Yeah, it's it's been, you know. I I'm still on the tail end of COVID. I'm talking funny because I am in the middle of some major dental work. Um anyway, today we're gonna talk about and and Agnes is sick, was sick, and then got sick again because she's a fucking overachiever. So she couldn't just be sick. No. She was I I had COVID, she was sick, and she was like, all right, well, you know what, I'll just be extra sick. My COVID was easier than her sick.

Because we're gonna put on our two days to watch it. It took me two days to watch it because I just wasn't because in and out of like the sleep, and I was just like, huh. Yeah, so my hot take is I finished it. Oh, oh, and there's one more. I wanted to watch the next episode. I was like, oh, okay. Okay, what happens next?

I went out yesterday because I had to do a couple of things. So I put them, I wore a mask like to protect my mouth. Uh-huh. And I forgot, like, you know, like this is the first. Remember, I had taken my my previous nose piercing out. I mean, I've had I've this isn't gonna be the fourth time now I've pierced my nose. So but during COVID, I didn't have it. So wearing a mask, it just kept yanking at the nose ring.

I was like, well, that's not fun.

I'll ask you. Well, Krista never took her nose rings out, so is it a stud or a hoop?

I have no idea, but maybe because it's I don't know, a stud that it kept catching on the on the mask.

I don't know. I don't know what the hell it is. It's not a hoop. But it's some kind of I don't know what the fuck it is. She always has a cover with makeup though, so she gets she puts her makeup on, she doesn't ever take doesn't take it out. It's just like my daughter has piercings and tattoos galore. Yeah, it's kind of cool.

On the island, fake Locke says he was hoping Jack would come, and he invites him to catch up. Jack tells Hurley it was his idea and asks if it's okay that he goes to talk to Locke. And then once he receives his approval, he goes. They sit in a log and he tells Fake Locke that he looks just like Locke. Jack says what bothers him most is that he has no idea what that is. And Fake Locke says he chose Locke's body because John Locke was stupid enough to think he was on the island for a reason, and he pursued the idea until it got him killed. Fake Locke says he needed his body, well he needed his dead body in order to look like him. Jack realizes that the man in black, Fake Locke, had also impersonated his own father, Christian Shepherd, and he says he did because they needed to be shown where water was located. He says he was only ever trying to help the survivors leave the island. But Jack had always been trapped because Jacob had chosen him. But since Jacob is now dead, he's no longer trapped, and he could fly away, but only if it's quote all of us. He says that John Locke was not a believer, but a sucker. On their way back to camp, he notices Claire following them. Jack and Claire greet each other, and they catch up. Claire says she never had much in the way of family, but it means a lot to her that Jack is coming with them as she knows that that's her brother. At the camp, Sawyer says to Hurley that they're going to use Charles Whidmore's sub to escape the island. And that since Said is now on the dark side, he's not invited. Fake luck addresses the camp saying how nice it is to have everyone back together again.

It was kind of nice though. Like as if you, you know, like the gangs looking together.

Mm-hmm. And then Zoe arrives to ask him to return what he has taken. Fake Lock says he doesn't know what she's talking about, and Zoe's like, okay, bomb him. Basically, they drop a bomb nearby to prove how powerful they are. And she says they have until nightfall to return what he took, and she leads him a radio, which he immediately smashes. He says to the camp that their hands have been forced by Whidmore and to gather their things so that they could go to Hydra Island and get on the plane. He gives Sawyer a rough map to get a boat, and then Sawyer asks Kate to go with him. But before they go, Sawyer pulls Jack aside and gives him a new plan, unbeknownst to anyone else, and fake luck tells Said to go kill Desmond. At the well, we see Desmond sitting in the bottom, like in water. Said points his gun and Desmond says, Well, before you kill me, at least tell me why. Saeed says that he was promised that he could get the woman that he loved back, even though she was dead. And Desmond says, What will you say to her when she asks what you had to do to be with her again? When Sawyer and Kay arrive at the coast, Kay has doubts, and Sawyer reveals his real plan. Kate wants to know why Claire isn't invited to come, and Sawyer says it's because Claire is crazy, she drank the Kool-Aid. Fake Lock, meanwhile, is leading his uh group towards the rendezvous point, and Claire tells Jack that she trusts fake Lock because he's the only one who didn't abandon her. Fake Lock drops back because he's concerned that Saeed hasn't joined them yet. He asks on if she saw Saeed, but she doesn't respond. But I guess he doesn't realize that she can't speak. So she writes a note, she writes a note and she says, You did this to me. He's like, I didn't do anything, whatever. And he walks away. He says he's gonna go find Saeed and he takes off. Jack takes that opportunity to gather her least son and Frank to fill them in on the new plan, but Claire sees and she follows them. Fake Lock finds Saeed and wonders why he took so long. Said says he just shot an unarmed man and that he needed a moment. Fake Lock asks if he killed Desmond and Said says he did, and says, You can go check if you don't believe me. Jack's group gets to the coast and he and arrives at the dock where the Elizabeth, the sailboat, is anchored. They join Kate and Sawyer and prepare to leave. Before they can, Claire comes out with a rifle, and Kate is like, oh no, cool, you're invited now. Um I came back to get you, and here I am, so you have a choice, you can come with us, or you can stay with Locke. Fake Loc. Sawyer's not happy, but Kate is like, it's okay, I got this. Claire joins, but says that when he finds out, he's going to be mad. They make their way to Hydra Island, and Sawyer tells Frank that the plan is to get in cozy with Whitmore and then take the sub. Frank is like, cool, I like that plan. Let me go get everyone food. Jack and Sawyer then have a little talk, and Jack tells him that he doesn't feel right leaving the island because last time when he did, he felt like a part of him was missing. He still believes that they're brought to the island to do something, and that if that thing wants them to leave, that it might be afraid of what would happen if they stay. Sawyer says, Okay, get off my boat. It's like that episode of Cheers where Sam is like to Diane, like it's so extreme, like to marry him, and she says no. And he's like, Well, get off my boat, and she's like, um, we're like in the harbor. He's like, get off my boat. You never saw that episode?

Uh anyway, Jack doubles down and is like, Leaving is a bad idea. And Sawyer says, Get off my boat. And Jack says, Well, I'm sorry, I had Juliet killed, and jumps off the boat into the water and swims back to shore. Kate is like, we have to go back. And Sawyer says, We're done going back. They arrive at Hydra, they swim ashore, and Woodmore's people confront them with guns. Zoe is like, no, it's okay, I know Sawyer. And Zoe requests that the fences be turned off. Just then, Jin arrives, he spots son, and they embrace each other. All of a sudden she could talk again. The one person nearby who could actually speak Korean and all of a sudden now she could speak English again.

That wasn't lost on me. I was like, okay.

She says she loves him, and he promises he promises her that they will never be apart again. Zoe radios Whidmore and tells the group to put their hands up and kneel down. Sawyer asks what it's about. Zoe says the deal is off and then asks Whitmore ha if and then asks Whidmore if he has a sight line on the man in black and orders to fire when ready. Back on the main island, Jack arrives on the beach where the man in black and others await. He makes light of the swim and confirms that Sawyer has taken his boat. Woodmore fires the mortar, and Jack and some of the others are thrown through the air. Fake Lock runs to Jack, who is down in the sand, and carries him inland just as another shell hits. He puts Jack down and says to him that he shouldn't worry because you're with me now. In the flash sideways, Loc is rushed to the hospital after being hit by Desmond. In the ambulance, the paramedic says to Ben that Locke is exhibiting no responses and no reflexes in his lower body. Ben is like, well, that's because he's a fucking paraplegic, you moron. He didn't say that, but like, you know. And he says, I don't know his first name, and I don't know who his next of kin is. And then that's when Locke wakes up to say, I'm gonna marry Helen. Oh, and my first name is John. Just as they arrived to the hospital, Son is also arriving. So, you know, not just was it a coincidence that Charlie was there, but now Claire has been there, Charlie was there, Kate was there with Claire, and now Son, oh, Saeed was there, and so now Son and Locke also arrive. She sees the gurney next to her, and you can see she's frightened, and she says to Jen in Korean, it's him, it's him. At the police station, James, cop James, asks a uniformed officer for a minute with Kate. He checks her file saying she doesn't strike him as a murderer, and she says that that's because she's not. He talks about the coincidence of them being on the same flight, and out of and then a week later, out of all the cars in Los Angeles, she smashes into his. She wants to know why he didn't arrest her at LAX, and she says, probably because you didn't want anyone to know what you were doing. And then she wants to know if she should tell the feds that. He shows James a surveillance camera, uh, still with the suspect, and it's Saeed. Next we go to Claire, still pregnant, who arrives at a building to see an adoption agency on the 15th floor. As she's signing in, Desmond arrives, reintroduces himself, and says, Hey, you should see a lawyer. It's like, hi, you don't know me. We've only met casually, but here I am again, and I think you should see a lawyer. For free, my treat.

Right. He's just going around fixing everything. He's like he's like um the I can't remember his lax, he's like Sam in Quantum Leap. Just fixing everything that needs to be fi.

SPEAKER_01 17:16

Um Claire is hesitant, because you know who wouldn't be. And he says, Listen, this is a tricky situation, and my lawyer owes me a favor. It won't cost you a cent. Just you know, just just talk to her. Claire agrees, and the lawyer happens to be Ilana. Ilana Verdansky. And she's like, wait, Claire? Claire Littleton from Australia? Why we've been waiting for you. And Claire has now just stepped into the Twilight Zone. Meanwhile, Saeed arrives back at Nadia's house and he's packing so that he can flee. The doorbell rings, and it's Miles. He identifies himself as LAPD. Nadia lets him in while Saeed thinks that he's escaping through the back door, except Sawyer's waiting for him and arrests him. Why do they always think they come in through the back door? Don't you know that they're already there? I mean, like I'm so not sticking up for like cops, but like, I guess you gotta try. Like they're always waiting for you at the other exit. Next we go to Jack, who's with his son David, and they also arrive at an office to have to hear Christian's will read. At the attorney's office, which lo and behold is also Alana, she greets them and says she has a surprise for them and she wants to know whether they believe in fate. The surprise is Claire waiting in the conference room. Jack asks how she knew his father, and Claire says uh he was my father too. Jack is speechless, but before he can really like you know get into the whole rabbit hole, he receives a call from the hospital and he says he has to reschedule. At the hospital, Son wakes up, she's worried about the baby, but Jin says that her and the baby will be fine. He says that it's over and they'll all be okay. Outside their room, Jack and David walk down the corridor and discuss Christian. David asks if his grandfather's secrecy was passed down to his son, and Jack laughs and says, probably. He then tells him to wait as he goes into surgery. A surgeon tells him of the patient's condition, noting that this man was already in a wheelchair. Jack notices that his dural sac has been obliterated, but thinks he has the situation under control. He's like, I got this. As he begins the operation, he sees Locke's reflection in the surgery in the mirror and is taken aback. The other doctor asks Jack what the problem is, and Jack says, I think I know this guy. If I didn't know that was Locke, I don't know if I would have recognized him.

Right, and it's got the the the tape for the I would not have recognized him. Yeah, like you saw that guy for what five minutes in the lost luggage? In Los Angeles was this four billion people. I don't know how many people live in Los Angeles.

I wouldn't have recognized myself, you know what I mean? I'm like, I I just thought the only one who thought that. I'm so glad you said something.

No, I'm like, that if if I didn't know that that was Locke after watching this show, after knowing who Terry O'Quinn was, I still and no one was on the table.

Let's start off with that. Like if you didn't know, if they even said, oh, if you didn't know that it was Terry O'Quinn, and you just they're like, I don't think I would have known it was Locke. You know, the only fact that I knew that it was Locke on the table, that's the only reason I recognized him.

This is also the first time in the entire series in which Claire leaves the main island. She's the only character, the only main character introduced in the pilot not to do so before. This is also the first time since season three that she has received any flash from her point of view. Jen and Sun have reunited after not being together for three years. Sawyer tells Kate that Claire can't come with them because she drank Locke's Kool-Aid, which is a reference to the cyanide lace drink taken by 900 followers of cult leader Jim Jones at the People's Temple in Jonestown, Guyana in 1978. Do you know what the difference between our new president and Jim Jones is?

The man in black asserts that John Locke was merely a sucker, not a believer. And when Ben eulogized him, he said that he was a believer. So I just thought that it's funny how we've gotten the two um sides of that, depending on who's referencing and it's funny because the men in black wanted to use Locke, of course he was a sucker.

He didn't need a believer. In his eyes, anyone who believed was a sucker, anyway. He just used it to his advantage. I think in his eyes, it's the same shit.

When Jack expresses doubt about life away from the island, Sawyer says that there's pill for that, pills for that. And as we know, when he left the island, he was addicted to pills. So I guess even the pills didn't help.

Well, he was taking the wrong pills, first of all. He wasn't taking the pills to help them deal with it. He was taking pills to help them to not deal with it. So there's that.

Okay, that's fair. On island, fake Locke is saving Jack's life from the incoming uh bombs. And off island, Jack is saving Locke's life in the hospital. When Sun and Locke both arrive at the hospital and she's like, it's him, it's him. What did you how did you interpret?
