Hey everyone. This is an addendum to House of the Rising Sun. And we just wanted to update you on the end of that story with the package.

So it's um it's a happy ending, you know, or it's a little boring. Or boring ending as my wonderful friend here, you know, because I didn't get stabbed or anything.

Hey, I'm not the only one. So continue with the story so everyone knows I'm not the only one that felt this way.

Yes, because my husband was also on the phone and he he was hoping for a more exciting ending as well. So I I'm I feel very loved. You are so after we finished, I went back over there and all the lights were still on, but I didn't see anybody in the window. I felt like a stalker. I was kind of peeking in the window, seeing if I saw an adult, but there was none. So I waited a couple of minutes. I didn't see any adults, so I went back home and I got my neighbor to ask her if she would take a walk with me before I knocked.

Meanwhile, I'm on the phone with her, so she has, you know, a buddy and a half escorting her to this woman's house.

My neighbor agreed to take a walk with me, and as soon as we came out of her house, because she lives a couple doors down from me. The woman whose package it was was standing outside my house with her adult son, and she told me that she was there for the package, and I tried to explain to her that I was just at her house, and she seemed to be baffled because her and her adult son were both home at the time, but where the fuck were they? Why didn't either one of them hear me in the house, knocking on the door, having a conversation with her son trying to ask for an adult, yelling up the stairs, and the kid running back and forth making funny noises. Where where were they when this was going on? Now I I don't even think I can publish the text messages of these two fucks.

So, right, we have to explain that be like in an interim, you had called your husband. Right. And that we've known each other for like 20 plus odd years. So don't think it's weird. We all know each other for a long time, for the people listening out there. So she's on the phone with her husband with three way talking, and he's like, Yeah, no, he wasn't no parts of it. Well, beforehand, we don't know that you told him, like, yeah. He's like, No one, no parts of it. Good luck, don't die.

Well, I called him to see if he was getting home soon because then I would I wanted him to take the walk, and he's like, nah, bitch, you're on your own. He said that's a you problem.

So at least when we dropped this conversation with her neighbors, her husband masked, he did, he did like a mass text with us, and since I'm just on the phone, not doing anything, I'm giving him the blow by blow of what's going on. So he's like, you she he has to be real live. He cares. There was that love. He wouldn't know if you were alive or not.

But yeah, you can't despite the disappointment.

But well, if I die, he's out of a babysitter, so I guess I'm missing.

But I have a question. I didn't quite understand it. How did she end up at your house? Does she know that you got the she like how did that happen?

So when they were standing there, the the adult son had his phone out, and he had it to prove that it was his box. And she said, Look, I'm sorry, he wrote the wrong address, and he was he had his phone ready to show me that it was his box, but with my address. And I wasn't really contesting it because you know my fucking box, but right, gotcha. You know the thing is that we saw that with you had a package delivered.

They're like, um no, I don't have the package delivered, and that's when he's like, Oh wait, I have the wrong address. Right. Then we walk over to the correct address. Okay. Exactly. So I was a little confused as that. I was like, what in the world?

Yeah. Well, our addresses are very similar.

So this happens a lot, where usually I get their stuff, not the other way around. It it's common. That's that's exactly how I know her.

Because the packages the packages, yeah. I actually that's how okay, so I was up in New York. I grew up up born and raised in New York, and I can tell you that I lived in like I lived in my addresses for like decades. And I don't know, I've never known any of my neighbors. Like maybe one or two that you get to know, but as a whole, I'm like, I don't know who my neighbors are. I moved out of state, and this is now a place where the protest late, like, hey, how's it going? How's so and so? I'm like, uh what? I still know maybe two of my neighbors because you know, situations, because of mail, situations. Because of the mailbox, because of the mail, packages not being delivered, hey, your package delivered to my box, things of that nature. And I'm quite all right with not knowing my neighbors in depth. I'm okay with that.

I always felt the same, but where I live now, my block is very insulated. I I live off of a busy street, and so there's not there's a lot of stores, restaurants, things like that. Um, but my block itself is kind of separate.

It's like the hogworks. Like you go through, like you don't even know that that street is that little side street is there. And I know where you live. I'm still like, what the hell, dude?

It's still and so and so we're just very insulated, you know, the rest of society, quote unquote outside world.

I had one neighbor, and I wish he hadn't moved him, his family really nice. It got to the point when either one of us will grill or barbecue or whatever, the other would bring plates over. Um, sometimes the winter is snowed really heavy, he'll come around and shovel my backyard, my walkway, my backyard. You know. Um, my neighbor now though, the front yard has a shared walkway. So it's kind of understood that if you take turns, they won't do it at all. So I stopped shuffling the front. I'm like, whatever. I I don't. I tell my like I get package delivered every month, like my UPS guy, and I tell him in the winter, he knows in the windshoot just leave it either if he supposed to just come out the back, because I'm not sure the front. He's like, I mean so I'm being petty saying that now because it's snowing here now. So that just kind of popped in my head.

It's a little flirty. It snowed overnight to the point where by the time the sun comes up, it's like it's melted, you know. And I have yet to winterize my garden. It's not too late, is it?

I should. I'm supposed to do it before the first cold, before the first f you know, but I think I might be okay if I do it now. I think.
