is definitely bizarre world. So she goes there, she's like, What is this? He goes, Floss. We're out of floss. She goes, What's going on? What's happening? What's this? What's happening? He goes, he's talking about like no strip, like breed strips and everything. She's like, the gun. He's talking about everything but the shotgun. And she's like, I don't want a gun in the house. He goes, Well, keep it somewhere else. I'll hide it. He goes, Kenny finds all his toys every Christmas. He goes, That's because you hide them.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and also, listen, I'm not a big proponent of uh having a gun in the house where you have your kids. However, I will say proponent.

SPEAKER_02

Huh? You said opponent. You're saying you're not an opponent. Okay, never mind.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe it's sound, maybe because uh you need boostrips, yeah. Um but in fairness, the kid finds his presence because he's looking for them. He knows there's presence to find. Like, if you're gonna go look for something, you're gonna find it. So if you don't know to look for something, like I would never find the million dollars that's hidden in my house because I know it's not here and I wouldn't never start looking for it. Well, how do you know if you don't look for it? Right. Well, why would there be a million dollars in this house? Right. So with your luck, can you imagine? Oh my god. Sitting on it. You know what I did find? The other day, my daughter leaves the house to go to work, and she sends me a picture, and there's a dead mouse like in front of the steps, and it's like teeny tiny little baby, and it I guess it just like stopped and died, and nobody wanted to get rid of it. And Alex is like, I don't know, some other animal will come and get it. So, what happened with the mouse? I don't know, but it's not there anymore. Okay, I don't know what happened. I didn't, I didn't I didn't move it.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe a bird got it.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe there, I mean there's hawks, there's foxes and deer and raccoons and oh my, yes. So I don't know what kind of animal came and got it, and obviously stray cats, so something got it. Hopefully.

SPEAKER_02

So Annie has her appointment with her child psychiatrist, and for some reason that's not that sounds pretty normal for Annie. Like, I can that makes sense, and she I think she made a record of putting together puzzles.

SPEAKER_00

Woohoo! Yeah, yeah. She thinks she made a record. But I mean it was like one of those puzzles with the wooden cutout shapes of the shapes of the states, and it took her almost 10 minutes, and he's like, Yeah, not bad for preschooler.

SPEAKER_02

I'm offended. Okay, I will be proud of myself if I did it in 10 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

I would be proud of myself if I did it in under two minutes. If I can't do that puzzle in two minutes or less, I mean, how many Americans actually can do that?

SPEAKER_02

Let's be honest.

SPEAKER_00

But it's a it's a wooden puzzle with big wooden shapes.

SPEAKER_02

Like you don't even have to know, you just have to fit them. How have you was the last time you checked on the education that's true?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So if a 10-year-old couldn't do it, I'd understand. But somebody who's more closer to our age should be able to do it.

SPEAKER_02

Get out of the city that we grew up in and look at the rest of the country and reassess that thought. Are you would you be surprised? She's like, no. She's like, You're right. She was like, Yes, we're in trouble. Okay. This is where we're at. So after the puzzle, he's like, I think we need to talk about things. And she goes, Well, my sister's dealing with something life-threatening, and she had no intentions of doing this, and so it's not even Annie's fault. He took it and ran with it. Yeah, but the big C.

SPEAKER_00

She's like, hmm. Um because she's like, How do you talk about something without talking about it? And and he says, Well, you just start. So she starts talking about how she's worried for her sister. Um, and it's like like threatening.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Only part I remember for the home scene.

SPEAKER_00

Right. And and that's what he's like, ah, the big C. And she's just like, Yeah, that's the she has her Tommy Flanagan moment, and she's like, Yeah, that's

SPEAKER_02

Take it and she goes, and it's really, really rare. Like, she didn't really want to do this. It's it's super duper absolutely rare. And I don't remember how the whole I one came. I don't know if he yeah, so um does she mention I? And then he's like, Yeah, my mother died. That's how my mother died, and she's like, Oh fuck, man. I think she was picking a random body spot.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, because she's like on the breast, or the right, and then she's like, I uh like I think she was trying to start a sentence, okay, or something like that, and and use the word I as in like the letter I got it, yeah. And I think that then he's like, Oh, eye cancer, or may or maybe she said it, but one of them said it and she acknowledges and he's like so much, that's why my mother died.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she's like, if I never say that word again, like she has never heard that before, and he goes on to a whole story about how he's gonna take his mother to on a trip to see the canyon, and they're gonna stay at on like on the valley, and then he got a cat, and she was having problems, so he pushed the trip back a week, and then the cat wouldn't let him sleep sleep, like the cat was having problems sleeping, and so he's cat in the bathroom.

SPEAKER_00

Don't cancel the trip on your mom.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, he said the cat was having problems sleeping and justing, and so he's pushed it back a week, and then the night before the plane left, she lost complete vision, and he goes, But she said it smells amazing, whatever. And so she's obviously feeling more and more like shit. Um she's like, Yeah, I gotta go. I'm gonna get a little Timmy. I don't know what the name of the kid was, but Timmy fits in the sister in the scenario.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, and he gives her the book, and the book is called The Eye in Survivor, and that I I guess that's where we get the name of the title. And he's like, Yeah, this book helped me. So he gives it to her to read, and it's a decent sized book, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It almost looks like a textbook, but he gives her a hug, and that's just a regular hug, a two-armed hug.

SPEAKER_01

Lisa, does that mean something?

SPEAKER_02

Because if that was the case, I would have been married six, seven times, a hundred times over if that was the case.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like it's not necessarily the two arms, but the body language in the waist. Ah. If you know, if you notice when people hug each other, they pull this part of their body in, the top half, right? But it's when they let their middle body come in, also, that it's like, oh, okay, so we're friendly. Because those parts don't touch unless you're friendly. So it's funny.

SPEAKER_02

How many times I give a lot of like top hugs, but they always lean in for the whole full body hug. I'm like, yeah, but but both I'm like, but it's funny you mentioned that because I'm all like, okay, because that's enough.

SPEAKER_00

They don't hug like this. Unless they're unless they're super comfortable or want to be super comfortable. You usually keep it in the top half of your body.

SPEAKER_02

Just an observation. I co-sign that. So now the the ladies at their sports bar and they're doing the math and how many singles and who's um so Annie is okay. This kind of bothers me too, but Annie's telling Beth, like, you know, you don't have to put in the two zeros. You don't have to put the dot zero zero in because they're just they're adding up how many singles they can get. She goes, I just like to see the full number. No, it's so funny because I use the adding machine and I have it set so that it automatically does the two the two places after the decimal, so I don't have to put the decimal. I get the whole, you don't have like if I don't have to put in an extra number, I'm not going to. I like to make my life a lot easier. I'm team Annie for this one. Ruby excuses herself from the calculator conversation and she goes to the bathroom. Women's bathroom is busy. Guy comes out the men's bathroom, and she's just like, she braces herself before she even opens that door. And then once she opens the door, she had to double brace herself because we already know how the men's bathroom is gonna be.

SPEAKER_00

In fairness, the men's bathroom is usually cleaner than the women's bathroom. Okay, you know why?

SPEAKER_02

It's because we have to do a lot of squatting when we men don't give a fuck, they're just still the shit. Like, we have to squat to do a lot of things, and God forbid we have to do number two. Like, at the like, okay, it happened to me once where I went to go pee, and then as I'm peeing, I was like, oh fuck, it just came out, and I'm squatting, so it's just like oh fuck, and I have to send my mess. I'm in there forever cleaning up my mess. I had wipes in my purse, thank God. But we have to do a lot of that shit, pee. Sometimes crap, you gotta take a shit, sometimes do with your periods while squatting and bending over. And if you think about it, you're squatting, you're bending over, shit. It's it's just the angle. That has that being said.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, but like it takes 10 seconds to just like give the seat a wipe after you're done.

SPEAKER_02

I was talking about either by accident, it took me a couple of minutes and I and I got lucky because I had wipes with me. It was like two came out as I was pissing. I was like, fuck. Yeah, so it was a little embarrassing. It was a lot of right.

SPEAKER_00

But if if everyone who just uses the toilet takes another two, oh, yeah, the clean bath yourself, yeah. Literally just I mean, I'm I'm still not saying like the next person has to sit on it, but at least it doesn't look as repulsive.

SPEAKER_02

As bad. So she's in there in the bathroom, having second thoughts about her life choices at this point in life. And then also she looks up and her light, her eyes light up. You're like, what the fuck? And then you see her the back of her walking with the jersey on, and she goes, We gotta go. Oh, and the girls are still talking. She's like, We have to leave. And he goes, Did you change clothes? She's like, We have to go. And then Beth's like, What's what are you wearing? She goes, It's a I didn't catch the name, some hockey player.

SPEAKER_00

Gordy Gordon Howe or something like that. Whatever. She goes, It's a How Down jersey.

SPEAKER_02

And Beth was just like, Oh, we have to go. Apparently, Beth, no, they're about to book it out. And as they're walking out, there was a good play. The waitress's tray of food gets knocked into the back of Ruby. I think there were wings. Maybe I'm just a fat ass, but in my head, there were wings. So it's a big red stain on the back of that shirt. So they go back to the house, and um, Beth does her mommy magic. What does she use? Peroxide, lemon juice, and baking soda? Some shit like that, yeah. And they're like, what now? She's like, we just wait. Nothing else you can do but wait. And Beth was discussing like all the things that went to the going on to that bathroom. She's like, and they have volcano burgers on that menu. And they're like, oh my god. And then that plunger has seen shit, and I just literally and figuratively. When Beth, no, when Ruby comes home, Stan is rummaging through their daughter's stuff looking for the she goes, Well, how do you know what it looks like? He goes, He sent me four, he sent me four different angles of the damn thing. Ruby's like, she's a good kid. She's a straight A student, she helps the neighbors, she's all these things. And Stan has rebuttal. She goes, She's a straight A student. He goes, That's me, she's smart enough not to get caught. She's a good kid. It's just like, you're a good person too. Like, and look at you. So she's like, she's not me. And he's just like, if you would excuse me, I want to continue rummaging. I want to do a uh, what is it called? A cell check. Like, he's doing a cell check. Annie goes to return the book to her psych her child psychiatrist. I really have to keep saying this because I it it I can't say it often enough. She returns the book in any in any fashion, makes it kind of uncomfortable. And she brings up the whole, you know, hug. He's like, Yeah, I hugged you. He goes, It was a two-arm hug. He was like, I have two arms. Like, I just feel like he's just so and he's like, Yeah, I don't think we should do see this anymore. Like, she's not gonna see him anymore. And she's just making it weird, and he goes, and they're about to go to the elevator together. And after all of this, he's like, you know what? I'm going back to my office. I'm gonna count to 60. You just go ahead and go. The next scene is them at the the ladies at the pawn shop trying to say.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and then in that scene, yeah, when she comes, like she comes with the excuse, oh, I just came to give the book back, I read it. And he was like, the whole thing, and she's like, Yeah, it's a real page turner, page turner. But you know that she didn't because the thing is a textbook. I mean, you know, it's it's as big as so, like, yeah, that that that's why that was funny to me.

SPEAKER_02

Page turner. Page turner, every time you say something, but at least it was a real page turner. Agnes, did you see that TV show? It was a real page turner. Oh I'm sorry. I'm not sorry. So they're at the pawn shop, and the guy goes, This little red here, little red, he goes, she goes, Oh, I think that's blood, which if if it was would be actually make the shirt worth more, right? So they're chalking it up. He's like, They it's made in whatever it was, it's two years old. And then Ruby looks to her left and she sees the fucking pen. And she grills him, like, who who sold this? Who's here with this pen? La da da da. He goes, was it this little girl? And you don't get an answer in that scene. So you see Ruby at home with a plate full of chocolate chip cookies, and her daughter comes home. She goes, you know, we found the pen. And the girl's like, Oh, that's good. She says, you know, because all this drama, here, I made you some cookies, have a cookie, and she goes and she eats the cookie. Ruby was like, I don't believe you just ate that fucking cookie, knowing what you did. Like, the fuck? Yeah, like there's no remorse, no guilt, no nothing. She goes like, Where's the money? She's like, I don't have it. Where's the money? She goes, same place you keep your money.

SPEAKER_00

She's like, Well, and this is when when Ruby walks, actually, when Sarah walks in, she's startled by Ruby's presence, and she's like, Jesus. And Ruby's like language. Yes. And then after Ruby calls her out for enjoying the cookie, she's like, Jesus. And so I love the the way they put the two characters kind of like uh juxtaposition. Juxupposition, because then it's like Sarah gives it right back when she's like, Well, I put it where you put yours. Like, I don't know how you make your money, but but it's not doing nails, and so it's a lot of the quick back and forth with them. Yeah, I thought that was that was a really good play.

SPEAKER_02

So you have Annie and Beth waiting at the stationary store waiting for Ruby, and they're just being sisters, and she goes, Do you talk about like what do you talk about? You talk about me? She goes, I'm not even sure I would go back to him. Beth's like, you definitely talk about me, and then just being sisters, and Ruby comes in, and this is the beginning of the marathon of counterfeit money making. You see the whole process, they're going back and making the money. The their guy picks up the money, gives off the throws. Throws it every single time. Every single time. The duffel bag, just doves, just throws it. And you go into the process. And then the cleaner on one of his runs, you find he gets waylaid by you wanna guess who? Is it gang friend? It's gang friend. I say now gang fuck buddy.

SPEAKER_01

Are they gonna be I don't know? I mean, they fucked, they're not friends, but I don't know. Gang one night stand?

SPEAKER_02

I guess. Okay, gang friends, fine. Um gang future, possible like theoretical future baby daddy. Um we're not surprised by this, and he's very logical. He's like, you know, you guys are if you're gonna use my guys to clean your money, I need to know who you are. I need to know your bosses, because if we're gonna be doing business, I need to know everybody. Dude was like, shh, bet, like he has no qualms. That's the scariest part about Rio, because he's just really calm and logical. He's like and reasonable. And you're like, I'm so gonna die right now. But the way he does it, you know, it's like there was no chance in hell that I can get out of this. I'm gonna die. You know what I mean? Because he's so calm and logical and reasonable. So Stan, the next thing is Stan coming home and he kisses his daughter. He's no longer mad. And his daughter, her name is Sarah. I keep forgetting her name. Sarah goes, you didn't tell him? She's like, no, because that's just gonna upset him. She goes, Does this mean I'm grounded? She's like, Oh no, that's for kids. You're a criminal. You owe me. I was just like, oh you know it's gonna be worse. Yes. Like, you wanna be missing pants? Bet. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, watch how it's done. You know what I mean? Like, these kids think they're smart. Then you have some Annie psychiatrist comes to the house, and he's pretty much like, hey, you missed two appointments, and if you don't show up, I'm gonna have to like fill up your spot, and it gets kind of weird what's going on, and then Dr. Is his name Josh? I think so. Because I like to make up names for people, but he's Josh. If it's not, it is now. Well, he's Dr. Cohen for sure. Dr. Josh Cohen, that fits. Then that's his name, whether it is or not. And she kind of schools her about her her issues, like about love and repressing and push back and all that other shit. And she goes, I'm not paying you for that. And so she goes, you know what? I'm going back into my power, my apartment, and we're counting 50. So Dean and Beth are now having a nice little conversation. They really've reached a solid point in their relationship at this point so far, based on what has transpired up to now. They're pretty solid-ish. They're and they're they're cordial. Yeah. Um, Dean tells her, you know, the ammo's in the office, the guns in the garage. She goes, How are we gonna even get to it? He goes, I just feel better knowing it's here. And she's like, Okay, I guess she gets that. And he gives her a very passionate kiss before I assume he goes off to work. I was just like, and it was just and it was it wasn't like a kiss where I want something from you, kiss. It's it was a good kiss. It was a kiss that I was like, yeah, yeah, I like that. Back this at work, and Rio shows up and she's like, Well, I don't have all your money yet. He's like, No, that's all right. I didn't know who made this. He throws out the money, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because he comes in and he's like, Oh, I I'm here for a custom printing order. Yeah, yeah, and then that's when he lets her in on the fact that he knows that she's been counterfeiting, and he's yeah, and he just tells her, all right, show me. And he makes her run through the whole process so he can see how she does it. And then afterwards, she's like, What do you think? And he's like, I think I need you alive. Any other hot takes, any comments, questions, concerns? No, I do not have any. How about you? None that's gonna do it for this episode. Thank you for struggling through with my sick b voice.
