Original episode air date: 2/9/05
In this episode: Do blonde's really have more fun?, tv show tangents, dropping panties, and the return of the make believe peanut butter.
In other news, Lisa has trouble remember the simple things and dehydration makes Agnes silly. Or maybe it's the beer.

Hey listener, listen here. Just wanted to give a brief intro about this episode. This episode was actually recorded a couple of weeks ago. And right now, in light of everything going on across the country and across the world, most of us are in quarantine, myself included. Just wanted to let you all know that we're feeling okay and we are hanging in there, we are doing the best that we can. We hope you are too. I know it's hard being stuck at home sometimes, and if you need anyone to talk to, feel free to reach out. We are a community. We want you to know that we are here for you, and we hope that you are doing the best that you can under the circumstances. Thank you so much for listening.
unknownOver here!

SPEAKER_02Maybe we're not drunk enough. Okay, I'm ready. I'm ready. I swear I'm ready.
SPEAKER_01I'm Lisa.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what's wrong with this is so funny. Maybe you should go back to being Agnes. Have a sip. Okay, I'm good. Dehydration must have made me silly. I don't know what it is.
SPEAKER_01Sure, dehydration.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'm good. I'm actually good now. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Let's focus. I'm Lisa.
SPEAKER_03And I'm Agnes.
SPEAKER_01And we are your hosts. How are you today?
SPEAKER_02I don't even know. Oh, I'm a little silly today.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_03What's got you so silly? I think that's genetics.
SPEAKER_01Um what's helping you feel so silly?
SPEAKER_03What's up? I I should have just keep keeping it simple with my Stella today. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01I have another Guinness. There's still more in the fridge.
SPEAKER_03I want a Guinness right about now, too. Have you done anything special with your Guinnesses? Are you just drinking are you have any special mixes?
SPEAKER_01No. It's just Guinness blondes, and I'm a blonde, so and blondes have more fun. Do they really, Lisa?
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I've had a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_01Hey everyone, Lisa here. I want to take a moment to tell you about this really cool travel backpack that I got. It's made by Muslim, and it's so cool. As you know, Agnes and I are not in the same state. So we travel to see each other quite frequently. This backpack makes it so easy to do so. The bag has space for everything. Trust me when I say you'll love it. So this week's episode is homecoming and it focuses on Charlie.
SPEAKER_03I still think Claire looks different since she's been back from her kidnapping escapade.
SPEAKER_01What do you think?
SPEAKER_03Something is different. I don't know. I feel like her hair is longer or something. She just doesn't. I mean, she obviously she looks it's the same person. It just looks something by her is different. And I can't place it. I don't know. Weird. Maybe it's just like I don't know what it is. Maybe they have a little bit more focus on her, so her lighting is different. There's something different. And it's buggy the fuck out of me.
SPEAKER_01So this episode focuses on days 27 through 29. So I'll do the flashbacks and then we'll do the on island stuff. In flashback, Charlie and his friend Tommy use heroin and discover that they are running low on money. In a bar, Tommy points toward a girl named Lucy and tells Charlie that her father is rich. Charlie walks over and makes conversation with Lucy. Later, Charlie wanders through Lucy's home. Lucy shows him a cigarette case that was once owned by Winston Churchill. Over dinner, Charlie tells Lucy's father that he once was part of a band, but Drive Shaft now is dead. And it seems like Charlie begins to like Lucy. Although he cons her and her father. When Charlie and Lucy are speaking, Lucy tells him that her father is often slow to buy a paper company. Did you hear that part? Uh-huh. No, like it's just another office reference.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, I probably it confused.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it it's for from the because the office started in the UK.
SPEAKER_03Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01Charlie tells Tommy that he has taken a job working for Lucy's father selling copy machines. Tommy reminds Charlie of their addiction and assures him that he would not survive a whole week without some fix. Charlie eventually gives in to his addiction, stealing the cigarette case that belonged to Churchill. And rather than slipping away from the job and getting his fix, Lucy gives him a briefcase and insists on driving him to his job. His plans to become respectable backfire as he suffers withdrawal symptoms. On his first day of work, he passes out after throwing up under the lid of one of the store photocopiers. That was gross. Who throws up in a fucking copy machine?
SPEAKER_03It was both but funny at the same time. But anyway.
SPEAKER_01When Charlie goes to see Lucy to explain, she refuses to hear his explanation and informs him she knows about his con because the cigarette case was found in his jacket. Before closing the door in his face, she tells Charlie he will never take care of anyone. On the island, day 27.
SPEAKER_03About that con.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_03So I I'm just curious because it looks like from the point she met him, from when she met him at the bar to she brought him home to meet her father the next day, it was like no time at all. It was like, hey, I met you at the bar, here's my dad. All of them for the job. How do you get your feelings hurt when you really didn't know the fuck you brought home a complete stranger? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01It had it had to be what, all of one weekend? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't know. Oh, I have no sympathy, but go ahead.
SPEAKER_01On the island day 27, Charlie awakens to see Locke carrying Claire to Jack. Claire wakes up and panics, asking, Who are you people? The last thing Claire claims to remember is the flight from Sydney almost a month ago. Jack fills her in on the events since the crash. Sun and Jin watch from the sidelines, and Jin wonders if the baby is okay. Sun looks thoughtful and says she's sure the baby is fine. Charlie hands Claire her diary, saying he hopes it will help Claire remember what happened to her. When he tells her about the day they were taken by Ethan, she asks him who Ethan is. Charlie says Ethan is the bad guy. When Charlie suggests they stay awake together, Claire asks if they are friends. Charlie responds that they are. Day 28. Jack, Locke, Said, and Charlie discuss the chances of Claire's memory returning. In the jungle, Charlie meets Jin and they walk together. Did you ever watch Arrested Development? No. That's what this reminded me of. When he sees Jin and he's like, Anyang? Anyang means hello. But in Arrested Development, they have like this foreign exchange kid. The family is a bunch of fucking idiots. It's actually really funny. But the kid keeps saying Anyang to say hello, but they think that that's his name.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01So they so it's just or they just call him Anyoung, and then every time they call him Anyang, he's like Anyang. Forget it. It's funny if you watch it. I'm I'm doing it a disservice. As Charlie is sarcastically talking to Jin about how great it must be for him to not be involved with anything happening on the island, they hear something whooshing through the trees, and Jin is knocked out by a rock. Ethan confronts Charlie, telling him he wants Charlie to bring Claire back. Charlie tries to attack him, but Ethan grabs him by the neck, threatening to kill one castaway every day until he gets Claire back. And after he kills them all, he will come for Charlie last. Charlie tells Jack and Locke about Ethan's threat and suggests they all go after him and kill him.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so remember the couple episodes, and we were curious as to whether Jack's and Ethan's experience was real or not.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03So based on this, you're like, okay, that was definitely real. I just think he's like a ninja. And he gets left before Kate can get down there safely. But I'm like, um, yeah, I think that happened. And dude, yes. Yeah. Really don't understand why. Okay, Claire's back. That doesn't mean the danger has gone. Like, they still like, okay, everything's great now. Claire's back. Live a life. Yeah, no, Mofo. Like, they just forget that there's something out there. And they're just like dumb as doornails sometimes. I'm watching them like, please tell me the reality kicks them in the head before it's too late. But yeah.
SPEAKER_01I have a note about the Ethan scene, but I'll get to it in a few. Locke says they should start thinking about defense. Defense. He makes four booby traps around the perimeter and puts some of the survivors on guard duty during the night. Boone volunteers to take the first shift. Fucking boon.
SPEAKER_03So wait, did you see Said's look like really?
SPEAKER_01And Locke, Locke is like, you're gonna do you got it.
SPEAKER_03Like Boone's face was like, oh, that look of all validation. I was like, oh god.
SPEAKER_01Okay, obviously Locke uh Boone has some daddy issues he's working through right there. You think? Oh my god. And Locke is like, Boone wrapped around my little finger. You got it, buddy. You got it. You're gonna do a great job.
SPEAKER_03My man Locke, he's a genius. He has a plan.
SPEAKER_01And Boone fucked it up almost immediately.
SPEAKER_03Right? No, I was like, not surprised.
SPEAKER_01Like you only give Boone a job if you want him to fuck it up. If that's the point.
SPEAKER_03If you want to fuck up, ask Boone.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03And he definitely takes that fuck upness of him. He takes that on Shannon. Like he he wants to blame her for everything. I said that like the first two episodes. Like he's so insecure and a fuck-up. He wants to make himself feel like he's a big man by talking shit to Shannon. I don't blame Shannon for manipulating him. He's a wuss. And he's an angry man about angry because he's a wuss. Damn it.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Meanwhile, Sun takes care of Jin's wounds and asks him if everything is alright. Jin says he was attacked because of what the others had done. Claire is uncomfortable about what is going on around her and feels like the other survivors are avoiding her. Charlie lies and assures her there isn't anything going on. So nobody has told her anything about her being kidnapped, anything.
SPEAKER_03And that's pissing me the fuck off. Like what I do know is fucked up enough. Not telling me something, I can't, and you know there's something going on. Like, the misogyny knows no bounds in this fucking show. I'm sorry. I'm gonna say it several times. So maybe they should fragile to take with to take the truth.
SPEAKER_01Change the name to Misogyny Island? Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes. My intellect becomes greater as this episode progresses. Like I was like literally cursing at the TV.
SPEAKER_01Well, wait, we're gonna get hold on. Gideo! We're gonna get a good example of the opposite. Hold on. After another episode of misogyny. That night, Lak Saeed and other survivors stand guard. Boone falls asleep during his shift. The next day he wakes up after he hears a sprung booby trap. He rushes to see who has triggered the alarm and hears a rustling noise from the tree line. He runs toward the noise but falls. And then you fall? Fucking idiot.
SPEAKER_03He fall he falls hard. Like damn. Like you can feel an idiot.
SPEAKER_00Jump.
SPEAKER_01It is discovered it was only Vincent who tripped it. But Boon, Saeed, and Locke hear screaming and return to the beach to find that Scott had been murdered. And even though Scott has been murdered, they still throw in the Scott Steve joke. You haven't picked on up on that yet?
SPEAKER_03I know that Hurley keeps getting his name wrong, so Scott Steve, it's because it's the S.
SPEAKER_01His neck, both arms, and all the bones in his fingers had been broken. According to Locke, Ethan had probably come in from the ocean. After the burying ceremony, Claire finds out from Shannon why everyone is avoiding her. She yells at Charlie, Charlie, who says he only wanted to take care of her. She responds that she takes care of herself. Is that what you were doing when you got kidnapped? Just saying. I mean I'm just being a dick. I just like I was like, Poor Charlie. He just means well. I'm sorry, but Charlie was never a favorite, and Charlie does some fucked up shit. But really, I think Charlie just wants to like.
SPEAKER_03He wants to do good. Like, I don't, I no matter what Charlie has done, there's still a part about him that's likable. And there's still something childlike and innocent about him. And I get maybe one person, let's say, because Charlie really likes her, he has feelings for her. And that might be his misguided way of protecting her. But all the survivors, don't no one tells her. The odds that no one's telling you. Like, I think part of it is people like, okay, they're they're afraid. I get it. But I think it was a general consensus between like the core cast, we can't tell her because we're gonna protect her. Mofo, what the hell? I made them like this far. Like, that's just sumptuous that she's as a pregnant woman can't take news. Like Yeah, I yeah, I want to smack him.
SPEAKER_01Jack decides it's time to reveal he has guns. He first shares them with Locke. With the guns from the briefcase and Claire as willing bait, Jack, Locke, Saeed, and Sawyer set a trap. Okay, wait. Let's go. Are you raising your hand?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yes?
SPEAKER_01Yes, Agnes?
SPEAKER_03Yes. What the fuck makes Jack the keeper of the key? Like it just uh Okay, I don't like Jack. He can do no right right now. Like he has his mom, so I might agree with him, but as a whole, I hate him. I don't like him. But go ahead. Yes, you were saying something.
SPEAKER_01So all I was gonna say is that I think that in comparison to previous episodes, we see much more alignment with the plan. Like they disagreed at first over the plan, but then they were like, okay, well, we're gonna we're gonna do the sentry, we're not gonna run off into the jungle, we're gonna do sentry duty. And then when that obviously didn't work, then they resorted to the guns, which was the second idea, and they went with it. But there was very little in infighting amongst the survivors, like in previous episodes, when it was like there was more fighting about whether to live at the beach or the caves. They they discussed that more than hey, we should get guns.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I gotta agree with you on that one. When they talk about who's getting the guns, this is when I start yelling at the TV.
SPEAKER_01I'm about to read that right now. With the guns from the briefcase and Clara's willing bait, Jack locks Said and Sawyer set a trap. Charlie wants to take part, but when John asks Charlie if he's ever fired a weapon, Charlie does not respond. Of course, Kate wants to come, because you know, they're hiking into the fucking jungle and she never misses an opportunity. But Jack explains they are out of guns. Sawyer gives her the gun he found on the marshal's body, you know, from back in the old days, and says five guns are better than four. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so you had Jack. Other than I don't know, maybe skeet shooting at the country club, has he found a fucking gun before? But he's gonna pick Sawyer, who missed a guy shooting point blank.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but as as Sawyer reminded, there's one polar bear who seems to think that Sawyer can shoot.
SPEAKER_03Well, the shit the bear is like a like, come on, you can't miss the fucking bear. But the guy point blank, he gives him the gun. And Kate, who obviously has skills using the weapons.
SPEAKER_01Oh, but wait, but remember, according to Kate, how do you work one of these things?
SPEAKER_03But he already knows her history. Jack knows her history.
SPEAKER_01I don't think he does.
SPEAKER_03Oh Jack didn't tell me that didn't she tell him that her father's in the military? Like the father's in the military. She's she's able to track. Like there's okay, not knowing her history, there's nothing he does know.
SPEAKER_01And according to her, she killed a man. Right. But she doesn't say she shot him.
SPEAKER_03I just think he is he's his ego is bruised. Because he sees this chemistry between her and Sawyer, and he's taken out of her. Like from the big like he has his moments of his bruised ego where he's like, he wants to minimize who she is, and it pisses me off. Like this scene had me cursing.
SPEAKER_01And I think that this is another example of him just trying to be like protector or just um, I guess misogynist, you know, and just I must say it once upset it a hundred times.
SPEAKER_03The misogyny knows no bounds. And I and the fact that Sawyer had her back.
SPEAKER_01Sawyer's like equal rights, ma'am.
SPEAKER_03Like I like if the lady wants to for him to be such a dick, he has more respect for her as a person than Jack does. Jack is Jack is very condescending.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I don't think Jack means to be condescending.
SPEAKER_03I think he means Don't make an excuse for his misogyny.
SPEAKER_01That's that's Listen. I'm not trying to make it okay. I'm just saying that I think that Jack is coming from a place where he's trying to be a good person and it's coming off really shitty. Because the outcome of what he thinks is a good deed by keeping Kate behind because he's protecting her, it's coming off as you're condescending to her. She can handle herself, and maybe, just maybe, he's not thinking about the fifth gun, and he's saying maybe Sawyer would be better than Kate.
SPEAKER_03I that's that's the same thing as saying the nice guy. I'm the nice guy, so drop your panties for me. Guess what? You're not the nice guy if. You just what gets in my panties. You're not being the nice guy. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01If Sawyer and Jack both asked me to drop my panties, I think you already know which one they would be dropping for. But I'm just gonna leave it at that. So yes.
SPEAKER_03The s the the group of hunters have been chosen.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Okay, so the Claire bait troop is off into the jungle. Saida instructs everyone and says they want to capture Ethan alive so that they can interrogate him and possibly get some information. In the jungle, the five of them hide in trees while Claire stands on the path, waiting for Ethan to arrive. Ethan finally shows up and starts to chase Claire. First of all, why did it even get to the point where they have to have Claire running away from him? If they were all within sight line, how did they not see Ethan coming? How did they not just shoot him in the fucking knee?
SPEAKER_03Because that would have been the end of the scene.
SPEAKER_01Alright, alright, alright. Because the writers didn't say so, I know. Jack tackles Ethan and they fight. Jack drops his gun but gains the upper hand and holds Ethan to the ground. Suddenly, a vengeful Charlie shoots Ethan in the chest and kills him using the gun Jack had dropped. Okay. So much in here. Number one. Very much. Jack gets his fucking revenge.
SPEAKER_03You're right. I noticed that. Like he humbled, dude. And that was, I think that was him and his ego. That was that he's like, alright, you got me last time. I'm fucking you up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But once again, how is it that Jack and Ethan are fighting? Where the fuck is everybody else? Once again, Jack is on his own fighting with him, and everyone else is just in the tree still? Like that's what happened.
SPEAKER_03What? Like Okay, so you notice how Ethan, like when before they knew he was, you know, with OJ the passenger, how unassuming he was? And now that they know who he is, how creepy he is. Like he could have like he's creepy as fuck. He's a really good actor. Actor, right? That's phenomenal skills.
SPEAKER_01Like I don't know the actor's name, but uh William Maypother.
SPEAKER_03Okay, that sounds good. But yeah, that was phenomenal. I was like, yay, good job. Because this could be this guy got me feeling like a little, like, ooh, I got chills on my spine. Like, ooh, he's creepy. Good job.
SPEAKER_01Jack, Jack tackles him and the gun falls. Charlie gets it, but like, and then he shoots him, like, what, six times?
SPEAKER_03Something like that.
SPEAKER_01And so he goes to get up and Sawyer holds the gun on him and he's like, oh, I forgot what he says. Something like, uh-uh-uh, jungle boy. Not even for a minute.
SPEAKER_03He is listening. He's he's good with the line, the one-liner.
SPEAKER_01And then here comes Charlie. Bang, bang, bang. Ethan's dead. The next day, when Jack asks Charlie why he did it, Charlie tells him that Ethan deserved to die. And that he was not going to let that animal anywhere near Claire again. I think this is him trying to make up for the fact that she got kidnapped when she was with him and that he obviously cares for her. And he just he just let his emotions get the better of him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I can see how you could just go off emotions and yeah. And to be fair, I think Block said it a thing. Like, dude isn't he wasn't gonna say anything. You wanna keep him for questioning? He's obviously got some kind of crazy mascales, and he really wasn't gonna say anything.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Claire comes to Charlie and tells him she remembers peanut butter. Charlie corrects her saying that it was actually imaginary peanut butter. She tells Charlie that she doesn't know what happened to her and she's scared, but she wants to trust him. They wish each other a good night. That's the end of the episode. This backstory for Charlie is not much different than the last one we saw. Yeah. It's Charlie being crippled by his addiction. Yeah. And no matter how good he wants to be, that's the monkey on his back. In in his past, it's always been the thing that's fucked him over. The drugs have ruined his band. They ruined what three-day relationship he had with Lucy. They even actually, in a sense, led to maybe what he views as Claire being kidnapped because when she thought she was in labor and he let it slip about the drugs, she didn't want him to be near her. Right. But this is almost his way of redeeming himself because now that he's clean, he was able to maybe how he feels take care of business.
SPEAKER_03I concur. So is my cat.
SPEAKER_01In the flashback, when they were talking about the copier, the model number of the copier is a C815.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm not paying that much attention to it. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01We also get a little tidbit about Locke. When Jack asks Locke if he can handle a gun, Loc takes the gun and obviously can handle one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But it's funny, Locke would have been my first choice anyway. Like, you know, based on yeah, like, yeah, go ahead. He's a hunter. He knows I'm sure he knows he's the gun too.
SPEAKER_01Even if he didn't have gun skills, Locke has proven himself to be an asset in terms of hunting and tracking and strategy and Right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because he would have been like, here, here's a gun. Like Right.
SPEAKER_01Or hey, motherfucker, here's a knife.
SPEAKER_03I mean Here's whatever. You get it, whatever you want, you rehab.
SPEAKER_01The title of this episode is Homecoming.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01So aside from Claire returning quote unquote home to her people, did you catch any other meanings?
SPEAKER_03When Vincent came back.
SPEAKER_01I was like the wandering dog.
SPEAKER_03I was very excited about that. Yeah, no. Sorry. Done. I'm yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, me either. Okay. As far as characters, we got more about Charlie. Anything stand out to you about Charlie or anything, any revelation going forward? How do you how are you feeling about Charlie after seeing another flashback of his?
SPEAKER_03I think I said earlier, I still I he's still likable. He has a childlike innocence to him. He's not malicious. He's I mean, he has his own issues. And I think the issues cause bad outcomes, but at the same time, he doesn't exactly with the sub you know stealing the cigarette case, he doesn't take out his issues on other people. So he still feels like he's kind of his his own doing, and I kind of he's still likable.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, I agree. I agree. Next week's episode is called Outlaws. If you didn't know who it was about, what would have been your guess?
SPEAKER_03Sawyer popped in my head automatically.
SPEAKER_01I'm surprised Kate. I'm surprised Kate didn't pop in your head. It just had a Kate once.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think they'll do Kate that soon again. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Alright, be logical about it. Okay, so in anticipation to a Sawyer episode, any other thoughts on Sawyer? Especially after seeing his feminist attitude.
SPEAKER_03I still like him. I don't give a fuck how bad he is, supposedly, how much of a dick he is. I still like him. Okay. He's a dick, but he does things intentionally to push people away, but I still like him.
SPEAKER_02Alright.
SPEAKER_03Because those little brief moments when he's vulnerable with Kate, slightly vulnerable, gotta actually look in between the lines. He has tender moments. Tinder-ish moments.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Next I next week's episode with him is is a good one. Let's do trivia. So this is the first time since White Rabbit that all cast members appear.
SPEAKER_03Ah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And Damon Lindelof, who's a writer, at one point admitted this was his least favorite episode of the entire series. I don't think it was that bad. I just think that honestly, and and I don't know if this might be a spoiler or anything for you, but I just think that first of all, I don't think this is the worst episode of the entire series.
SPEAKER_03No, I think it's pretty good.
SPEAKER_01I think that Charlie episodes in general just don't hold as much water as some of the other episodes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I concur.
SPEAKER_01We only have two so far. Um, and I definitely think that some are better than others, but I think that in comparison to some of the other survivors, they're just not as good. And it's not because of the actors, it's the storyline of the character.
SPEAKER_03It can only be so much. Like not everyone can be a Jar Loc.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, and there's I'm not even gonna tell you anything, but I'm just gonna tell you that there is so much there. And we're almost like John? Yeah. Didn't I tell you from episode one, scene one? That's my man. You hi Terry. You have no idea how deep that rabbit hole goes. And we are actually we are almost at another lock episode.
SPEAKER_03Yay! I hope Terry listens to this. But I mean the odds are like a quatrillion to one. But hi Terry. Got a crush.
SPEAKER_01Anything else before oh, and of course, Charlie mentions his band in this episode because he's in a band of the episode without his band. Anything else before we go?
SPEAKER_03So today I'm a little late. I won't watch the series finale of The Good Place. But there was one line that never would have gotten if I didn't watch this, if I didn't watch Lost. I'm like, oh so Okay, what was the line?
SPEAKER_01Is it gonna ruin something for me?
SPEAKER_03No, it's not really.
SPEAKER_01Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03So Eleanor tells Chidi to give her a John Locke quote or something like that. I was like.
SPEAKER_01But you okay, you do know that John Locke in history is like a famous philosopher, right?
SPEAKER_03Yes, he is. Okay. But at the same time, I took took it to be because I know John Locke as a philosopher also, like John Locke also, this John Locke still would have fit in the scenario.
SPEAKER_01Lost is really cheeky when it comes to names.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I I see that now. That's like everything kind of like rolls back to lost. Like I was like, I got it on so many different levels. Like the character's name to begin with, and I was like, oh, oh. Like I don't think I would appreciate that line as much as I did if I didn't if I haven't if I haven't been watching La Lost.
SPEAKER_01I mean, we're still in the first season, but you're gonna see some characters and you're gonna get names and you're gonna be like, really? Really?
SPEAKER_03Like the writers and picking his name. It was just like yeah.
SPEAKER_01And nobody even addresses it, so it's not even like something, you know, that they I I don't even know how to phrase it, but it's like you've got John Locke, you've got Christian Shepherd.
SPEAKER_03I mean Who's Christian Shepard? Jack's dad. Oh, right! I didn't remember. And he's a doctor. I've never paid attention to his father's name. I was like, Okay, oh.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so let's go. Jack Shepherd and he shepherds the people.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I don't know. I don't know. No, we haven't got that one yet.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying to think who else has uh I don't think anybody else has yeah, no. Like as far as the characters that you know, so far it's really only Jack and Christian and Locke that have cheeky names.
SPEAKER_03Nah, I'm gonna pay attention to the show now.
SPEAKER_01Shit Girl, if you weren't before.
SPEAKER_03I'm not oh I could just cheat in Wikipedia.
SPEAKER_01No, you're not. I strongly urge you not to Google anything about this show because you will ruin everything in a few.
SPEAKER_03But I wouldn't though. I wouldn't because I don't like the surprises to be ruined. I don't like that. So I wouldn't.
SPEAKER_01There are a lot of really interesting fan theories, and one of which I hadn't heard until um we started doing this, and I was looking at some stuff, and I was like, wow, I'd never considered that before, but holy shit, it makes sense. And of course, I can't tell you because it would ruin so much stuff.
SPEAKER_03I just hope as much as you holding back from me, you get that that much pain from keeping it in. Oh, yeah. Just so you know.
SPEAKER_01It's it's incredibly hurtful. I will tell you this the theory is about Vincent, but I cannot share it yet.
SPEAKER_03Now I'll try to like make up crazy shit in my head. Oh, I want to hear it.
SPEAKER_01I want to hear it.
SPEAKER_03No, I have to think about it.
SPEAKER_01I'll tell you one thing. If you manage to to come out with it, I'll tell you.
SPEAKER_03Okay, deal. So stay tuned for next week's episode and see if I win the big prize.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03Can I get Pringles and bagels if I win?
SPEAKER_01You can get anything you want.
SPEAKER_03Shit. I want a one-way trip ticket back home. That's what I want. You got it. As do the rest of the characters.
SPEAKER_01Before we wrap this up. No, let's just wrap it up.
SPEAKER_03Okay. You've done that to me a couple of times.
SPEAKER_01I'm no, I'm sorry. Alright. That'll do it for this week. Stay tuned next week for our next episode where we will be talking about outlaws and my favorite. One of my favorites. Sawyer.
SPEAKER_03Oh, she just had a moment here, people.
