SPEAKER_01

Welcome everyone to this episode of Sass and Six, where every week we will be discussing and dissecting an episode of Lost in Order. We will do our best to avoid spoilers for those of you who'd like to watch along with us. Neither of us are experts, just fans who like to drink and dish, which will also explain our audio mishaps.

SPEAKER_05

I always chuckle at that part.

SPEAKER_01

I'm Lisa. And I'm Agnes. And you're listening to Sassin Sips. This episode we're gonna talk about the moth, which is a Charlie episode.

SPEAKER_05

Yay! Which I did not see prior to recording.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. So I'm gonna read the synopsis. And um if there's anything that you wanna jump in with, just stop me.

SPEAKER_05

I'll try to be vocal today. And I'm sipping on my coffee.

SPEAKER_01

Oh that we didn't do that.

SPEAKER_05

Mm. Yes. What are you sipping on?

SPEAKER_01

I got some wine.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I'm sipping on coffee because somebody had me up at the ass crack of dawn working, so yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's straight coffee today. No coquito.

SPEAKER_01

No coquito in it. All right.

SPEAKER_03

The poquito's later.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I realize, like, does that make me a bad Puerto Rican because I don't drink it?

SPEAKER_05

Yes. And then I see Puerto Rican. I'm an honorary Puerto Rican.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there you go. You got my you got my stats.

SPEAKER_05

You know what I want to try to make?

SPEAKER_01

What?

SPEAKER_05

Um, um it's like an espresso latte drink with Guinness.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

So yeah, I have some Guinness in the fridge. I have my espresso machine. And I think today I don't I'm I'm gonna play with that today and see how that goes. I'll make sure the next episode. I'll be wide and drunk at the same time. Let's see what happens.

SPEAKER_01

Sounds like fun. I can't wait.

unknown

Good times.

SPEAKER_01

So this episode starts on day eight on the island. Charlie sits playing his guitar in an attempt to keep his mind off the worsening withdrawal symptoms he's experiencing from his heroin addiction. Locke decides to aid him and suggests that the two of them go for a walk. The fresh air will do him good. On the beach, Jack is talking to Kate about the caves. He wants Kate to join him, but she refuses to give up on rescue. While she believes they will be saved sometime soon, Jack does not share her faith. Sawyer arrives, and as Jack is vacating, tells him he wants his tent. He waves farewell as Jack heads back to the cave. In a flashback, we see Charlie at a confessional. Bless me, father, for I have sinned, says Charlie, as he sits in the confessional of a church. He discusses his recent promiscuous experiences and attributes them to his band Drive Shaft. Because Charlie's in a band.

unknown

You see?

SPEAKER_01

I I didn't know. Which is becoming extremely popular locally and causing him a lot of temptation. Through counsel, Charlie decides that he must quit the band. Outside the confessional, he finds his rebellious brother, Liam Pace, who shows Charlie a record contract. Their band is finally going to make it big. Back on the island, Charlie is strolling in the jungle when he hears strange sounds. He begins to run as a boar chases him. He manages to get to high ground, but to his astonishment, the boar gets caught in a trap. Locke thanks Charlie for playing the bait.

SPEAKER_05

Poor Charlie.

SPEAKER_01

But Charlie simply states that he wants his drugs back. He regrets handing over his stash to John, and in response, John says that he can ask for it three times and he'll return it to him on the third. With his first request already up, Locke warns Charlie to separate himself from instinct and temptation. Meanwhile, Said has hatched an impressive plan to find the source of the French signal. With three antennas positioned at different locations, he can triangulate the source of the signal in hopes of communicating with whoever might be there. Kate will position one in the jungle, Boone will keep one at the beach, and Saeed will take the third to high ground inland. Unfortunately, the antenna power cells are so dry that they could cut out at any moment. Thus, they must all activate their antennas at the same moment. To do this, Saeed gives them each a bottle rocket, which he says he found on the plane thanks to fireworks smugglers. When all three rockets are up, they must activate their power cells. Another problem is that Saeed needs more power from some sort of electronic equipment. Kate goes to see Sawyer, who has been hoarding numerous items since the crash. He gives her the power cells to a laptop. At the caves, Charlie is trying to make himself useful by carrying Jack's luggage. The case falls open, however, revealing medicine. Jack sees him and says he is looking a little ill. We go back to a flashback of Charlie and Liam leaving the church grounds. Liam tries to convince Charlie to take up the opportunity, but Charlie is unsure. Liam says he'll watch out for him and promises that if Charlie says so, they will immediately walk away. Back on the island in the caves, Jin tells Sun to cover herself up more. However, Sun says it's too hot and refuses to cover all her bear skin. When Hurley tells Charlie that Jack wants him to move his things as they're in the way, Charlie stomps into the cave and tells Jack to stop treating him like a kid. His shouting, however, causes a cave in, and the other survivors look on in shock as plumes of dust rise around them. Charlie makes it out of the smoke, and when asked where Jack is, he simply points back at the covered cave entrance. Cause Charlie's a bloody rock god. So And then the rocks come crashing down.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, you know, it's kind of ironic, but I think the part as soon as Liam is show is telling him how important he is to the band, they need him in the band, blah blah blah blah. Obviously, that's what it dawned on me. I'm like, blah blah blah, my point's gonna working, we're gonna move me. This is like to me, this is why he said, I think the public is life was the point. Maybe the only point. So public is meditation. So you want to know this thing. That's how you want to be called. So that's that's that's like like no, I'm gonna call it a bad. Something is a bad person.

SPEAKER_04

Ohdy.

SPEAKER_05

Remember the last episode, last week I mentioned about um how fun shows a backbone? A little later one. Doesn't look like yeah, you tell them. Like you're supposed to be really cargans and shh shit. So do we see more episodes? Do we do we see more does son actually does that backbone become more prominent in later episodes?

SPEAKER_01

You know what I'm gonna tell you, right?

SPEAKER_05

I have to watch fine.

SPEAKER_01

Be that way. Out in the jungle, Kate and Saeed discuss the plane crash. If the tail section broke off in midair and the middle section cartwheeled through the jungle, there is no way that they should have survived. Kate says things just happen in life and that Saeed should just accept some things are without explanation. Hurley orders Charlie to go down to the beach for help and to get Kate at once. He does so enlisting help from Michael, Steve, Scott, and Boone. Boone is needed for Saeed's plan, however, so he reluctantly asks Shannon to take his place in firing the bottle rocket.

SPEAKER_02

We don't even know if he's alive. Come on, we gotta go. Uh uh, Scott. I'm Steve, I'm Scott. We got an emergency. Come on, grab a couple of guns and let's go. We gotta go now. Hey, come on, let's go.

SPEAKER_00

You have to be ready to do something really important, okay? Five ones. You need to be ready to turn that antenna on over there because it switches the base. Because cadence I need are triangulating the French signal, but the antenna's power is really weak, so you have to wait until they fire their bottle rocket. And you fire this one, then you turn on the antenna. You got it?

SPEAKER_02

Switches random?

SPEAKER_00

Did you hear what I said? Can you or can't you do it?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I can.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Disaster.

SPEAKER_01

Charlie.

SPEAKER_05

I don't think we're disaster.

SPEAKER_01

No, but okay, it ended up working out. But when he handed it to her, I'm like, oh, okay, this is gonna fail.

SPEAKER_05

But back to when I said, like, in the beginning of this whole all these sandigans, people underestimate her.

SPEAKER_01

True. She pulled she came through.

SPEAKER_05

And I like the fact that she was like, one just to fuck with him. I was like, yeah. That's totally me. Like, I have a feeling if that was his brother, I don't know if we would talk to her, talk to him in that way. You know what I mean? But anyway, she would be just screwed with him a little bit. Don't say uh-huh. Because not giving fuck does not equate to not not doesn't equate to being stupid. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I don't think I give a fuck about those things anymore in my life at this point. There's the maybe some things I find important. And the little things aren't. And then people are like, well, she just is she like me? I'm like, yeah, I'm totally. I just don't care. So maybe that's why I like her so much. Lisa, I told you I'd give you fun half a sleep with coffee in my stuff.

SPEAKER_01

I was wrong. Sorry. I stand corrected. So Charlie shouts for Kate and Sawyer says he will go after her. Back in a flashback, at a gig, the band is playing to a hungry crowd when Liam steals Charlie's lines. Charlie's love for the music conflicts with Liam's in the moment attitude, and he is shocked to see Liam's disregard when he retires to the dressing room with a girl in one arm and a wrap of cocaine in the other. Meanwhile, back on the island, Michael takes over at the caves due to his experience and construction work. He issues the instructions impressing Walt. Sawyer catches up with Said and Kate and is about to tell Kate what happened to Jack. But Kate acts curtly towards Sawyer when he joins the group. This causes Sawyer to lie to them, saying that he just came to help out. Charlie finds Locke in the jungle, skinning the boar he caught and tells him about Jack. However, Locke realizes the real reason he is there, and Charlie asks for the drugs a second time. In response, John shows Charlie a moth cocoon. He points out that he could release the moth with his knife, but it would die from being too weak. The struggle is what strengthens, Locke explains. Comparing the creature's plight to Charlie's situation. Sawyer, Kate, and Said arrive at Kate's triangulation position. Said warns Kate about Sawyer before heading out to his own position. At the caves, the team manages to make a hole and hear Jack's voice. He is trapped under rubble and someone needs to crawl through to help him. Charlie volunteers, saying that he can do this. Back at Kate's position, Sawyer asks why she is attracted to Jack. He comments, perhaps accidentally, about what might have happened if he had survived a few more weeks, causing Kate to immediately demand what he means. Sawyer admits the truth about Jack in the cave-in, and Kate throws him her bottle rocket before running into the jungle. In a flashback, at a later show, Charlie enters the dressing room, ordering Liam's girls to get out. The main singer has missed the sound check, and seeing his brother in the state that he is in, Charlie asks Liam to make good on his promise to walk away. Liam won't allow it, saying that without the band, Charlie is nothing. Liam storms out of the room. Charlie sits down and finds Liam's heroin stashed. He begins to cry as he looks at it. On the island at the caves, Charlie enters a hole and reaches Jack. A small cave-in occurs behind him, however, leaving both men trapped inside. Following Jack's directions, Charlie fixes the doctor's dislocated shoulder. Kate arrives on the outside and joins the workforce. Not knowing if either man is alive, they start again trying to dig them out. In the last flashback, years have passed, and Charlie is in Sydney visiting Liam. His older brother has started a family now, but Charlie wants him to return to the band, which has been given a new opportunity to try and reach out to a U.S. audience in Los Angeles. Liam flatly tells Charlie, however, that he doesn't want to come back, despite the fact that they will only be signed if both Case brothers are willing to return. Liam recalls the night of his child's birth and how he and Charlie were looking for a fix at the time. He won't return to such a life. He realizes that Charlie is still using heroin, and Charlie shouts back that you did this to me. Liam offers to help Charlie kick his addiction, but Charlie leaves, saying that Liam never looked out for him and he has a plane to catch. Fucking back and forth shit. Back on the island, Jack reveals that he knows Charlie is suffering from withdrawal symptoms. But Charlie notices something else. A moth. He follows it through the dirt and finds light. Fighting through the rocks, Charlie manages to break through just outside the main caves. Meanwhile, Kate refuses to swap ships, working herself to exhaustion despite Michael's claims that she is going to kill herself. Charlie and Jack show up behind the others, much to their surprise, and a relieved Kate hugs the doctor. The group congratulates Charlie for saving Jack. At five o'clock, Saeed initiates his plan by setting off his rocket. Both Shannon, almost not seeing it, and Sawyer set off their rockets as well. And Saeed turns on the transceiver. He receives a strong signal, but before he can interpret it, someone knocks him unconscious. Charlie begins to shake at the caves from withdrawals, and Jack lies to Hurley, saying that Charlie is suffering from the flu. Charlie goes for a walk and Kate takes his place, giving Jack a handmade sling for his arm. She jokes about the safe caves Jack told her about, but he assures her that Michael has checked the rest of the area for its integrity after learning he is in the construction industry. Kate confirms that she is still heading back to the beach where she hopes to find out whether Said's plan was successful. Charlie finds Locke and asks him for the drugs a third and final time. John gives him a sad, betrayed look and then gives them to him, asking if he's sure. But after a moment of staring, Charlie throws the whole stash into the fire. Locke smiles, touched, and says, I'm proud of you. As Charlie looks up, he cries as he sees a moth fly away into the night.

SPEAKER_05

So I find it ironic how Charlie's life took a complete turn. Like his he had he wanted to leave the band. He wanted to he wanted to get out of a situation before his life got flipped upside down. And because his brother William, he ended up being the drug addict. He ended up having the interview and his brother cleaned himself up. I think I find that high ironic. And um I think right now this is this this rebirth, this is the this the being stranded allows them all to be reborn and start afresh, start anew.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Like be the person the people that they really wanted to be or who they were going to be the p before, you know, all these other changes happen in their lives.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't I don't know if this is gonna be a spoiler for you, but that's it is that's definitely gonna be a recurring theme. I mean the whole okay. You know, think think about it. Kate was a fugitive and she comes to the island and she's no longer being hunted. You know, she's no longer being sought after.

SPEAKER_05

Jack is found, he's got a clean state with his like he dealt with his father issues. It took him no being cra like if they didn't crash, would he have to dealt with it? Probably not. But that has a lot to say with episode three, the name of Teddy La Rosa.

SPEAKER_08

Right.

SPEAKER_05

Clean Slate. It's pretty much the whole series, I'm assuming.

SPEAKER_01

And you've got Locke's story. But he can walk. Yeah, he was in a wheelchair now. He can walk.

SPEAKER_05

He can walk. And I find myself doing like I think the reason I I relate to him so is that I don't tell him what to do. Don't tell me what to do. But that's my big thing. Like, especially whether people's lives don't screw it up. Um transparency. I'm still being forced to watch this, not being held to this.

SPEAKER_08

I mean I I'm still like I'm not invested yet.

SPEAKER_05

I don't it's hard to tell that I'm not invested because I'm not such deep and insightful thoughts on these person of these characters. Oh, yeah, I'm not invested yet. I'm still getting I'm trying to get there.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I I told you. It's hard in the beginning. I mean, even as much as I enjoy this show, the first few episodes of the first season are still a little like, hmm, all right.

unknown

Episode seven.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but there's like what 24 episodes in the first season, so we're not even half away.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, in w in relation to the season. Okay, gotcha. So we're uh we're like a third of the way there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so the sec the second half picks up.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So the next episode is Confidence Man, which is a Sawyer episode.

SPEAKER_05

Con man, I can see it. I kinda I can kind of see it. Let's see what happens. Baby juicy.

SPEAKER_01

And then after that is Saeed. And then after that, it starts to get it starts to move a little quicker. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I'm waiting. I'm side-eyeing. I am doing a major side-eye. I know you don't want to see me, but that's what I'm doing.

SPEAKER_01

This episode didn't really have a lot to give us except for insight on Charlie.

SPEAKER_05

And I actually liked it. I think this was one of the episodes I I enjoyed watching. The figure.

SPEAKER_01

It was cathartic, you know. He had this moment where he came into his own, you know, and you saw a little bit of his struggles in the past with drugs with his brother, but he was able to more or less stand on his own two feet and come into his own when he was able to ask for the drugs and throw them in the fire and make that decision for himself.

SPEAKER_05

I love underdogs. Love an underdog. I always root for them. Tr um, Charlie and my brain shut down. The sister.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I like her too. And I c I want to see more about her. When we go see about her and her brother, I want to see more about them. Okay. We'll get you. Like the next couple episodes, the next like the end of the season.

SPEAKER_01

I will tell you. Coming up, after this is Confidence Man, which is Sawyer. Then we get Saeed. Then we get Claire. Then we get another Jack. Then we get another Kate. And then we get a Boone episode. But it's Boone and Shannon.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I forgot all about Claire.

SPEAKER_01

She actually that was one of the trivia things that her name didn't even appear in the credits in this episode.

SPEAKER_05

Interesting. So were they so it makes me wonder were they gonna write her out and the last minute keep her in? Because normally characters who are part of this of the um actors who are part of a series, they still get credit for it, whether in the episode or not. So that makes me wonder were they're gonna write her out.

SPEAKER_01

Let's talk about Saeed getting knocked unconscious.

SPEAKER_05

I want to do that, but okay. I know I just I'm just not a fine and I he's useful, but he annoys the hell out of me.

SPEAKER_01

Do you have any thoughts? Who? Why?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no thoughts whatsoever. I have no idea.

SPEAKER_01

Come on, take a guess.

SPEAKER_05

And might be the damn polar bears.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. At least take a guess.

SPEAKER_05

I think um it could be I don't know. It could be someone who doesn't want to it could be a sawyer who doesn't want to leave the island for whatever reason. It could be someone that's already on the island. I'm thinking might be some I I really don't know. Because all of my but my professional TV viewing experience, it really gets knocked on his ass with this show. Um Yeah, I'm like, huh, what? I thought I knew it was gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

That's one of my favorite parts of this show is the whole while you're watching it and you're like what the fuck multiple times.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not invested. He doesn't like just like Charles and the band, I'm not invested. Um I still say what the fuck, I'm like, oh, that's interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Um You'll get there. You'll get there. I have faith.

SPEAKER_05

I have faith in you. I'm trusting you that I will get there. So I wanna see by the end of the season how many people will be calling in and say, see? Look you were proven wrong.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. Do you wanna do trivia first or do you wanna do uh uh characters?

SPEAKER_05

I don't know, dealer's choice.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_05

Let's spin the wheel.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, let's do trivia now. And then we will do characters afterwards.

SPEAKER_05

Uh well you know, because there's only two options.

SPEAKER_03

It's kinda uh you know kind of obvious gonna be second, but go ahead, let's cover trivia.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. For the first time, most of the survivors get a wardrobe change in this episode.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, okay. Did not notice that, but that's very interesting.

SPEAKER_01

And patterns of three are a major theme in this episode. In Confessional, Charlie recalls three simple experiences so occurring at the same time. Right, that was funny. Locke gives Charlie three opportunities to ask for his heroin back. Said's plan to isolate the distress signal involves using three antennas and three individuals located at three different points on the island. And Charlie sees them all three times, the once in a cocoon.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So those are little tidbits. That's it.

SPEAKER_05

I gotta say, with the whole wardrobe ch the wardrobe change, I think that'd be my biggest problem with being stranded on the island, with being dirty and funky. Like I guess. I mean, not the fact that I'm stranded on the island, not the fact that like food supplies are low, housing, no, being funky and dirty. Like, uh someone give me a shower. Where's a bar of soap? It needs to be soaped somewhere.

SPEAKER_01

They're bathing in the ocean.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I'm glad they are.

SPEAKER_01

But it's salt water.

SPEAKER_05

Well, you know, listen, I live in an area that has very hard water. I'm so like, you know, as long as I'm clean. It's you know, I'll do with the the the scaly skin later. As long as I'm clean. So that's just me. There's I'm sure there's coconuts on that island, right? Boom, coconut oil. Boom. Moisturize the skin, the hair, you're set. There's there's resources.

SPEAKER_01

You got me. What was I thinking?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Next thing all over trivia there. Next thing you and Locke are gonna be rendering the bore fat so that you can make soap.

SPEAKER_04

Listen, that was my next thought. Nothing goes to waste. Everything has a purpose.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, well I guess I know who I'd stick with.

unknown

I feel so useful.

SPEAKER_01

I'm over here worrying about getting rescued, and you'd be like, dude, I got soap, I've got coconut oil. We don't need to go anywhere.

SPEAKER_05

But listen, I'm I'm on I'm on team rescue, but I'm also team realistic. Like, let's do both. Set up a a sentry duty, set up everyone rotates.

unknown

You know, let's be realistic.

SPEAKER_05

Sitting in the hot beating sun is not gonna help you get recovered anytime. Cover, you know, help you get saved anytime soon.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. So, you know. While we are stranded looking for help, let's, you know, clean our asses. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

I'm with I'm with that too.

SPEAKER_05

Let's not get sunburned, let's not get dehydrated, you know. Heat stroke. Because everyone getting heat stroke is gonna hurt, you know, wear on the T anyway. Can't drag your dead asses, you know. So yeah. Real no, I'd be realistic about these T V things.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, realistic. So let's do a little bit of character analysis. We shall. Okay. So I'm just gonna ask you. We usually do three characters, so I'm just gonna ask you about two. This is getting smaller and smaller.

SPEAKER_05

Uh we used to do the podcast and be like, hey, this happens. See you next week.

SPEAKER_01

Like Alright. Well, the thing is that I I was thinking about it, and I asked you about the character from the previous episode. But usually nothing big happens in between. You've always had a somatic.

SPEAKER_05

There's not enough information to change in yeah, there's just like, okay, yeah, it was nothing's happened. Same opinion. But but no, I I thought it sounded like you had a butt copy in there.

SPEAKER_01

So unless something big happens, then we'll do it. So let's focus on Charlie, since this was a Charlie episode. Yes. Okay. So your thoughts on Charlie? You know, I first is before, you know, before you saw this episode.

SPEAKER_05

So Charlie was always kind of like that little lost, like the younger brother of the group or the little kid of the group that's falling behind, you know, that wants to be accepted by the re by the big kids or the cool kids. And everyone likes him. He just tries to look at it too hard. Now I told you, I see I as you know, I see. I understand why. Um the Thomas, my thoughts. I know I said it at one point, but I shouldn't have said it before. I think I said this. I know at one point I said it's kind of um like 10 minutes into the show. You see that Tom keeps saying, I'm in the band. I'm in the band. I was in the band. You see why he keeps saying that? Because like that's the last time he was important. So that we had like that's his way of saying, I am somebody, and I am somebody, you know, I'm important, I I need it. Um and at the end, I find it ironic. He wanted another, he wanted another band so that because he won he didn't want to fall into like this wayward way of life. He wanted to get him out before it got too serious. And as a result, he ended up having this repetition problem, and his brother, who was forcing him in to stay in the band, cleaned himself up with no problems. And I just find it ironic. Like he was the one that ended up with the problem.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Even though they're lost, I think they kind of they have all been found with this situation. Like this is a this is a redemption story so far. I find that these I don't think this whole season is gonna be a redemption story or queen slate.

SPEAKER_01

I think that that's I mean, we we did mention that and we talked about that, but I think that it is definitely one of the biggest overall themes of the show.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, the show completely? Okay, interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

But no, like I've always liked Charlie. Now I'm like, dude, dude, that's my dude.

SPEAKER_01

Uh oh. How's Charlie gonna feel about that?

SPEAKER_05

Listen, Luck, that's my man. Look. We go back.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_05

I can't tell you how many movies. Um, what was that one? Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

You got the wrong one for movies.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you I do, because you're like, wow, woman, China China, woman, um what was that move? Oh, the one with Sigoni Weaver and she was like in the it was a the copycat copycat. That was a copycat, and Locke was one of the cops.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna ruin this for me. What about our listeners?

SPEAKER_05

Everyone has seen copycat.

SPEAKER_01

No, not everyone. I have not.

SPEAKER_05

It's like thirty years old. Okay, not 30 years old. Dude, but Locke was I think I didn't ruin I said Locke was a cop in the movie.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't ruin anything.

SPEAKER_01

What do I know? I didn't see it.

SPEAKER_05

Oh not Locke with Terry O'Quinn.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, I mean TV.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, Terry. Did you ever watch Six Six Six Calk Adams?

SPEAKER_01

I did. Because it was on TV. It wasn't a movie.

SPEAKER_05

Another show that Terry O'Quinn was in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that show was really cool, and I wish that it never got cancelled. ABC, are you listening?

SPEAKER_05

Put it back on. Okay. Um full of randomness. Sorry, listeners.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. So next episode is Sawyer. So before you watch a Sawyer episode, wink wink, because I'm pretty sure you already at least started it.

SPEAKER_05

I have no idea what you speak of.

SPEAKER_01

No, nope, not at all. Your thoughts on Sawyer.

SPEAKER_05

Sawyer, I think, I mean he's a dick for no reason, and usually when you're a dick for no reason, I think it's I think you're doing it like you want to be punished. Usually. You know, but um Sawyer? Yeah, I don't know. Uh we'll see. I have no other opinions about Sawyer.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, fair enough.

SPEAKER_05

In case you guys did not know this about me, I'm kinda sort of not into the show. I'm just watching it because I have to.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I know. You've you've told everyone about the hostage situation. She's actually not really in her house. She's actually tied up in my closet with a microphone. You know, and I am uh for force showing her episodes a la Clockwork Orange in there. Look at that, a movie I have seen. And I read the book.

SPEAKER_05

And and and surprise, I haven't. Go figure.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. You okay, that you need to watch. That's that's some shit, that movie.

SPEAKER_05

And then wait, you know, I thought about you with Friday the 13th coming up and the whole nightmare before Christmas.

SPEAKER_03

I'm like, oh Lisa.

SPEAKER_05

I've never seen that either.

SPEAKER_01

I can sing you the songs. I think I have. You have.

SPEAKER_04

Repeat. And it means nothing to me, nothing I tell you.

SPEAKER_01

It's a miracle our friendship has survived this long.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, we're only in our twenties.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_05

And we've known each other for like 30 years.

SPEAKER_01

It must be that miracle they talked about on the show.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we are a lost miracle. And I'm pretty sure a couple of our listeners wish we were lost at this moment.

SPEAKER_01

But um Alright, so let's wrap this up. Cause um, I think you need to go watch a couple of movies, and I think I do too.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, right? Let me see if I could um find the time in my busy schedule.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I hear I thought you were getting busy over there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I thought we had recorded all times.

SPEAKER_01

You're right, and I fuck up.

SPEAKER_05

See? We need to record to remind you to keep it recording.

SPEAKER_01

Um you watch that 70s show? Or have you ever seen it? Ugh. No. So they're always going down to the basement to get high. And they always have like these great ideas, but then you know, obviously they forget. So they're always like, We need to write this stuff down. We need to record ourselves.

SPEAKER_04

I think they have an excuse. What's ours? We're just I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Hi, Gizmo. Until next time, everyone. I'm Agnes. Nope.
