Hi, and welcome to Sass and Sips, your favorite Watch Rewatch podcast featuring me, Lisa, and my co-host Agnes. Me, Agnes. And we are sipping as we sass. And in my case, I am I'm actually just sipping on coffee with it's just got a little bit of whiskey in it. Just a little bit. Just a little bit.
SPEAKER_02I hate you.
SPEAKER_01Why? Because I want coffee. Is it with the peanut butter whiskey? Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's just plain. And a little bit. Oh, and I got a little bit of vanilla too.
SPEAKER_02Ooh.
SPEAKER_01And cinnamon.
SPEAKER_02Well, I put vanilla and cinnamon. I put Mexican vanilla and cinnamon on my coffee grinds. That's the point where I just add it to the grinds when I grind it up.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes I do, yeah. Well, not when I grind it, when I brew it.
SPEAKER_02Um, I'm sipping on wine with pineapple and ferment like like the pineapples I had in my jar. They're slightly fermented. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, we are gathered here today to talk about good girls. Talk about this thing called life, you know. Elevators and all that.
SPEAKER_02If you know, you know.
SPEAKER_01Uh season four, episode what is it, 12, 13? What did you tell me?
SPEAKER_0213. 13, 13. Lucky 13.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, lucky. And the episode is called You. You. You.
SPEAKER_02So, any hot takes on episode U, also known as 13.
SPEAKER_01Where have I seen that lady before leading the charge against them? Was it in like why did she look like the lady who did the PTA stuff, but then she looked like the lady with the fake handbag? But then I'm like. It was.
SPEAKER_02It was oh the lady, the fake handbag. That's a fake handbag lady. That's the fake handbag lady, right? Yeah, who took the who got her after after she stole the club from them and they stole it back from her. She was on a mission.
SPEAKER_01Cause then I was like, but she also kind of looked like the lady who remember when they would do the school events. Yes. I was like, is it just that that all the blonde ladies look alike?
SPEAKER_02Maybe.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I know I saw her somewhere. Was it even in this show? I don't know. It might have been no, but that was this I'm a blonde lady also, so you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so she's not it's it's it's not it's not derogatory if it's coming from another blonde person.
SPEAKER_01Well, I just meant because I'm also, you know, solar powered and ditzy.
SPEAKER_02So I I don't want to say no. That is not the same PTM mom from before, like seasons ago.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Um, but it's definitely this it's it's the the handbag lady. The handbag lady. All right. And she has some balls. Like you stole the property. You were on your way out the door, you took it from them, and they just took it back. Right. You got me always.
SPEAKER_01But that's what always happens. With Karen's. Well, yeah, because once you're in the wrong, you can't just admit, ah, fucked up, let me just walk away. No, you want to double down on on being a jerk. On being a Karen. And it's just like, lady, just just go home and live your life, please.
SPEAKER_02Or not. At this rate.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I am actually going to see if I is the same lady. So I was gonna say go on. Nope. She was just, she's just in two episodes, which is Stealing and Stealing the last week's episode and this week's episode. So it's just okay. So it's just I don't know.
SPEAKER_01And like I didn't think she looked familiar in the last one. It was just this one that I was like, I I guess maybe seeing her in a little bit different capacity in the episode had to be.
SPEAKER_02Kind of like you look familiar, but not the same person kind of look.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're not wrong. Yeah, it would for a second, like, is that? Oh my god, that is. Okay. Okay. I feel better now, because that was gonna irk me to the end of time. Oh until I forgot about it. Which is what happened.
SPEAKER_01It's nice when that happens.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna put my phone down. I'm like, okay, let's start. And but that's me who's starting. So I kinda need my phone, right? A little bit. Just a little bit. So while reviewing some murder scene evidence, now mind you, I was confused as fuck through this entire scene until it flipped over. I'm like, oh yeah, duh. Until I show until they show me the envelope. I'm like, oh, okay, this is good, girls. I'm like, did I hit the wrong thing?
SPEAKER_01But he's like, Which that is another um hot take of mine, actually, now that you think about, like now that you brought it up, is why the fuck did he leave that envelope there?
SPEAKER_02Seriously, like you're supposed to be like hitman extraordinaire, and you see something like actually labeled to the Secret Service. Right, you don't pick that up?
SPEAKER_01Right. Because in my head, I'm like, okay, I know that he was sent there because he's like the dude is obviously asking questions and they know that he's onto it. So maybe, just maybe, he didn't know that that envelope existed. However, it was literally sitting right out in the open because it got spaghettios on it. Mick, it's like, dude, how did you not know?
SPEAKER_02Like, worst case scenario, you right. What difference does it make if it had to do with you guys or not? That should be something you picked up. Yeah. That was a major ball drop, Mick.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Highly disappointed in you. You know.
SPEAKER_01She's probably too busy thinking about Oreos.
SPEAKER_02Honestly, I kind of want chocolate cover Oreos.
SPEAKER_01At least we know the kid's okay, though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the kid's okay.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02The kid's happy mom.
SPEAKER_01Christmas.
SPEAKER_02So a police officer finds the envelope Potter intended to send to Phoebe. The letter winds up in Phoebe's possession, and the agent is shook. So she's going through her, she's saying bye to her buddy because she's on vacation indefinitely. The little dude is like, so did you say anything about last night there? Like he made noises that I've never heard a man make. And I'm thinking to myself, I probably heard it before. But anyway.
SPEAKER_01I wanted to hear what they were. I want to be like, I kind of did too. Yeah. So DL Dave and Agent Han Mess are back.
SPEAKER_02Yep, yep, yep. Got the team back together.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02The episode officially begins where I realize I'm watching the right show.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Because at the time, I was like, what the hell?
SPEAKER_01Until they move to And especially it had like that cold case look to it. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Until they flip two feet. Until I saw the envelope that the I'm like, oh, I am the right one. Yeah. Listen, you cannot confuse me. It does not take much. Don't do that to me. So the ladies are now in the hot tub and they're matching swimsuits. It's like that tangerine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. What are the odds? Or do they call each other like on maps and be like, you know, in the hot tub we went orange? And why does Beth look like she sh it's her house, but yet she's wearing clothes? They still match. They still have like that orange, like burnt Sienna color. But why is she wearing like a shirt? It's her house. Does she not have a bathing suit?
SPEAKER_02Maybe the actress didn't feel comfortable.
SPEAKER_01Maybe. But it's like you can't even be like, oh, I forgot to bring a bathing suit. Bitch, it's your house. Put a fucking tank top on. Like it's long sleeves and everything. Okay. In the hot tub. In the hot tub, in your house. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Rio and Nick, so the ladies are talking about are in the hot tub, discussing business and stuff. And Beth tells Ruby and Annie that she's considering running for city council. She's like, you know, in case Rio ever says want to lock any of them in the freezer again, I at least have some leverage. And Ruby and Annie are like, I thought you want to get out. Like, this is not getting out. Well, how about to Nevada? They're like, she goes, we're still gonna do Nevada, but this would make sure we're able to make it to Nevada.
SPEAKER_01I like Annie's, she's like, yeah, it's like taking a flight to Vegas with the stopover in Miami. And as stupid as that sounds, but how many times have you and I been looking for flights? And it's literally that. And it's like exactly I'm flying from New York or New Jersey down to Orlando, and it wants you to have like a stopover in diverse. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And we're like, the fuck? So But why they charge me extra for the privilege of not getting to where I want to go. Like if you don't give me a huge faster. If you want to give me a huge discount for the inconvenience, maybe.
SPEAKER_01Right. To take a 2,000 mile detour. Sure.
SPEAKER_02Opposite direction. Like, no. Yeah. Love that for us. But she's like, okay, fine. She seems a little put off that they don't want to get in deeper. You know, they want they want to get their way out. Rio is and Nick are having lunch together or having a beer. And Rio gives him women of women advice, but Nick said, not my style. He's like, maybe she has you're not giving what she needs. He goes, and what does she need? She just has ponytail pulled. And I was like, pull my ponytail.
SPEAKER_01I love my ponytail pulled. Oh, I was like, But he's not wrong. Right. I was so kind of like, ew, and yes, in this scene. Same time. Because it's like, it's so derogatory. Because he's like, she's the kind of chick who needs to have. But at the same time, it's like, but he he he can recognize. And even though he's doing it for purely selfish reasons, he can still recognize what a woman wants.
SPEAKER_02What a girl wants. Well a girl needs. She wants her hair pulled. Yes. God. Pull a bitch's hair, please. And then tell me I'm a pretty girl. Excuse me, Michael, have a moment. Next scene, we have Annie sleeping on the couch with Ben's lacrosse stick. And she hears someone at the door. And it's what's his name? I can't remember his name. The roommate, the dude, Kevin. Chris Kevin. I still call him Chris Kevin, yes, because she could remember his name for the longest. And okay. So he comes through the door. Everything, the entire kitchen is in front of the door. And he's like, and of course she beats him with a stick because she doesn't know who he is. So she's obviously going through something. She got kidnapped. And he goes, What do you? He goes, why doesn't my key work? He goes, she goes, the lock's broke. So my first thing, my key doesn't work. You tell me, and then I get through and it's like a whole fucking barricade, and you said that the lock is broke. My first question would be, what the fuck is going on? What happened? Right, right. Not the whatever. Why is your kitchen?
SPEAKER_01Right. Why is your kitchen? So I like your kitchen in front of your door. A kitchen in front of the in in front of the door, right?
SPEAKER_02And it was like, you don't ask, okay, what the fuck is going on? You're you're you're beating me with a lacrosse stick, you're barricading the door, the door block is broken. Oh my God, what happened?
SPEAKER_01Right. And especially when she's like, oh, you're going to Angela's?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01When Angela could come here, Angela could hang out here. We can all I can order food. You can sleep in my bed.
SPEAKER_02You're like, wait, what the fuck is going on? And then she said, you missed the excitement. And he says something. She's like, no, not that kind of excitement. And hello, she's telling. Yeah. And this is when they said that, I don't know. Yes, she didn't say that hey, I got kidnapped, but at the same time, there's obvious red flags all over the house. Right. Anyhow. And this is why we yelled at men.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. But also, why why didn't Annie get her lock fixed?
unknownI mean, like.
SPEAKER_02And honestly, if it's the landlord in that building, dude, it probably like, he probably just like, I'll do it when I can do it.
SPEAKER_01Right. But also, at the very least, do it yourself and take it out of the rent. Like instead of living scared.
SPEAKER_02But then you wouldn't have this scene.
SPEAKER_01No, of course not. Right. Yeah. But in real life, please just go get your lock fixed.
SPEAKER_02No, in real life, it totally would have been fixed. Five minutes after the fact. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01And if your landlord doesn't do it, you do it yourself and take it out of the rent. And your rent. Please don't live in fear like that.
SPEAKER_02You see, Stan packing up the purses when Ruby comes home. And pretty much they're out of business and they have to give the money back because Ruby goes, Your purse is fake to carry McBitchy bitch. So he has to get back the money, close down the business, and he blames Beth. He goes, I would bet all night with the scheme, and you come back and everything's blown up to pieces. Like, I don't, like, I don't know what the fuck is going on. But she's a common denominator, although, although Ruby's did say it. So it's kind of Ruby's fault. I mean. But I get him, like, every time you with Beth, something fucking happens. You're in a situation that you are, you find yourself that you're in. Beth, Annie and Ruby are working, they're making their money with no background music this time. So I'm a little disappointed. I wanted background music for this one, but you know, fine. Beth then tells Ruby, like, hey, we need some money. Like, maybe we should get back into the um hers business. And that's when Ruby tells him, like, yeah, I inventory is gone. We kind of got fucked with that one. Sorry, my bad. I did that. Ruby, not Ruby. Ru Rio. Ru Rio. Rio's at the club. He's like, you know, see, I think I should clean this place up and um start running it. But it's like, the fuck. Fuck no, we're out. We're tapping out. This is not doing it. Because you know, Rio's name isn't on this at all. It's their place. And here comes Ruby and Annie, like, well, how much la cut? Well, he's like, nothing. He goes, she goes, then um, then we had we're not opening up shit. He goes, Well, maybe he's also negotiating with Ruby and Annie. And Beth is like, what the fuck is actually going on here? I thought you guys wanted out. Yeah. She's like, I thought you guys wanted out. Like, shit, we don't have the purse money. Annie's fighting her own. Like, fuck this shit. He's gonna kidnap me. I won't get paid for this shit. Because better than making the money with no ends. If you're gonna make me open up this joint, this is all me. Which, which is fair. Right. Phoebe now drops by to see Dave, and he's getting his ass handed to him. Like his balls are now. His wife wears his balls as jewelry. So yeah. And she tells him, like, hey, we should go back out there. We should go back to Detroit. He's like, but you're on vacation. She goes, but you're not. He's like, yeah, no. That's not, we're not not even a jurisdiction. You need to go real vacation. Now the guys, the bros are having they're having a meeting of the mindless in Dean's kitchen. That was a good one. Stupid, but good. And they're giving the lawyer dude all this information that they have. Dean has a moment of hesitancy. And like, wait, is he not going to do it now? Was I right last week? But he ends up giving it to them. Dean is still like, uh, he's like, Am I doing too much? What am I doing? Stan's like, she brought this on herself. Stan is not a fan of Beth, in case you haven't realized it up to this point. I know it's kind of subtle. You may not be able to tell. He's not so much of a Beth fan. The next morning, Andy's back at home. Someone's at the door. We have a repeat, and it's Ben. Ben, genius teenager that he is, is like, what the fuck is going on here? What happened? He's smart. He's a smart kid. And she's like, Dad, nothing. That's fine. Go to your game. You need to go to the game. It's semifinals. And he's pretty much talking about Nancy and that she's lost her will to live at this point. She's not in a good place. Life is shit for her. And I feel bad. I get it. You know. Annie, I like when Annie goes to talk to her. And pretty much her motivational speech, her get up and get him was like, Well, you lost your husband. And she's like, She's like, oh, but I lost him. She was like, but you got him back.
SPEAKER_01Timeout. Why do I not remember this scene then?
SPEAKER_02Because it was Yeah. After Ben tells Annie about how bad she is, she goes and visits her. And she's like undercover, she's a hot mess.
SPEAKER_01Is this episode from today?
SPEAKER_02Unless I watch two episodes by mistake. Oh fuck. I I'm like, I don't remember any of this. Holy shit. I watched two episodes by mistake, I think. Okay, okay, okay. No! Wait, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't have. Wait, hold on a second. Because the scene, Ben comes and she's like, Aren't you Aren't you supposed to be at a tournament? And Ben's like, yeah, but Annie has the thing for the rugby. So he like nods at her and she was like, Oh. So he's getting his stuff, and they're just she's like, Oh, do you don't you need like a chaperone? And he's like, No, dad's gonna do it, and and it's like, oh. Holy shit. But then it's like that's pretty much it. There's really no mention. Holy shit. And so when you first mentioned Nancy, I was like, oh, maybe I just missed the mention. But then I'm like, no, I don't remember seeing Nancy or Greg or any elaboration on that.
SPEAKER_02Holy shit. No. Okay. I was doing other things, and I guess it went to the next episode without me realizing it. I'm like, damn, this is a long episode.
SPEAKER_00Now I know why. Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_02Let's thought that scene over. The next morning, once again, we have a repeat. Someone's at Annie's door. And it's Ben. And obviously, you she's holding the lacrosse stick and the stuff in front of the door. And he's like, What the hell's going on here? Because he's a teenager and he's a fucking genius. And he understands social cues and what people and body language. And she goes, What are you doing home? And he's like, I have a lacrosse game. And points to the gate, the to the stick that she has in her hand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I can't remember what it was called. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I just call it a lacrosse stick because I don't know what else it's called. Like, you have a hockey stick, you got a lacrosse stick. I don't know if that's I don't know what it's called. We should look that up. You should look that up while I babble. Okay. And she admits him, like, I'm afraid of being. I don't want to be alone. And he goes, Well, I'm just gonna not go to the game. She goes, You can't. It's the semifinals. And then somehow Nancy's name gets mentioned. And he's like, no, she kind of lost the will for life to live at the moment. She's not in a good place. The next scene, Beth, Dean is in the couch chilling, drinking a beer, watching TV, and Beth comes in and says, She figured out that if she just gives the kids what they want, they go right to bed. And Dean was like, So what happens when they wake up? She goes, ah, they forget about it. He goes, So you lied to them. I was like, Dean, you are not perfect. Like, I get it that her situation has pure got you. This is you shouldn't be in the situation you're in. You should not, you should never have been arrested. You should not be in fucking home. I don't say home lockdown. What is it? Home arrest. House arrest. I get it. She her situation got you all the way fucked up. I totally get it. You have every right to be some kind of feel some type of way. That being said, you're not exactly a saint. Let's start off why she ended up in this position. So she goes, Well, Rio was throwing a lot at her and she might have to work nights too. He said, Well, don't miss too many bedtimes. You don't know how many you have left. Ew, fuck you. And the horse you wrote in.
SPEAKER_01Seriously. How many bedtimes did you miss, Dean, while you were out gallivanting? Mm-hmm. Nice word to say. No, no, nobody ever questions it. No. The guy misses bedtime. And they're just as much his kids. So, like, let's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, and while he was out missing the kids' bedtime, he was fucking losing money. He was fucking around chicks and losing and almost lost a house. At least Beth is trying to, you know, keep a move over their heads. I mean, she's enjoyed it way too much. But anyway. Yeah. You know, they say, love what you do. You never broke a day in your life. Annie then goes to Angela's job, which is Kevin's girlfriend, and she says she's looking for Kevin. Angela's like, well, he's probably at my place. And Annie goes and she she tried to discourage Angela for dating Kevin. And Angela, like, she obviously catches on. She's like, well, I like that he's different. What boggles my mind is Annie is showing her all this stuff, like, you know, his bathroom, his, you know, everything, and the condiments, and all the other stuff that things that he does for being the bucket, for being unhoused. And Angie looks shocked. I'm like, girl, you knew he was homeless. So why are you so shocked? You knew this dude was homeless because he used to get food from the from the dumpster in the back of your restaurant. What did you think that looked like, bitch? I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02That was. But somehow she still catches on.
SPEAKER_01Angela was a little too smart. Because at first she was kind of like, wait, what? But Annie kept going. So then Angela's kind of like, Hmm, okay, I get it. Like, why are you doing this? So kind of good on her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it took her long enough. I mean, she got it relatively quick. But I still don't know why she was surprised to begin with. Mm-hmm. That's just me. At the club, at the clerk, we're off bam. Okay.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_02The girls are getting everything we opened, they're getting everything started to open up the club. So we're back at the club. Now, mind you, this is after they talked to, I can't remember the girl's name, the head stripper. And she got all the girls back to do the dancing. Because they're like, well, they're not going to come back because dude treated us like shit. They're like, oh, it's it's under new management. So one of them was reading, like working at a nursing home. The other one was doing like business meetings. And I will tell you how lucrative stripping is. She dipped the fuck out. Put it that way. The other one was working on cars and mechanics. I love that. So not only do they have new management, it's a partnership.
SPEAKER_01And I love I love that it highlights the fact that just because these women are strippers, whether it's by choice or whatever, that they actually are not just reduced to that. Like they are more than that. And so like I really like the empowerment part of that part of that scene.
SPEAKER_02I feel like, and let's throw it back on the men. If women were paid equally and quote unquote real jobs, I say quote unquote real jobs, that I guess why I wouldn't they wouldn't have to strip to pay their bills. They wouldn't have to strip to go to college.
SPEAKER_01They wouldn't, you know what I mean? I feel like we've we've met women in real life who uh at strip clubs who are stripping their way through like grad school. Right.
SPEAKER_02Grad school people. And the guys who go there can't even spell grad. Okay. Some of them. So there's that. So as they're getting everything set and open, Kara McAshat, the twatwaffle, I gotta thank that lady on Facebook reels for her uh her nicknames. Stephanie, I can't remember what her what the name of the pot of the reel is. But anyway, thanks Stephanie, and she's out there petitioning against them opening. Beth goes to Nick, like, hey, this is a petition for us not to open. What the fuck? This this is there before. Like there, it's the same place that was open before. He's like, well, since it's reopening under new management, then they have a right to petition against it. You know, you can always run for city council. Phoebe, I miss Phoebe. I really did miss having her around.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad they brought her back.
SPEAKER_02Yes. And we were wondering, what I actually wondered, like, whatever happened to that envelope. But I really thought they're gonna bring it back sooner than what they did, so I completely forgot about it again. Which is par for Agnes. She's in her hotel room, and Dave shows up. And he just comes in like it's nothing, raised her mini fridge, and he's like, Oh, yeah, I'm gonna help you. And honestly, I don't think she had any doubt about him not coming. I don't think. I think she knew he was down. So at the city council meeting, Annie gets up and she starts saying this speech as she prepared. And then Beth put it was kind of weird, it's kind of Annie-ish, and Beth puts a stop to it. Because she was like reciting a monologue from Footloose. That's what I knew it sounded familiar. I just couldn't place it. By the way, Lisa, I know the Footloose dance. I could teach you. Okay. She's like, no, I don't want to know it. Okay. I'm gonna get you line dancing one day.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02I might have to like drug you. You might. And keep you full of alcohol. It's a bar, it has food and and beer. By like six beers in, you would be line dancing with me too. Anyway. Beth had brought all the business owners in the neighborhood over to prove that that business brought other businesses. The jewelry store, goes because the guys felt guilty after the night fair, the snack, like the whatever, the convenience store. There's always a lot of places that and that was brilliant. Businesses, if one business closed, usually, it usually does have a trickle effect. Of course. On the whole neighborhood. I remember my main street when I first moved here. I would have to say about 50% of those storefronts were closed. And they slowly started building, like go driving down. I was like, wow, this wasn't here when I first moved in. It's kind of nice to see it getting being built back up again. Anywho.
SPEAKER_01That's the thing, you know, uh communities are kind of like entwined together. Post symbiotic. Is that the right symbiotic? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, and so for the most part, when one, you know, the the more people in a community that do well, the more it it it spreads out, just not only even into your community, but I know we just are, you know, grown-ups with views and see the cause and effect.
SPEAKER_02But what do we know? Mm-hmm. So obviously the club gets to open. Beth one and at the club, guess who walks into the club? The club. At the club, we're all fam. Okay, I have to say that. I'm sorry. But Dave and Phoebe. And Phoebe goes, You miss us. I did. I don't know about the other girls, but I most certainly did. So Ruby tells Stan that they're reopening the club and this is their new way out. They've had 600 new ways out. And then he asked, Well, is it a done deal? She said, Yeah. Of course, the next day, Stan has a change of heart. And he um, I don't want to trap Beth. He's like, I don't want to do this anymore. Because obviously, taking care of Beth, taking Beth down, takes Ruby down. And they're like, Well, yeah, we'll talk about it at the next meeting. Translation. Fuck you. Oh, because at the beginning, when they're doing their little conversation, they were like, Oh, yeah, we have a whole area for you to work. And Stan was like, Yeah, miss with that bullshit. We're not doing that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, also because he already handed over, you know, logs and stuff from the phone. And now he's like, shit, like, I had to, I had to go through Ruby to implicate Beth. But now implicating Beth means implicating Ruby.
SPEAKER_02My what Ruby. Annie comes home and Kevin is there. He fixed a lot. He's cooking dinner. She's like, what happened to Angela? He's like, yeah, she's not really good roommate material. Plus, you know, no one ever really, no one has ever needed me. I was like, oh, but she's like, but what it was, like, she's a hoarder of rotisserie chicken. Like she'll eat the same chicken like for a week. I was like, oh, okay, that's sweet. You just want to be protective of Annie. But I got that. They're still together though, right? Him and Angela. I didn't know.
SPEAKER_01But just he didn't want to live there.
SPEAKER_02Live there. That's what I got, but I wasn't sure. I was like, hmm. Nick tells Beth that she handled herself pretty damn well regarding the whole club thing. And she tells him, I'm gonna run for city council. And when he asked who changed her mind, she says, You did.
SPEAKER_00You, you, I was waiting for it.
SPEAKER_01But you get, but right before she answers him about my favorite part.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, it cuts to a flashback of her reviewing all the information that Agent Hot Mess gave her, like what was in the folder, the you know, like connecting the dots from Rio, aka cousin brother, yes, Nick. But there's also um another scene when I mean you you touched on it when Rio was trying to give Nick pointers on how to get her to run for pulling her hair.
SPEAKER_00And here we yes, my second favorite scene.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but then um Rio makes a comment about Nick saying, like, you you always you always want what I have. Oh, that's right. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like, mm-hmm, exactly.
SPEAKER_02I think he said he you always wanted what I had. Like whether, like, like once I'm done with it, you want it. Whatever the case. I think that's I think that was more poor.
SPEAKER_01I didn't I didn't even take it like that. I just took it as like real, whatever Rio had something, has, had, wants, whatever. Nick is trying to take it.
SPEAKER_02Take it. Because he wants to be real, but he thinks his. He tried to portrays himself as being better than Rio.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02But he still wants Rio has because he's jealous of him. Like, God, how can he have something that I haven't had? Right. She leaves him a bottle as a thank you. He re-gifts that bottle to Rio with the note saying, thank you for pulling her hair. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00What?
SPEAKER_02These brother cousins, if that's love, I don't want I don't need him. I don't need enemies like that. Because the way they go at it with each other, yeah, we got issues.
SPEAKER_01And Rio is like, he's staring at the bottle, he's like, pour it out.
SPEAKER_02What a waste. So that is the end of this episode and this episode only. Um, I still don't believe I did that. I was so slow and so stupid.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I thought it was me. I don't know. No, it was where I was watching.
SPEAKER_02It was definitely Agnes. I had a moment. Yeah. How do you Yeah, okay. And the fact that I actually said to myself, wow, this episode was kind of longish.
SPEAKER_01Thoughts, questions, comments, concerns? No. Okay. I love the fact that when they reopen the strip club that they make the women they include them in it, you know, the new ownership and like the partnership. And I was thinking, what a great idea in general.
SPEAKER_02But then I was like, hmm, but is it also for their uh like I don't want to say safety, but yeah, you have to kinda put a mask and cover things up a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. To to cook the books a little bit. But that's not the right term either. But yeah.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, no, yeah, kinda yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. And the whole cult MLM thing, especially like you see the guy because you see him training or coaching those little kids, and they're like, you know, yeah, take them down, and you're like, ew, so sleazy. Yeah. I don't know. I I don't like him. I don't think I have anything else for this episode. I guess it's just like, you know, we're getting closer to the end. Agent Hunt Mess and DL Dave are back. Who knows? Fitz may be back soon. You never know.
SPEAKER_02Not mad at it. No, not at all. I don't have anything to say except that I'm a dumbass. And I I'm slightly ahead though, at least. Um I'm not behind. As per usual. The next episode is I don't know what I'm talking about. Episode 14. Thank you for your support. And apparently, this is a really good episode. Allegedly. That's all I've heard. Okay. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Such an asshole. I guess we'll see you back here for that. Until next time, text us your hot takes for this episode and what you think was like the biggest oops in this episode. SPEAKER_02Good. I already saw. I just realized our intro has changed. Oh, has it? Yes. Because you used to say this is a watch rewatch where we talk about that, and I say I used to add, and drink a lot. Remember? You want to go back to that?
SPEAKER_01If we could remember it, I was like, take two.
SPEAKER_02I never got that. But boomer in the web.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, duh.
SPEAKER_02How many people does it take to fake a director's thing?
SPEAKER_01I can't even remember how I started just 10 minutes ago.
SPEAKER_02Me neither. I had shared the link, our podcast with a coworker. And she was like, Oh my god, it's so cute the way you guys started. And I'm like, what are you talking about? She goes, and she gives it to me like almost word for word. I was just like, oh shit, that's right. Oh, because she was the one who the the old one. Yeah, she was starting from the beginning. Oh. And I was just like, oh shit, that's right. When did we stop doing that? Was it the end of was it like into season two? Did we stop doing that in the middle of Lost?
SPEAKER_01I have no idea now.
SPEAKER_02Our listeners, tell us when we fucked up. Tell us when we started slipping. We would stop drinking. Yeah. Fucking adulting sucks. Seriously. Okay, let's go back to the episode. I'm sorry. Lord have mercy.
