The reason I don't know why it took me a good couple of minutes of watching it before it clicked. I don't know. Maybe because his death wasn't just last week, as far as last episode. Maybe just I don't know. Maybe loss has desensitized me towards shit.

Like we know they're going back and forth in time, so I'm like, oh my god, it's Rousseau. That's so cool. And then she's like, what's the name, Daniel? Daniel Rousseau.

And he's looking like what he must think he's in like some kind of crazy fever dream. He's like, they're like, Where's your ship? He's like, sink, it's sink, ship sink, or something. But like, could you imagine your gin? One the the last thing you remember is your pregnant wife getting on a chopper and you trying to run after it, and then all of a sudden, boom, boom, boom, and you wake up to these French people, not only French people, but then here's a woman that you're looking at, and she's that you knew 40 years ago 20 years younger.

You you are on a ship, your wife, your pregnant wife is on a chopper, boom, you're waking up on an island with the same person that you met, except it's 20 years earlier, and you're now back on the island. He he must just be uh I don't even know, but I yeah, he's like she's you're dumbfounded for him.

Yeah, because when you try to put yourself in that position, it's bonkers, there's no making sense out of it, even so the other survivors, I come I'm gonna call them survivors as as opposed to the six, they're living like they know what's happening, and they're still honestly they're taking it quite well because living it doesn't mean you have to accept what's going on, but I guess living and they have these other, but I still think it's something like what the fuck? But I guess being on the island has you're like okay, well, yeah, but this has happened, like everything like this is not the prop, this is probably not the most outlandish thing that could happen. They're like, eh, okay, but time traveling now, okay.

Yeah. All right, so we're gonna start out on the island. And according to Lost Pedia, it's November 1st, 2004. Sawyer, Locke, Juliet, Miles, Charlotte, and Daniel.

Walk into a bar this time. Wait a minute.

Because this oh, okay. All right. I for some reason I okay. Let me start over. Sawyer, Locke, Juliet, Miles, Charlotte, and Daniel are at the Mesa after having time flashed from 1954. Dan manages to revive Charlotte, and Locke suggests that they travel to the orchid in order to stop the time flashes. Locke tells Sawyer that he needs to get the oceanic six to come back. Don't you want her to come back, James? He asks Sawyer. Charlotte wakes after being unconscious for 10 minutes, and it takes her a little bit to orient herself. Then they decide that they're gonna go to the orchid, so they head to the beach camp to take the zodiac around the side of the island. After dark, while traveling through the jungle, the group sees a beam of light emanating from the ground some distance ahead. Locke realizes what it is, even though he doesn't say it and the other ones don't. And I think that as viewers, we're supposed to know what it what it was.

It's the light that's from the hatch the night that Boone died. Locke leads the group through a different route to avoid the light, and a short while later they hear a woman crying. Sawyer goes to investigate, and he sees Claire as being assisted by Kate as she gives birth to Aaron. Overcome with emotion at the sight of his lost love, Sawyer doesn't confront the past time Kate. And the moment is gone when the group shifts through time once again. How about that one?

Like I was waiting for okay, so two things. I was waiting for them to come across themselves like other members, you know. Okay, it's about time nothing happened. Yeah. So finding themselves in daylight once again, they make their way to the beach. Miles now has a nosebleed, and he asks Daniel about it. And Daniel says that it's related to how much time you spend on the island. It confuses Miles, who points out that the survivors who have not shown any symptoms, had been on the island for months before the freighter arrived. And Daniel asks Miles if he's sure that he's never been there before. But now I understand Daniel's logic. Right? Here's here's a flaw that I caught now. And maybe it's not a flaw, maybe there's something I don't know. But number one, why isn't even let's assume that Miles has been there before? Okay? And then that's why he's experienced it and like Locke and Sawyer haven't, okay. Why hasn't Juliet was she's she was there longer than she's been there for a couple of years, and why is Juliet traveling through time with them, but Richard and and them aren't?

None of it makes sense. No, it's a flaw.

I never thought about that part. Like, well, Juliet is traveling with them, but Richard and the other others.

Like at what point, like, where does it the travel back and forth begin and end as far as who goes or who doesn't? I wonder, because Richard is actually still on the island when they first go, when they first, you know what I mean. Oh, question. He actually Richard might be flashing with them, but he's not with them, like physically with them in the group, we may not know. And considering he's some kind of like, I don't know, vampire, he doesn't age, his flashing back and forth through time may be going maybe going smoother because so he could be flashing back and forth with them, but not in their group.

Gotcha. Okay, that's fair. Stella better shut the fuck up. On the beach, they find that the camp exists at that moment, but disheveled, with a number of their structures in disrepair and all the supplies either stolen or consumed. Sawyer's like, hey, how about a Dharma beer? But they're all empty. With no one nor the zodiac in sight, the group wonders where everyone has gone. Noticing a pair of wooden outrigger canoes, they speculate that the other survivors may have fled from attackers. Inside one of the canoes, Sawyer finds a water bottle with the label for Ajira Airways, which Juliet recognizes as an international airline based in India. They take one of the outriggers and begin paddling towards the orchid. After a short while, they notice that unknown people are pursuing them in the other outrigger, and as the other canoe gains on them, the people in it begin to shoot. After trying to escape for a while, Juliet started returning fire with the rifle, apparently hitting one of the pursuers. But before the pursuers can get any closer, there's another time flash.

And then Sawyer goes, Thank you, God. And then when he actually gets to the new flash part, like he sees the storm, he's like he's like, I take that back.

So I just I don't know. I wrote it somewhere down. Like I had a piece of paper when I was watching TV. I wrote down a Jira. I don't know if I spelled it right. I did it phonetically. I have a bad fucking feeling. You're gonna ask me in about like two to three episodes. Do you remember the name of the airline? Because 500 years later, you still ask me about the damn numbers. I don't remember what the numbers are. I know every time I see numbers, I'm gonna assume it has to do with it, but I don't remember the numbers. So I'm gonna start writing down. I'm like water bottle, a Jira.

A J I R A. Oh, okay, good. So now they come to the shore and it's nightfall. Sawyer and Juliet continue their conversation about Sawyer seeing Kate in the jungle. Sawyer says that he was close enough to speak to her, and Juliet asks, Why didn't he? He says, What's done is done. And the conversation ends when Sawyer indicates to her that her nose is bleeding. Charlotte then alerts the group to debris from a ship on the beach, noting that it appears to have wrecked recently. Locke identifies a canister with the word Bessie douze on it. And even though I tried French on Duolingo, um I'm sorry if I butchered that. It means B612. I can tell you that. Around the same time, a group of French-speaking men and women are in an emergency raft weathering a storm. In the distance, they see a man floating on a piece of debris. They paddle over to a man and pull him onto the raft. And then it is revealed to be Jin. By morning, the French group has reached the beach where they offer him water. The team is attempting to locate the source of a transmission, wondering if the island is inhabited. When you hear the transmission, you can just hear the four, eight. And if you remember, that's what we heard, you know, way back in the beginning when they were trying to access to put out an emergency call. And then you heard Rousseau's message, and that's how she came into the uh picture. One of the men tries to question Jin about where he came from and how long he was in the water, but it's frustrated is frustrated by his vague answers. Like, I'm so sorry, I was fucking unconscious after a ship blew up. My bad.

One of the women, visibly pregnant, asks Jin his name, and then introduces herself as Danielle Rousseau, leaving Jin looking confused. So now we know that that's more or less a time frame, and this puts it at November 1988. In flashback, a few days after being rescued off the island, Kate and Jack share a private moment on Penny's boat The Searcher. Their discussion revolves around what to do with Aaron. Kate expresses that she wants to take care of him because after losing so many people on the island, she cannot bear to see any misfortune befall upon Aaron. Jack explains that he's gonna try to convince everyone else to lie about it, about the island, but needs Kate to back him up. He asks her if she'll be with him, to which she answers, I've always been with you. Yag.

Like, I think that she definitely gets Sawyer, but Sawyer Sawyer needs somebody who's more stable and more um self aware. Like, if that makes sense. And Kate has Her own shit that she needs to deal with, and and that's why they won't work. Because it's not about like, oh, she doesn't get him, but she's she's not able to be there for him.

I think there's a lot of things that as a character, the character of Sawyer is insecure, but then there's also a part of him that yeah, is confident, that's stable, that's he has insecurities, but he's not insecure. Yeah, no, that's that's a much better way of putting it.

All right. So also in 2007, after borrowing a black suit from Sun, Kate leaves Aaron with her at the hotel. Right after Kate leaves, Sun receives a package from an unknown source delivered by the bellman. The package consists of a surveillance report, a box of chocolate, and a hidden gun.

And there's photos of Jack and Ben in front of the Hoff's drawler funeral home. Kate meets with the lawyer at his office, offering to provide her and her and Aaron's blood. If Norton will tell her who the client is. And he says she is in no position to bargain and that she'll lose custody. Meanwhile, Jack is still working on Said at the hospital. Said wants to leave, and Jack is like, uh blah, blah, blah, you've been unconscious for 42 hours, one of the numbers. Horse tranquilizers, blah, blah, blah. I'm Jack, I know. Listen, mind you, the chief of the clinical services is like, um, you're not supposed to be here. What the fuck are you doing? And Jack is like, oh, well, I accept all full responsibility.

Yeah. So while they're doing that, a nurse comes to give Said medication, and Said is too smart for his ass. And before the guy turns around to shoot, Said is like, whoo, ninja, disappear.

So this is an actual video of a cop like frisking a guy, and where the camera is, you like the cop is behind the guy, and they're both facing the camera. He's like, What's this? He was my dick. The guy the cop was like, Oh, I guess he had a hole in his pocket. And he had no, yeah. So he's actually like his grabbing the the cop's reaction. Priceless. Jack's phone rings, and it's Hurley who's at county jail. And he's like, dude, I'm good. He's like, tell him I did everything he told me to do. Yeah, he's like, um, you know, did you get to Said? Did my dad drop him off? Um, you know, and then he's like, tell Saeed that I followed his advice. Um, and the advice was just basically not to do anything Ben said.

But the way he said it, the way he was just like, Yeah, I'm good, I'm in jail, it's all good. And exactly what he did.

Ben then arrives, and him and Jack turn return to Saeed, and it's just like, I found it. What the actual fuck is going on here? They he gives him the address, the paper with the address, and Jack recognizes it as Kate's address. So he calls her and persuades him her to tell him where she is so he can meet her. Because he's he's worried.

He's he's worried about yeah, the guy that tried that trying to knock at Said again has her address.

Right. So Ben wants to go get Hurley, and Said is like, um, you shouldn't go anywhere near him, and only if we can go together. Said is like, also, I'm driving. So Ben tells them, Ben tells Jack to get Kate and then meet him at the marina. Slip 23, also one of the numbers.

I swear to God. And I have a nightmare of numbers now, just so you know. Thank you, Lisa. I can't dream of a number without having a well get the lotto numbers. Um Lisa.

And then he tells him to hurry. Kate is like on a stakeout at the lawyer's office, and then she finally sees him and she's like, Jack, you you gotta go or you gotta get in. Like, I'm out. So they get in the car, they follow him from his office to a motel, concluding that the mysterious client must be there because he said he was gonna meet with him later. They watch what room he goes to, and when the door opens, they see Carol Littleton inside, concluding that Miss Littleton is the one who's trying to get custody of Aaron. Kate attempts to flee, but Jack is like, nope, I'll fix it because I'm Jack and I can fix everything.

I mean, listen, to be fair, it's a good thing he did go in there.

Right. It is still and then and it's admirable, right? To a to a certain degree, once honestly, anybody is trying to help you.

If it was okay, if it was one of us, like you're you're Kate, and I'm Jack, or I'm Kate and you're Jack, whatever, whatever, one of us would definitely go in. And like, what the fuck? One of us definitely would have gone in, and neither one of us are a Jack. Like, you know. So fucking, he just can't do anything right because he's Jack, like in my eyes. He could do no right.

So after he goes in and he talks to her, he realizes that she actually has no idea that Aaron even existed, let alone who his mama is, and that she was actually only in town because of a lawsuit she had against the airlines. So after finding that out, Jack and Kate go to the rendezvous point with Ben. But meanwhile, Ben and Saeed are because okay, so they talk to Carol after the lawyer leaves. And then we find out that the lawyer was on his way to meet another one of his clients who happens to be Ben. Dan is informing Ben that the charges against Hurley are gonna be dropped and that he should be out by the next morning. Like, Ben doesn't help anybody but Ben, but okay. Um Kate is like, um, he's the one who's trying to take Aaron, and Jack is like, oh, that's crazy. But Ben is like, she's right.

Do you really think, like, oh, well, 17 years ago when I was pregnant, didn't I find you on a raft? Like, right.

And every time they were together, they're like, it was a serious issue that they're dealing with.
