Hi, and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Tips. Today we're talking about Good Girls Season 3, Episode 7. Vegas Baby. I'm Lisa. Sorry. I'm Lisa. Oh god. I didn't go a lot of sleep last night.
SPEAKER_01The way you said Vegas baby, that's how I heard it when I read the title. Like that's the only way to hear it. It's just the tone, everything. The voice. Maybe because I heard your voice when I said when I read it. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02But it was well, I think also because thanks to Joey on Friends, that's the way you hear it. And then that's what it is. Even when we did reunion, we did that. So maybe that's what it is. Yeah. It's one of those, it's one of those things that now just is the lexicon thanks to a television show. Which ooh, ooh, segue is why we're gonna be introducing our new series. She's looking at me like, the fuck? No, I was just waiting for it. Like, yeah. I'm Lisa and I'm sipping on coffee. Because I'm not even a person yet. That's that's fair.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Agnes, and I'm sipping on my iced matcha latte with my own homemade code foam. Because you know, I'm full and I have to do it myself. I know how much do we love matcha? Yeah, my favorite.
SPEAKER_02Woohoo. So, any hot takes? Uh, was I the only asshole waiting for them to get to Vegas?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02The whole episode was called Vegas, baby, and they never were went to Vegas.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, they had one episode, Life is a beach, and they never went to the beach. A jus, and you never said you never had like a roast beef sandwich with a jus sauce.
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, but the bird was au jus, it was about the bird. No, but I'm just saying you don't like the title, doesn't it?
SPEAKER_01It's not literal.
SPEAKER_02It's never life is a beach. It was because Rio was looking at the wannabe corona never went to a beach.
SPEAKER_01I know, but it's not literal. At least he saw a picture of it. They talked about Vegas, they did talk about it. Okay, then. So yeah, she wasn't on the asshole expecting them to go to Vegas.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't think so. But okay, it was like it was like an afterthought. It was like, oh, so and so's going to Vegas. Okay. Yeah, it was like in the context of Dean feeling like inferior in his job, you know? And then when they say it at the end, it's like one sentence. Like, I don't know. I just I was expecting to watch an episode where the girls ended up in Vegas and Hijinx ensued in Las Vegas.
SPEAKER_01When in the entire series thus far has the title been literal.
SPEAKER_02No, or or they actually did like their casino night, and it was like Vegas, baby. I don't know. I just wasn't expecting this. You know what? I cannot be the only person whose mind was you are the only person.
SPEAKER_01It is totally only Lisa, and you were the only person. Definitely don't think so. I'm going to make yes, that is where I stand. I'm going to fine. Whatever. Listen, you're sleep. You're not a person.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know, but I wasn't when I watched it.
SPEAKER_01No, but no, but but right now I'm taking advantage of the fact that you're not a person today because it's fun.
SPEAKER_02All right, that's fine.
SPEAKER_01Because nine times out of ten, I'm not a person. That's true. So like me almost killing myself in my chair and getting ready to log on.
SPEAKER_02The only thing that I didn't get to see it.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02Maybe next time.
SPEAKER_01I will have tons of you watching me go act do something stupid. In our 30 plus years, you try to tell me you've never seen me do anything stupid? Come on.
SPEAKER_02I mean. Little things. No big things.
SPEAKER_01Nothing like so. We saw last week. Um, Beth is giving 10% off the top and Rio's cash. And we already decided that's probably not the best idea. But at the same time, I'm not mad at it because I kind of get it. Because if you're gonna be a badass entrepreneur, illegal entrepreneur, then this is what you do, you know. So it goes kind of hand in hand.
SPEAKER_02Maybe, maybe Vegas baby was like, you're supposed to interpret as all the gambling because Beth did a lot of gambling with her life in this episode.
SPEAKER_01So fucking lutely. So maybe that's what it was. So in that case, it was quite literal.
SPEAKER_02You know, maybe.
SPEAKER_01I mean, but you know, like I said, if she wants to be a badass illegal entrepreneur, you gotta, you know, you gotta take some risk. I'm pretty sure that at Real's early days he took the same risk. He's was probably better at it, thus, this is where he's at now. But you know, you gotta take some risk. Um, seriously, Ruby is not here for this because, you know, being killed by gangster guy, gangster friend, is that what they're calling him? Oh, we used to call him Gang Frank, right? But Beth had a good point. She said he stole from us first. Fair is fair. I'm sorry. Fair is fair in the world of illegal activities. He is a little bit scarier than Beth is, but you know, just a tad bit. But hey, when we check in with Max, I just got his name, and I had I was like, oh my god, this is Lisa with the whole red stream, red string, life is beautiful. And then there was a thing with a plane crash. I'm like, is Lisa here? Because with the whole lost thing just came flooding back into my head.
SPEAKER_02Did I blink and miss that scene? What the hell? He's looking at a board with all this stuff on it and it's registering. Okay, yeah. I was like, I was thinking of the scene when they were in the diner, and I'm like, I don't remember any of them talking.
SPEAKER_01Okay, diner happened after that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm back on the same page.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Woohoo! Flip, flip, flip. So there was one posted that said plane crash. I'm like, okay, so I feel like loss is invading every aspect of our lives. It sure does. And I was like, how does the plane crash? I don't know. Um, and smacked in the middle is Mrs. Burden.
SPEAKER_02Oh, right. Well, yeah, every and the bird is on there, yeah, and everything goes back to her.
SPEAKER_01But do you remember during the early stages of the of Lost? And I kept likening, well, we kept likening, we both kept liking you to the whole red string theory and this. And I was like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02I still never received my board. Nobody ever sent me a board and some red string. Thank you, you guys. We're not well also you don't have my address, so it might be hard to send it. But but but but that's besides the point. I'm glad every all our listeners had the common sense not to just email sassy sass.n.sips at gmail.com and and send some Michael's gift card in there or something. Amazon. Well, we're done with law, so we don't need it anymore. It's I know, but I could I could use it for everything.
SPEAKER_01I could redstring everything. She can't, so please don't do this. Don't do it to me.
SPEAKER_02Look, I got a nice wall right back here.
SPEAKER_01If you stop red stringing our TV shows, I quit. No, you won't. You watch it. You so will not.
SPEAKER_02You so will not. Watch. Okay, watch. I was like, that's it, I'm done. Next episode is gonna be some fucking red string upon this wall. Matter of fact, let me put it in my butt in my cart right now.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I am literally meaning if you were to red string and break down everything, I would quit. I'm already thinking a little loopy now. I'm like, okay, Lisa, it's a TV show. You know what? You'd love it. Stop playing. I'm worried about your sanity.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, my this, this, it's like the most fabulous mental exercise, you know, solving puzzles and like connecting dots. I I know I am psycho. Okay, so like, do you want to know what I did? And this is for maths. Oh okay, you're gonna you're gonna laugh, right?
SPEAKER_01Um does she do a Pinterest board? What?
SPEAKER_02No, I think you said picture, and I was like, ooh, how'd you know? Okay, so they you know how sometimes they do like an exterior shot of the apartment?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02So I snapped a picture. And I was like, let me find their apartments. And I wanted to see if like, so I could find one because it was very easy because of the obstacle course. I don't want to give too much away because the way the chair was. I was like, ooh, I know whose apartment that is. But then I was trying to figure out like whose apartment was like, if the other apartments were like above it, below it, because they're all the same layout. So I was like, they might just be in the same spot of the building, but on different floors because you know, then the apartments might have the same footprints in that it's just my brain wants to find you know, matches and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, that's the end of our episode. Thank you for joining the psych ward.
SPEAKER_02Listen, you know what? You don't have to like it. I like it. I didn't ask anybody to do it with me. These are things that I do and I entertain myself, and you know why? You know why? Because that's what Gen X does. Okay, we don't we we we think about stupid shit and we entertain ourselves with it, and that's it.
SPEAKER_01And then the other flip side is that it was not that important. We don't pay no fucking mind to, we keep it moving. I know, but it's like a game to me. You are so fucking cute. I don't know what I'm gonna do with you. I'm fucking adorable. You're a fucking unicorn, and you're and your husband gets to rise you. That was the best line ever, Lisa. And if I could fit that in in every episode, I totally will. Now that is something to add to every episode. Okay, um, yeah. Children will love that. You said it first. I did say it. Once. It was amazing. Who told who told you to have such an iconic line like that? That is your fault for being iconic, and iconic things have to be, you know, replayed and thrown out there.
SPEAKER_02Well, I don't know. Just go listen to the episode again. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So I am for transparency's sake, I'm letting everyone know that I did my notes like after the fact. I never went back and watched it again. So some things may not be in order. I might have forgotten some things. So just go with it. You love it, it's fine. Okay, it's all fine. We're gonna freestyle this. Stan had to, like I said, this is currently out of line, but he had to work some extra shifts or do some extra work because the ladies had a private party and then he had to go to a shift at the strip club. So that happened at the strip club. What is the stripper's name again?
SPEAKER_02I can't remember her stripper name. I know her name is Diane, but I can't remember her stripper name. Crystal. I have it here, duh. Oh, okay. That sounds good.
SPEAKER_01She goes, Oh, because they were playing uh what cards and it looked like mahjong. Mahjong, that's what it was. Thank you. Yeah, and they whipped his ass. It was amazing.
SPEAKER_02I know, and then he was like, Oh, it's this, and they were like, Oh no, we play by whatever verse. Yeah, like a different um, I guess, version or whatever. And so yeah, they whipped his ass. And then I was like, and I'm thinking, like, I know how to play on my phone. I like Mahjong, but I I don't think I could play. There's some games like you could play on your phone because you know, but then like I don't know, that's one game that kind of intimidates me in real life. And I love like watching it, and you just hear the tiles clacking, and it's like so intense. It's like watching Puerto Ricans play dominoes, you know, and you gotta like tread lightly because you don't want to get caught up in the middle of like kaku. That mahjon is the same shit. And I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna sit this one out, I'm gonna watch. But I do like to play on my phone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, crystal goes, oh right, I gotta split up the money from the party. And she hands Stan a water cup, water of cash, and he's like, Okay, he's already a little suspicious of it. Later on in the episode, I'm gonna just do all the scenes together. Yeah, that's fine. She sees he sees her arguing with this guy, and apparently, allegedly, allegedly. She steals from his house, and she goes, Yeah, go ahead and call the cops. And I'm gonna give them a full detailed um statement. I'll make sure that they share with your wife about what happened at that party.
SPEAKER_02So anyway, Stan was like somebody saw that movie with JLo. Right.
SPEAKER_01So Stan was like, and then she takes Stan's cup and his thermos and throws it at the car as he's driving off. She goes, That was my soup. She goes, Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. And he was like, What kind of illegal shit did you give me into? Stan cannot get away from women doing illegal shit. Um poor guy. How much of that take was illegal? She goes, All of it. And she goes, like, duh. She goes, Well, we have two more parties next weekend. Let me know if you're in. He starts like, Motherfucker. Uh-huh. It's hard.
SPEAKER_02It's hard to look at all that cash and be like, nah, I don't want it.
SPEAKER_01And as we see, he had a change of heart. Not really a change of heart, but he goes, Okay, this is what you're gonna do. The first party, you're gonna go in straight, give them the give them like the time of their lives. The second time you have a party with these same guys, you're gonna steal while you're at the first party, I'll case the joint. And the second party, you spill one item, one high-end item, and we fence that and call it a fucking day. He goes, 'Cause these rich people, if they lose one thing's missing, just think they lost it, they misplaced it. Yeah. So he has learned a little bit from his wife. And I think he's kind of like mad at himself and maybe resentful that he's even in this position. It's a whole bunch of things going on with him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm sure that there's a lot of guilt, also. Like you just gave, you had steadily been giving her all this guilt about you are the criminal element, you're the mastermind of the family, blah blah blah, blah, blah, blah. And even though he has still been a sense of support for her, you know he doesn't approve, which is why the whole egg roll came into play. And so then for him to be like, uh blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah criminal, criminal, criminal. Hey, I'm gonna do some criminal activity, like yes, a little hypocritical.
SPEAKER_01And I think he and I think it also goes to the point where it's protective because he's like, okay, if they're going to do this regardless, so just make sure that they do it in a way that they don't get killed. That's one. So he I kind of feel bad for him, but you know, right, he's also in a tough spot. It is what it is what it is. Beth at one point and Dean, he tells her about the bird and what happened at the at the veterinary's office. Veterinary, veterinary, veterinary, anyway, um veterinary that what she just said at the bird doctor. At the bird doctor. She's and then she realized that okay, I'm caught. Meanwhile, back at the farm, you can definitely could have gotten away with that, but I don't know. I know it was so easy to learn. But we don't know as far as when between the bird went missing and the girl getting killed. It was it was all within like I think four to 48 hours. We don't know if Max even knew that the bird would miss. We don't know the details, but it could they could have got out of it. Anyway, so Beth and the girls meet up with Max to clear things up, and he has a gun. In my head, I still think it's one of those toy guns that are like house. No sports water, yes, that are neon colors, but that's just in my head. So they tell him everything that happens, and he's like, Okay, Mike, he's like, I want him dead. She's like, Yeah, who's gonna do that? He goes, he's like, My cousin is a former Navy SEAL, and he can do $30,000. And she's like, Okay, good. He goes, Okay, so when are you gonna give me the money? Because I thought you were gonna pay for it. Like she looks rich, she's not rich, she's not like hey, if it was and I get Beth was just like, Hey, it's your idea. You you must have the money. Yeah, solid plan.
SPEAKER_02Now you go execute, ha, literally and figuratively.
SPEAKER_01But that being said, I mean, they know he's there as a resource, so even for 30,000, they have options, you know. Before they had no options, right? Right. So the next handoff, Rio tells he's like, Yeah, I've been being robbed and being ripped off. And real's like, yeah, no, I I need to meet the guy. But they're like, Great, okay, sure. Not a motherfucking problem. Slice, it's a motherfucking problem. Right. So what's so what's the girls to do? They go to their buddy, their kidnapped buddy, JT, got his name again. And they're like, We need a we need a loan for the house. And he's like, Well, not with the collateral, and da-da-da-da-da. That's never gonna work. And then Annie's like, fuck it. We need to, we need to buy, we need to do it to hire a hitman. He's like, Oh, in that case, I got options for you. Like, he goes, Well, she's like, I want to rob my store. And Breath was like, That's not an option. He's like, You shouldn't let with that. I can help that I can help you with. And I just love him. And I need him as my friend. Because she's like, Well, how she's like, it's so easy, there's no cameras, and they're like, Well, how easy? It's like Sunday morning easy. Then you see JT holding Annie at knife point. Looks like a really big bread knife, but okay, it's fine. And the ladies are was Ruby and Beth in the car waiting. They're just gonna keep people from going in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like with surveys about dead babies. Yes. Oh, but but don't you don't you want to help the babies? The dead babies at that? You don't don't you want to save the babies?
SPEAKER_01You don't care about dead babies? It's like poor kid. He's like, no.
SPEAKER_02That conversation was like reading the comment section on the internet, okay? It it started as one thing and it just completely devolved into like something psychotic and irrelevant. Um, don't you care about dead babies? All I said was I like chocolate ice cream. That's exactly what happens. Sorry. So I guess I devolved too to psycho.
SPEAKER_01They're like, okay, screw this. This is taking way too long. They go into the mart, and there's a guy holding JT at gunpoint. He goes, Don't worry, ladies. I have a care, I have a purpose to carry. And they're like, what the actual fuck? He ends up shooting Ruby. JT gets away. Well, JT's like running away, and in the process, the guy, the good Samaritan, ends up shooting Ruby. That being and then he says, he goes, that's the problem. They don't teach you how to use the gun when they're doing the class. And I've said this time and time and time again. I personally did not get my CCW until I learned how to use my weapon exceptionally well, by the way. Just want to throw it out there. But you don't need the permit, you don't need to know how to use the fucking gun to get a permit. And the fact that that is standard boggles my fucking mind. So you're giving people the legal permission to carry a firearm and not ensuring they know how to use it. And the whole chat, the whole and the process to get a gun, that in itself never mind carrying just to even own one is bullshit. And I say this as a and it depends on what state you're in, but there's still not overall.
SPEAKER_02It's the same, for the most part, it's still the same qualifications. Like if you can own a gun, there's there's very few states that are gonna give you a hard time.
SPEAKER_01If you can pretty much the states that allow you to purchase a gun, there's no hard time, period. There really isn't.
SPEAKER_02I just I just mean like, well, I speak for somebody from New York City.
SPEAKER_01Well, you can't have a gun, period. I mean normal people can't.
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm saying. Well, you can. It's very hard in New York City to get one. You don't have to open carry there. I'm talking about the other states that actually that you can. No, right. That's that's what I mean is that there's very few places, you know, New York City being one of them, where you might get denied. But but by and large, in this country, it's like, hi, I'd like a gun. Here you go. And it's you know, happy fifth birthday.
SPEAKER_01Nerve-wracking. And I say this as a law-abiding, all joking aside, mentally stable woman. I like how you can throw that in there. I had to.
SPEAKER_02Um well, because the the problem is that we live in a country where there is it like saying zero accountability still seems too generous. Okay, people have no personal accountability, so it's not like you know, the responsible thing to do, even if you got your gun by all appropriate channels, the responsible thing to do would be like, wow, I have this thing, I I should learn how to use it. Not walk around with it and you know, but but like it's like a foreign thing, like, hey, well, I have it and I know what it does, but I have no idea how to fucking use it. I mean, even a car. You you can't get a license to drive a car without proving not just that you're able to physically get in and perform the the um task of driving the car, but also you have to take a written test so that you can prove that you know what the signs mean, what the you know the other stuff, and that's dangerous, right? Because yes, a car can be a deadly weapon, but it's not it's like you use a car to get two and from work, to and from school, okay. You you go out, you go places, you you have fun or whatever, like you know, you go on a vacation. What do you use a gun for? There's only one purpose for a gun, and all of it is deadly. So if it you can't just say, like, oh, I was just taking the gun out for a spin, it has a potential so much more than a car, and yet we're like, no, the cars have to be regulated and licensed and tagged and insured, and but guns, it's like, hey, here, have fun. Hope you don't shoot anybody by accident. No problem. Don't don't shoot yourself in the process. Like, we know you have no idea what to do with it, and also we don't care. But here, go for it. Because Merka, like, I know that sounded very anti-gun, and it's like I'm not a big lover of guns, and it's not anti-gun, it's it's just anti-speaker right stupid. Like, so many dumbasses walking around with these deadly weapons and don't know what to do with them, don't know how to keep themselves or the people around them safe because they just have never learned because they don't have to, and it is a problem.
SPEAKER_01So Ruby is shot in a thigh. It's not funny, but their reaction was kind of funny. Like, what do you want to drink? I want a slushy, we don't have the flavor. What's next? A Frappuccino, carrying a Frapuccino, which is you want a straw with that. Like, it was kind of like you know, kind of funny. So I'm glad they were able to lighten the whole getting shot thing.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think that that's just a testament to their friendship. Why are you looking at me like that? Nothing. I'm just in the middle of something, and it just never happened.
SPEAKER_01I was I was going to say something, and it just said sorry, go ahead and I forget things, and I you know, you know, I forget things. So you said it was just a testament of oh of their friendship, because if that was us, we would have been doing the same thing.
SPEAKER_02Like, we don't know what to do, but like, do you want something to drink? We would have been just as dumb.
SPEAKER_01Hey good, tequila. Right, but I think if it was us, I don't think one of us would have gotten shot. Well, a little bit smarter.
SPEAKER_02That's besides the point.
SPEAKER_01We're a little bit smarter and being and being doing our illegal activities, right?
SPEAKER_02We would have been smarter in our dumb shit.
SPEAKER_01Right. In theory, if we were to do illegal activities, we would have been a lot smarter, hypothetically speaking, of course. Hypothetically, of course. Of course. Beth goes, and I love the fact that Beth acts Beth has kind of subconsciously just allow Annie to do her thing. She goes, What do you need? And she goes, sponges, and they're here, and I'm gonna need the saran rapper, whatever the case may be. She goes, and behind this aisle is like what she said. Yeah, I don't remember. The ice pick, the what the ice scrapers, ice scrapers. Not window, not skyscrapers, but ice scrapers. Okay. Everyone watching this, you're like, wait, ice scraper? Wait, like sponges? Okay, I get sponges, you know. You know, it makes sense. And you see Ruby on the lift. What else? Well, why am I stupid today? The bear the lift, the gurney, thank you.
unknownThe lift.
SPEAKER_01Didn't I tell you nine or ten times I'm not a person? Is that nine? This is number seven. We're going down from nine to six to seven. There's still six more examples at least. Okay. And the M the EMT lady, the EMT lady, what the what the fuck was that, Lisa? I I don't even know anymore. She um she goes, Who did this? And you see what exactly Annie did, and it kind of looked like a size experiment, got awry.
SPEAKER_02It looked like if my 12-year-old tried to do like uh first aid. It was just like a clusterfuck of like and it looked like toilet paper and I don't like I don't even know. It was just yes, like dish sponges and then she wrapped it.
SPEAKER_01It actually, but it worked, it worked, and she was like, I did, because she was expecting some bullshit. She was expecting because that's what she gets. Annie gets that, what are you stupid? Like she was expecting it, and she goes, You just saved her life. And the look on Annie's face was like, I did that, yeah. And while we're talking about Annie, I like the fact that she seems to have a positive and healthy relationship with the man, Josh, Dr. Josh. I was like, what man? What man? And it's it's no nothing messy. They have a great friendship. Well, I don't say friendship, but they have a great rapport. And I see, and it's her getting into a life of crime is make is helping her grow. I mean, because watching why can't I remember the girl's name? Watching the girl get killed, she knew she needed to Lucy, she knew she needed to seek help. That was her first thing. She didn't go destructive, she didn't find some random guy to fuck. That's true. That's that is that's a good point. I hadn't considered that. And this just warms our heart that she's actually having a healthy relationship with the man. It still could have gone real left real quick. And when it did, and even though it was kind of a clusterfuck, when she when it did kind get kind of messy, she tapped out. So another smart move for Annie. So good job, Annie. Life of crime is not always a bad thing.
SPEAKER_02Victims might feel differently, but okay.
SPEAKER_01Well, you know, they're victims real in themselves, so it's fine, it works out. Well, in this case, in this case, it works out great. This did work out. Plan A did not work. Who would have thought that? I would never have guessed that plan A was not gonna work. So they go to plan B. They go to tampon guy.
unknownHuh?
SPEAKER_01Get it? Take plan B, tampon, max. Okay, never mind. Uh got it. Okay, I thought it was cute. So they go to have him take the shot, and it went as well as you could as you thought it would have gone. And the fact that Beth is his instructor, I find that funny, but she preparable to what he's at, she's a professional. Although she did not kill Ryo through as true, three shots. He would have died though, if FBI agent didn't save him. Like, he wouldn't, yeah. So I'm not even mad at her. Like, her job would have been done. So you can't fault her for that. Um, so he kind of so she takes him out, I don't know, out in the open and showed him how to shoot. And obviously it was loud because the guns are loud, and he he got his really bad ass, what was it, bunny earmuffs? It's like uh no, for some reason it didn't seem it seemed right for him.
SPEAKER_02It just yeah, it worked, yeah. But it's like this whole montage, and it starts off as like, you know, as you would expect, right? Where he's just like he shoots it and then he's like he drops it, he's like, Oh my god, that's loud. And then he he has his ear muffs and he's you know shooting and he's doing different stances and he's kicking and he's sideways and he's like you know, you're thinking the stretch with the legs, yeah, yeah. And you're like, oh, look at that. Like, you know, she she Mr. Miyagi'd him, you know, and then they they show the the um I don't know what it's called. The it was like a wood panel, like well, it's like a barn, but the the poster, you know, like that you shoot at at the range, the range. I forgot what that's called, yeah, of like the silhouette, whatever, and it's attached to the barn, and like first you see from the inside, and you can see all the holes like of the light shining through, and then when you see the poster, he shot everywhere but the poster. But the poster. I was like, Oh, yeah, so he actually didn't do that much better. Like he's over here this way, that way, this way, and he's shooting everything except what he's aiming at. So, another one.
SPEAKER_01To be fair, no, he he shot the gun repeatedly without you know hitting himself in the face with the recoil. Okay, I mean, I guess considering his max, I think he did exceptionally well because I honestly thought I thought that was going to happen. Okay, I just think my head just saw this like happening. So I am very proud of him. The fact that this is their last resort should tell everyone watching that they're gonna die. Like, Rio's gonna kill him. Beth decides I'm gonna introduce Rio to my ink guy, and it's Max. They're at the the bar, the restaurant. And so they go there, I get hungry. They're sitting at the bar or the restaurant, what have you. Max has the gun under the table aimed at Rio, and Rio is going through the whole, you know, I'm being raw blind, da-da-da-da. And Beth goes, Well, is anything you want to say to him? And he goes, he's losing his shit. We all know he's gonna wuss out. So this comes at no surprise when he says, You're right, I'm sorry. I should never have tried to raise my prices on you. And Rio goes, good, because you almost lost yourself a customer. And so he gets up to go, and Buff's like, is there anything else? He's like, Yeah, no, we're good. Any surprise? None.
SPEAKER_02And then, and it's funny when they all sit down, and Rio tells the bartender, like, oh, what are you drinking? And he's like, Sprite, no ice. It's like he served a drink with the straw, and then at the end, he's like, Thanks for the pop. Yeah, thanks for the pop. All right, buddy, you're real scary. But can I ask a dumb question? What was the plan here? Was he just supposed to shoot Rio under the table, like in public car?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, that was a dumb plan to begin with. So I'm cla nothing, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, I I I don't know what the logic was of that, but I think he did you a favor by peeing his pants.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, oh yeah, oh that's right. He peed his pants, yes, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's like, I wet myself, and she was like, It's okay, my kids do it all the time. Buddy. Although her kids, you know, derelicts in training as they are, probably would have taken the shot. Probably most likely. Kenny, Kenny definitely would have taken that shot.
SPEAKER_01What is it with people named Kenny? I feel like Kenny is just your kid is gonna be horrible if you're naming him Kenny. I don't know any good kid. Oh well, actually, no, he's a good guy. But other than that, other can other than the Kenny we know, I don't know any other good Kenny's.
SPEAKER_02Is the Kenny we know a good guy?
SPEAKER_01As far as we know, as far as we know, you're a great guy, Kenny. We love you. They talk and they just come to an agreement, like he goes, just I just need one thing, and then I'm done. I just need one thing, and we already know what that one thing is, and then we see Beth and Dean talking to the kids about Ojou, and they're like, We have to give him back, and he has a family and all that other stuff. We knew that was gonna happen, and she goes, Well, what about we get another pet? And this time you guys can pick it out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like anything you want, anything you want.
SPEAKER_01And the two boys are, and then the the little girl's in the middle, the two sons on either end, and they look at each other. The the sons look at each other like a snake. And Beth was like, um, yeah, that's not that's no. What about she goes, what about how about a gerbil? A gerbil or a hamster or that cute little rabbit you saw at the at the whatever they at the whatever they little girl is like, yeah, and then we can feed it to the snakes.
SPEAKER_02Boys, yeah. I tell you, that kid would have taken the shot. Yeah, her kid. Uh-huh. That kid was was like so excited about the thought of the rabbit. So he could feed it to the snake. Of course, she should have brought him with her. No, that was the little girl who said that. No, the the girl wanted the rabbit, the boy was saying that they could feed it to the snake.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's right. And the little girl goes, Yeah! She was she co-signed it. That's right.
SPEAKER_02But that's what I'm saying. She should have taken one of them boys with her and given him the gun. That kid wouldn't have hesitated. And he probably also wouldn't have pissed himself. Psycho kid, she's got there. She should have definitely taken the one who didn't want to share the ice cream.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that one.
SPEAKER_02Psychopath in training.
SPEAKER_01Are they are they in training anymore? I feel like they're past that training stage.
SPEAKER_02They're like, they're no longer amateurs.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_02They're novices now. No, I was gonna say that. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Backtrack a little bit. We have Dean um having a moment at work that his life sucks. Everything sucks. And his co-worker goes, Hey, you heard about so and so? He's like, Yeah, he got promoted to like regional and the whole Vegas. I think, is it he's going to Vegas? That's what it happened. He goes, he's going to Vegas because he got promoted. And he goes, like, how did this happen? The cowork goes, Boning, what's her name? I don't want to say boning Grace. I feel like Donna Karen. Some chick's name.
SPEAKER_02I feel like it's like Karen.
SPEAKER_01Karen. Okay, then we but until we find out different, because if you listen to our shows, you know we make up names until we get the real name. I.e. Agnes can't remember their real character's name. So she makes up a name. So what do you say? Karen? That's her name until we find out different. I don't know. Let's just call her Karen. Karen. Okay. He goes, Oh, he's boning Karen. And he goes, Well, why can't we? She's like, can we just keep his leads? He goes, no, he goes, what does his leads go? And he goes, oh, it goes back to corporate. He's like, but why? He's like, yeah, fuck this. We're gonna, this is what we're gonna do. And the guy was like, I can't, you know, I can't afford to lose my job. He's like, don't worry, I got you. So you see him on the phone with one of the leads, and he's doing his thing. And Karen comes out and she reprimands him, tells him to get off the phone, pulls into her office, and she's like, You gotta, you know, you're fired. He goes, Yeah. Call, you know, call HR, tell him how you know you've all your employees fucked their way up. He goes, and what about so-and-so, the coworker? He goes, Oh, it's fine, because I told him that once I get rid of you, he can have your job. And she's just like, okay, I'm fucked here, and not the way she wanted to be fucked. See, girls can do anything, and I love the fact about good girls are all the women are stepping into male-dominated personalities, you know, illegal activities, sexual harassment, sexual harassment.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we can do anything they can do. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, not exactly a woman power episode um TV show, but take from it what you will. They're coming home from getting the snake, which it's like okay. And the kids run into the house first, and all of a sudden you hear the kids screaming. Beth and Dean go running in, and the house is stripped. It looks like it's a brand new house that's ready to be sold. Like it's stripped. I've never seen anything stripped. Like, this is bananas.
SPEAKER_02All I know is that if I knew Rio, I would have hired him one.
SPEAKER_03To help me move.
SPEAKER_02Seriously, that is impressive. It's I have moved many a times and in houses way smaller than that. Like apartments to houses way smaller, and and it never, ever, ever was that closed.
SPEAKER_01There's nothing left, like nothing, nothing. And she walks to the kitchen island, and there's a note from our buddy that says, Don't ever steal from me again. And we kind of before we even saw the note, we all knew what happened. Like, we all knew what happened because if it was like burglars, they would have left, like, you know, that they would oh yeah, no, it wouldn't have been clean. It right, it's clean, it was just stripped.
SPEAKER_02It was just like Rio has uh business opportunity outside of yeah in this industry, legit. And yeah, are you kidding? You understand how much people would pay for launder his money that way.
SPEAKER_01That's pretty much the end of the episode. I'm 100% sure there was things that I missed. Oh, I did miss something, Annie. Um, because everyone does their online research on the toilet in the bathroom, yeah, not Ben is like, what are you doing in here? Light a, you know, light a match when you're done. Like it was so what she's doing is looking how to become an EMT. And I was like, Oh, I'm so happy for you, a little Annie growing up 30 years later, but she did it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, oh, and the therapist gave her that shirt to wear. Yes, that yellow shirt.
SPEAKER_01I forgot what scalped in my boat or something like that, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And um, because she references it when she's sitting on the toilet, and Ben is like, um, yeah, just light a match when you're done. Like so she she has the shirt when she's leaving the office, and then there's a kid waiting to go in, and the kid is wearing the shirt, and the kid looks at her and is like, it doesn't work. And then she's like, duh. But when she's sitting on the toilet, she's wearing the shirt. The shirt.
SPEAKER_01So it does work, I think.
SPEAKER_02So who knows? But I like that they, you know, they made a thing about the shirt, and then it was like, and look at her wearing it. Like it was almost like you could see how her attitude went from negative to positive.
SPEAKER_01So I don't really know the name of the next episode. But what do you think is gonna happen next week? I have no idea. I thought they were gonna be in Vegas this week. That's the one thing about this. It keeps you in like surprise. You never know what you're gonna get. Life is like a box of chocolates. Yeah, that doesn't really apply to me because I could look at chocolate and tell what's what kind of chocolate it is. Because I'm a professional fat ass. Some not all. Most. I mean, if you get like if you keep within the same brands, you know. You pretty much know what's gonna be in that. Like, oh, that's what that's their pecan turtle thing. Oh, that's their strawberry cream, like you know, that's the dark chocolate strawberry, you know, or whatever. Although, let's get like six different brands of boxed chocolates and see what and let's try the theory out.
SPEAKER_02I'm okay. Well, that's not gonna work for me, but okay. Oh, because the nuts, shit. Yeah, okay. I only eat certain nuts, only certain nuts are allowed to go in my mouth.
SPEAKER_00I love that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. Let's get six different boxes of allergy free chocolates. I'm sure there's some there's a store in 2026.
SPEAKER_02There is I could eat, I could eat certain brands. It's just I can't eat all the the chocolates.
SPEAKER_01But if we can go and get like brands that are completely allergen-free, you know they're gonna be nut-free for the most part to be safe on the safe side, right?
SPEAKER_02But then how can I identify a pecan cluster or whatever?
SPEAKER_01Well, well, you can't. Well, you could do like, is this a caramel? Is this a strawberry cream?
SPEAKER_02Is this yeah, I could also just bite into it. I used to always just p p uh like pinch off a corner when I was.
SPEAKER_01Well, there's a map at the bottom, usually, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but yeah, you know, sometimes just opening them was more fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know what? I co-sign that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Anyway. Anywho, anyhow. I don't have anything else. I don't have anything else either. I don't know what's gonna happen in the next episode, but I'm but I'm gonna show up for it. She's here for it.
SPEAKER_01She has to be because she's the she's the host.
SPEAKER_02So also, I was telling one of my co-workers yesterday about the math season that we're doing, and she was like, Oh, I never watched it. Is it a good show? And and picture me trying to like encourage someone to watch reality TV. And I was like explaining it, and I'm like, no, but you should watch because the season that we're doing is like a fucking clusterfuck. And every week I'm like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Lisa, should I tell you the following season after this one? Yeah, I think it's the net is in Chicago, I think. That's the one I want you to watch. Well, was it on that's even worse?
SPEAKER_02Oh god. Sorry, we might have to.
SPEAKER_01Like, that's what I wanted to watch, but was it available on Netflix?
SPEAKER_02Is so, and it's funny because the the way it started is because a woman came in last night and she looked like Becca. Okay, except her hair was purple, and I'm looking at her and I'm like, this can't, can it? Like, you know, and I'm like, okay, if I if I was still in the city, I really, really would have been like, there's a really good fucking chance, right? But like, and I'm like, okay, and then when she swiped and her name came up, well, actually, she didn't swipe, she just told me, and it it wasn't Becca, it was a different name, and I was like, all right, like it's probably not her, but like it looks so much like her. And then the fact that she had purple hair, you know, and so did you say, like, hey, you look like this chick. Did you like this is what happened? No, I didn't say anything, but then um, so I was telling my co-worker, and and then that's how we started talking about it, and I was telling her about Emily and Brennan, and uh and her name is Emily, and she was like, Oh, I was like, Yeah, I was like, you should watch. So, yeah, whatever. And then she and then you know what she said? Do you guys watch Love Island? And I'm like, no, but other people have told us that, so I I think it's time we bite the bullet on that one.
SPEAKER_01I think we should, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um okay, but yeah, as far as this, I don't have anything else. And I wanna watch I wanna record the next maps now because like I've got things to say about somebody.
SPEAKER_01I have a couple things to say. Um, so the next episode is Nana, and I wonder what I wonder who's gonna be in that episode. Is it the dog from Peter Pan?
SPEAKER_02The dog's name was Nana on Peter Pan. I know I wasn't expecting that. That's what it was like. Is my mom gonna be in the episode? That's what my kids call her. Oh, really? Nanna, Nanner, they're like Nanners, Nanna. I mean, they call her Nana, but they're like Nanner, Nanner.
SPEAKER_01I like being a nanny, nanners, yeah, yeah. I want to be granny, but they named them, they gave me actually named me yourself. I spent the day with Krista and the boys yesterday, and Angel's like, I'm going to Yahya's house. I said, No, not today. He goes, Yes, today, let's go. I was like, and this was the this was the baby. Oh, the only minute in my life, and I love them with all my heart and soul. What else do you need?
