It's great to see you, Walt. I kept hoping. One day somebody will come back for me. So that was crazy. Not even close. You just need to get back to the island, that's all. It's where you belong. It's where you've always belonged. Like I talked to you about a job. Alright, then. Let's get out of here. It's time for us all to go home.
SPEAKER_01Hi, and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips. Today we're gonna talk about no season, no episode, DVD bonus, the new man in charge. I'm Lisa, and I am sipping on a screwdriver because I don't know. It's breakfast for me. So, you know, forgive me if I go astray and all that.
SPEAKER_00And I'm Agnes, your co-host. And I am, unlike Lisa, I am not sipping. I am drinking. I'm drinking. A Moscato with mangoes. I am loving my little drink today because you know what? It's brunch. And what are you supposed to do with brunch? Eat and drink. And I'm not allowed to eat on camera because Lisa gets mad at me.
SPEAKER_01It's not the editing on camera.
SPEAKER_00The editing.
SPEAKER_01You're earning my ear.
SPEAKER_00And she's it's it's not fun for her. I totally get it. It's not fun. And then she gets hungry, she sees me eating.
SPEAKER_01That's also very true.
SPEAKER_00Today is also little Lisa Day.
SPEAKER_01Apparently I can't recognize sarcasm today.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's coming from me, so just assume that it's sarcasm. Just off the bat.
SPEAKER_01That's fair.
SPEAKER_00When it's coming from me to you, it's sarcasm. Me to anyone else, I'm being a bitch. You know, it depends who I'm talking to.
SPEAKER_01So I guess this is actually the last episode.
SPEAKER_00Technically, it isn't. I mean it is. Can you consider it an episode though? Come on.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's a mini, but it's not even a mini.
SPEAKER_00Definitely canon. Okay, I'll give you that. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So it does. Yeah, maybe it's not a full-length episode. I mean, it was only like 11 or 12 minutes long. It's a mini mini. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's like a half of a half. It's a quarter.
SPEAKER_01That is true. Because with commercials, half-hour episodes are usually about 22 minutes. 20 minutes. So yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_00So this is a- full-length shows about for 42, 43 minutes. Yeah. I learned that whole 2030 in third grade and PS58.
SPEAKER_01But the commercials were longer back. I mean, the episodes were longer back then.
SPEAKER_00Like a sitcom was still 30 minutes. You know.
SPEAKER_01It was 30 minutes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the whole like. So here's how I know because everything I watch is on streaming. So when I watch older episodes of stuff like Cheers, The Golden Girls, things like that, the episodes are sometimes like 23 or 24 minutes. I've even seen sitcoms that are like close to like 25, 26. I can't remember. Really? But yes. Okay, to be fair, it was like an average. It's closer to like 22, 21. No, no, no. Never, I've never seen below 20.
SPEAKER_00It's just the content sucks. Got it. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And the same with the one hour. Sometimes it's like 46 minutes. Sometimes it's like 45 minutes. I've seen 42 to 43. It's an average. Then the newer they are, the less they are. The less they are.
SPEAKER_00Because people are making more money. So they didn't want to.
SPEAKER_01Right, because of thermal commercials.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And the theme songs were a lot longer, and now it's like you don't even get a theme song.
SPEAKER_00You don't get theme songs.
SPEAKER_01But they had honest time. They had the time because the episode, they had a few more minutes in the episode.
SPEAKER_00The theme people actually wrote a song for these sitcoms.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's amazing. Back to the mini mini. Okay. I liked it. It gave me a glimpse of like, so this is how this is their this is what they did after the plane left. And then before when they were getting ready to wrap up and pass on the torch. Like, you know, you got you got a glimpse of how they work together, although it's only Benjamin. You got a glimpse of what they did together as a team.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you get Hurley at the very end. At the very end. Walt at the end. And I liked that I I feel like there was this really big hanging question. And I understand that Walt kind of had to be out of the show for reasons because of like he grew so much and the show progressed so slowly.
SPEAKER_00Puberty hit. Just say it. Puberty hit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. But there was this whole thing, Walt is special and the birds, and then boom. And then it was kind of dropped.
SPEAKER_00And they tied it back in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Even though we we saw the lock Walt connection early on in the show, and then that kind of fizzled also.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I like that they did at least still bring Walt back. And I like that they even acknowledge Michael. But why was he in the room? He was already. Well, they they acknowledge it because his soul is trapped.
SPEAKER_00Oh, they did? I missed that part. Yeah. So I know they acknowledged it, but I didn't get the it didn't click. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01When when Ben We need to watch TV together.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01When Ben goes into Santa Rosa and he says that you could help, or do like do it for your father, or whatever. And he's like, but my father is dead. And I don't remember exactly how he said it, but he was like, but just because he said that doesn't mean you can't help him, and like he's trapped.
SPEAKER_00And that incli I heard it, but it didn't it didn't go through my brain. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then in another episode, we learned that the whispers are the souls that are trapped on the island.
SPEAKER_00They can't do anything. They just Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it's it was is that Simon?
SPEAKER_00No, that was me.
SPEAKER_01Ah, it was like wow.
SPEAKER_00That was actually pretty loud.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I thought it was really nice that they brought Walt back. And this is the first time that I was watching. I've never seen that before. Even though I have actually I have the DVDs. I just I've never I've never watched the episode. Obviously, I love Hurley, so I kind of wish that he would the episode was a little longer, that he was in it a little bit more, but I I love that he popped out at the end, like, hey dude.
SPEAKER_00I also think it actually, I think not having him. I think the amount of time he spent was just perfect. Yes. Because I can agree. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01It was just like being selfish.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, okay, okay. It just like sometimes less is more, and this is a situation where you're like, oh shit, oh wow, damn. That hits. That was it was just yeah. I appreciate it. It okay. So let's say that intentionally, people asking. That was an intentional mispronunciation.
SPEAKER_01Just we are in the Orote, Orote Peninsula in Guam. Now, Lisa, what are we talking about now?
SPEAKER_00The new Are you fucking with me again? No, I'm are we talking about the next short or no? We're just doing the new man in charge. We're still doing that? Oh, okay. You don't, Lisa. I had a moment. We I feel like we talked so much about it. I forgot we didn't talk about it.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, I forgot. And I'm like, are you fucking with me? Because I really can't tell. No, I forgot we didn't talk about it. Okay.
unknownOh god.
SPEAKER_01We are in Guam and we see an old-fashioned printer printing Dharma peas onto labels, and we see that it's the present day, and we're in a Dharma logistics warehouse. There's two Dharma workers, Hector and Glenn. They're arguing over loading the food food palette and specifically about missing their launch window. Then Ben enters, the workers are startled, and they're like, uh, who are you? Ben is like, Hi, I'm Ben. I'm from the home office. Ben informs them that there's a new man in charge, and Ben has been sent to tie up a few loose ends. He instructs the workers that this facility is being shut down and they are free to go. The workers protest, claiming they have been loading food pallets under unnamed drone planes for the last 20 years. Ben says, That's cool, you're done, here's your severance, and hands them envelopes a bunch of hundred dollar bills. It's all about the Benjamins, baby.
SPEAKER_00Not lost on me. Mr. Benjamin Linus.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I didn't even think about that. But yeah, I meant that. Totally meant to do that. That's the ticket. He says the Dharma initiative has not been in existence for over 20 years, and the workers are like, uh, we're gonna need some answers. Ben is like, and for my next trick, you each get one question, and then you have to go. Glenn, who I don't even remember if they really said his name, but his name is Glenn. He wants to know where they have been sending the pallets for the last 20 years. Ben says, the launch information they receive is automated and it's sent from the Lampos station. It changes every launch because the pallet is being sent to a moving island. Glenn is like, uh, how does an island move? And Ben says, No, no, no, only one question. Hector says, since they are in Guam, the island must be in the tropics. But it doesn't make sense because there's polar bear fish biscuits. And then he's like, How could there be polar bears on a tropical island? And to which we all laugh at his stupidity because we've been there.
SPEAKER_00And then I find it funny because that last episode, I'm just all the shit that happened on the island, I'm like, but the polar bears, I'm just like still stuck with the stupid ass polar bears.
SPEAKER_01That's part part of the brilliance of the episode because I think that all the answers that the audience is, all the questions that the audience is left with, like, but what the fuck of the polar bears? And then, but and walking special, and where are the palettes coming from? It's like the producers were like, you know what? The most random stuff. Here you go.
SPEAKER_00And I feel like it was the random stuff that really didn't make a difference. Like the important stuff were answered.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00But like, but the polar bears. Like I was still, I was still just for five years. I've been like, but the polar bears.
SPEAKER_01Or and also like, but why does uh Chang's name change all the time? Right.
SPEAKER_00So I never mind the smoke monster. That makes sense to me. Like MPs makes sense to me. Movie Island makes sense to me. But the polar bears. But the polar bears. You know, so I thought you were gonna laugh at me when you saw this. You're like, how funny. She was she wanted to know why the public bears were there. Here she goes.
SPEAKER_01Ben Ben gets out his nifty binder, his handy dandy book, and says, I've got a DVD for you to watch.
SPEAKER_00Okay, tell me that it looked like um sitting in your friend's Honda Civic book of and trying to and and spending 15 minutes just trying to figure out what the fuck CD you were gonna listen to.
SPEAKER_01Yes, okay. I was just like, ooh, flashback. I would not doubt if Alex still has two or three of those binders in the basement.
SPEAKER_00I have, I I think I do too. I I I think I yeah, I have binders of CDs and downstairs.
SPEAKER_01They all sit down to watch the movie together. They didn't even bring popcorn.
SPEAKER_00And we had all that food there. You thought that you'd think there'd be a snack there.
SPEAKER_01Just just bunch on some Dharma popcorn. The video plays and it's the hydro orientation film. Dr. Pierre Chang is narrating and he's like, please don't disclose my information or I will have to change my name. So you're like, oh, okay. That's why his name is quote different every time.
SPEAKER_00When he said this, I wanted to go to P. Chang's. I'm like, hmm.
unknownP.
SPEAKER_01Chang's? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I was like, oh, that sounds good. If it wasn't like an hour away.
SPEAKER_01Carry on. The video talks about the experiments, basically the nature of the hydrostation and the experiments on birds and polar bears and room 23. And I like the callback when the guy, after the video, he's like, we're gonna need to see that again. Ben is like, no.
unknownFine.
SPEAKER_01So they leave and Ben eats a Dharma granola bar. Next, Ben heads to the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute, and we're like, okay, we've been here before. This is where Hurley has been, this is where Libby was. But he's not there.
SPEAKER_00Must be like the best one in the county because everyone goes there.
SPEAKER_01Either that or it's the only one. Maybe there's not a lot of mentally ill people in that town.
SPEAKER_00It's an it's LA. Come on.
SPEAKER_01I know. I mean, I was Ben arrives and asks to see Keith Johnson. The nurse is like, uh, are you family? And he's like, No. But he'll see me. Walt is playing Connect 4 alone, and Ben sits down at the table with him. He's like, Are you here to kidnap me again? Ben's like, no, and I'm sorry, by the way. He says, he says that he was sent here by a friend. And he says he can't change the past, but he can take responsibility for it. Walt is he doesn't want to hear what Ben has to say. He starts to put the game away, but Ben says that he's special and that he has work to do. And that's that work starts with helping Michael. He wants Walt to go back to the island, and then Walt agrees, and they head outside. Outside, they head off to a Dharmavan. He's like, Go ahead, right shotgun. And surprise, Hurley jumps out of the back. He's like, dude, I missed you. Walt says that he had waited so long for someone to come back for him, and that he'd been crazy because no one believed his story. So he was called crazy. Hurley says, You're not crazy at all. And you just need to get back to the island. He's like, I I gotta talk to you about a job. And then he's like, We all should head home. And it leaves you with the the knowledge of knowing that the three of them are gonna somehow head back to the island. And Walt shall be the new man in charge. Are you muted?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was muted because I had to fix I had to fix something and I went mute and I had him.
SPEAKER_01So what did you say?
SPEAKER_00I don't remember anymore.
SPEAKER_01It was ten seconds ago. Walt isn't gonna be the new man in charge.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, and I got the and I gotta sense this happened relatively speaking, right before they go into like the waiting area.
SPEAKER_01They're you know, the waiting room before Hurley and Well, obviously, before Hurley.
SPEAKER_00I'm just like I'm thinking like I'm thinking it's closer. It's like right, I'm gonna say right before. Like, I feel like, okay, we want to go, we want to die, let's set this shit up so we can go. And I have like in my head, oh, okay. It was just like, okay, we're ready to move on. It wasn't like, hey, let's get the new person to be proactive. No, I feel like it's like, okay, I'm ready to go. Can we get somebody now?
SPEAKER_01As opposed to, you know, you know, I feel like the only thing that seems a little off to me is that not knowing about this episode, not seeing this episode, like when the original series came out, it led me to believe, or maybe not led me to believe, but but my conclusion was that Hurley held the job for a long time. Yes. But Walt is not on the island. And he's not that old. He aged, but he's not that old. So he was only supposed to be what, like 10? Right? When the series first started? Wasn't he like 10? What no, he wasn't, he was like 12. So and now he's 16. Is he 16? Is he really 16 now? When I looked up the information, it said 16. I'm not sure if that's exactly right, but I mean he doesn't look that old. Like let's say he's 20. I'm thinking, yeah, I didn't think about it. But let's say he's 20.
SPEAKER_00That means that three years for three years at most.
SPEAKER_01So on right, on Island, three years passed. So then if there's another like three or four years, then that means that Hurley only held a job for a couple of years. Or or so, like that part didn't connect for me because of like I just figured Hurley had the job for like 10 or 15 years at least, or whenever, because they did or longer. But honestly, maybe yeah, maybe they came back to get Walt to bring him to the island because he's special, because they time changed they time traveled, like it did 15, 20 years pass, but they came okay. No, no, no, no, just because that they knew that that's where he belongs, so maybe he wasn't gonna be given the job just yet. Okay, but they got him now so they can prepare, they were proactive because that's how Hurley wanted to run things by being more of a caretaker and taking care of Walt. I don't know. I think that I don't sure.
SPEAKER_00I think that works. That's that's what happened.
SPEAKER_01All right, so this is definitely something that we have to ask our fans. Some trivia. The printout states the launch window to be Wednesday, August 24th, 2010. It's actually the day that the season six season six DVD was released, but August 24th, 2010 was technically a Tuesday, not a Wednesday. So it's a little like um I don't know. And August 24th is Walt's birthday. So the plane was supposed to have crashed in 2004. So 2010, that's six years past. So yeah, that makes Walt 16. Or was he 10? Was he 12? Alright. Siri has spoken. Walt was 10. Six years later makes him 16. So yeah. And I believe that the end of Lost when Jack dies and all of that, the end of the on island, like present time, I believe is supposed to be 2007.
SPEAKER_00That makes sense. So then Hurley was time because because they did the on the island for a couple of months, and then they were they got off the island for a little bit of time. But three years, and then they came back and they did and they did three years. So that makes sense.
SPEAKER_01Well, it was three years that passed, yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, but like so, three years. Um well, you know, three years passed. I see. There was a time of three years plus a year they were on, you know, so that makes sense. Four years between the
SPEAKER_01Clash and so yeah, so Hurley would have been the protector for three years at that point. Walt was using the name Keith Johnson.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01And when Michael was on the freighter, he used the name Kevin Johnson.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And that that had me jacked up for a second. Like, I know that. No, that's not the exact same name, but I know that name. Yeah, and that's why I know it from. Thank you for refreshing my memory. You're welcome. Winky Dink? Or like, was that planned? Is it coincidence? I'm sure that it's not. It's like the black version of Smith.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure that it was planned by the writers.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm not I'm talking about between the father and son.
SPEAKER_01But but that part I don't know because I know nobody knows. What do you think? Have known his name. Remember, he wasn't speaking to him.
SPEAKER_00No, but I don't know. Maybe they have a kind of code. Good point. Maybe there's a lot of.
SPEAKER_01Although, actually, you know what? That makes it more likely that Walt knew. Because if Ben is the one who set up all of that, then maybe somehow they worked behind the scenes to put him in Santa Rosa, maybe to keep him safe or to pull his string.
SPEAKER_00It feels good. It feels amazing. This is how you felt, Lisa. Oh my god, no wonder you did it.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like not in the right brain. I don't I'm really pulling at these strings, and I don't know if you're laughing with me or at me. Oh.
SPEAKER_00I'm not gonna lie to you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it is a good feeling though.
SPEAKER_00No, to be reverse. Oh, oh, the feeling to be fucking with you? Yeah. It's amazing. It's amazing. Imagine I'm doing this, and we're still coming from the same point. Like, this is an episode that neither one of us has seen. I have no advanced knowledge on this chat on this episode. That took skills. Thank you, universe. The universe shamed that. Like they just like here. Here's a gift. We won't allow you to fuck with Lisa today. I'm gonna listen to this episode when it gets published.
SPEAKER_01You get you're gonna listen to what you said?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Do you have any other things about this episode while I think? No.
SPEAKER_00No. I'm just sitting in my glory right now.
SPEAKER_01Walt knows that Michael is dead.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01How?
SPEAKER_00Bitch.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm I'm real, but I'm really asking.
SPEAKER_00Oh, although you're reverse Unoing on me. I was like, well done. Um wow. Let's see. Let me see if I can think of something that we actually seen in the episode that can point us in the right directions. It could be the A, a right or faux pas. Most likely it's a writerful pas.
SPEAKER_01I think I think more likely than that, if there's no reason, it would just be to get us to do this.
SPEAKER_00Just yeah. Just to fuck with us. Or it could be then you have the whole maybe he oh okay. When the freighter exploded. No, no one no no, I'm trying to think. Maybe he was being was he being literal? Or was he just being, yeah, he's dead. And then he said, Well, you know, you can help him. Like maybe he's just like being figurative.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think I'm more onto something with the fact that Ben is already how that was my third option.
SPEAKER_00Back to what you said before. He's already in contact with him, and they have, or at least Hurley was.
SPEAKER_01Or her Hurley. Hurley or Ben because are behind the scenes somehow. Maybe they're not saying, Hey, Walt, this is Hurley. Hey, Walt, this is Ben. By the way, your dad's dead. Use the alias Keith Johnson.
SPEAKER_00Right, but there's something going on.
SPEAKER_01But somehow they are orchestrating it.
SPEAKER_00That's the story I'm gonna stick to. And I can see, honestly, I can also see Hurley popping in after he became, you know, but Walton. Because the way Walt was like, I didn't want to talk to Hurley, it was just like well, he didn't want to talk to Ben. Well, all she asked, he asks, where's Hurley? Yeah, but and it just seemed like it was something like I haven't seen Hurley in six years. You wouldn't say that. If you seen him more recent or heard of heard word from him, that would that seems to be a little bit more natural.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but he also said that he was waiting for somebody to come.
SPEAKER_00Meaning he probably heard like I'm co-signing your thoughts. Like, oh, uh-huh. I'm co-signing, like I think it was Hurley, he's been in contact one way or another since Hurley took over. And I'm thinking that because if he hadn't, I don't think I would be like, well, I want where's Hurley at? My thing is where's my like what's you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. He had to have contact within the last since Hurley's taking over.
SPEAKER_01So I'm thinking I concur that if Hurley was in contact with him, I can believe that. I think that he was not having contact with him directly. No, no, no. While he was in the mental institution, I think that maybe Hurley was talking with Walt, and Hurley may have told him about what happened and said, This is what happened. You're like, What what what happened to my dad? Well, your dad um was on a freighter, he was going by an alias, and he saved us and blah blah blah. And so then remember, Walt said something um that like that nobody believed him, and and people were calling him crazy. So maybe because he had that information and nobody would believe him, that just like Hurley, who couldn't shake the feeling, ended up in the mental institution, and then as like homage to his father, was like, Well, my father went by the name Kevin Johnson, so I'm gonna check myself in under the name Keith Johnson.
SPEAKER_00Kevin Johnson.
SPEAKER_01And then from there, he was waiting for Hurley or somebody to come and visit him.
SPEAKER_00I co-signed it. No, I completely co-sign it. This is this is it. This we had a whole new solved it. I should we like Pop, we should produce our own boss episode. I mean, we'll have to use like Barbie and J. Joe and Ken to be the characters or something, you know. Or or Funko, you know, you know, well, listen, Sass and Sip solved the case again.
SPEAKER_01So next case. The lamppost is where the launch information is coming from. Do you remember which station was the lamppost?
SPEAKER_00I don't remember.
SPEAKER_01It's the church.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's right. Yes, I do, yes, yes, yes. So now I'm confused because and that makes sense because Faraday's mom would auto she would know. And that's why she had the meeting there.
SPEAKER_01Right. But then if she was I mean, it looked like she was manning the station, but Ben says that nobody was there in 20 years. But we know that that's not true.
SPEAKER_00No one manning it. Because remember before, you know, she made she may have known of it, but she might have been manning it. But she may have came back from the island pregnant with Baradale, like, yo, fuck all this shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I just feel like there's still something weird there because or unless I'm just missing it, because it's like when she was moving around down there, when she was showing them the window, uh their flight window, I mean, she was zip-zip zipping across like Garcia on Criminal Minds.
SPEAKER_00Like she was just very familiar.
SPEAKER_01And she was a part of the Darm Initiative, so I feel like given her knowledge of that station, why didn't she? Oh no, you're right. She wasn't in the Dharm Initiative, she was another. She's just a very smart woman. But then, so wait, now that's even more confusing. Cause I was gonna say, if she was in the Dharma Initiative, why the and she knows about the lamppost, why didn't she just stop the deliveries? But now it's more complicated because you're right, she was an other, and I fucked that up. So Dharma deliveries are coming from the lamppost, but Eloise Hawkins, who also has some kind of mystery about her, because remember, in one of the first times we see her when Desmond is going to buy the ring, and he's like, and she's like, No, no, no. Yeah, like she she kind of breaks the wall and is like, no, like that's that's not how it's supposed to happen. And even in one of the more recent ones, she's like, You stop, like when he starts asking about Penny, and she's like, No, no, stop. So even her character still has a lot of unanswered questions, like, how does she know what she knows?
SPEAKER_00But then how is she connected to well part of it was she actually saw, like, okay, her life on the island like she saw her son come back as an adult. Like she was the right. So she and I'm sure that in itself started some her some research and some studying and some going into an extra set that we don't get to see. Okay, I like that. I think she so I like I don't even think I don't was she even I don't think she even had Daniel when when she saw him as an adult. I don't think he was even born yet.
SPEAKER_01No, she was pregnant.
SPEAKER_00She was pregnant.
SPEAKER_01She was pregnant with him when she shot him.
SPEAKER_00Right. So imagine now, mind you, by the time we see her again in England doing all this, you know, pulling the strings, how many years have gone by? How many decades have gone by? Right, he's like 30. So I'm sure there's a lot of research and study and prepping and community and things happening.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think you're right.
SPEAKER_00I think that had a lot of and prepping for, and she also she had to prep him to come back so she can, you know what I mean? Right, right.
SPEAKER_01She's so they can get the the fun stuff for him and focus on physics. But the part, I guess the part which is how it started, is how what is the connection between her and her string pulling and knowing about the lamp post station, but the lamp postation being a dharma.
SPEAKER_00Well, to be fair, the others weren't exactly they weren't like I think they did a lot of back, like a lot of spying, a lot of interest, like they and they knew more about what was going on with the initiative. I'm sure, and then then Faraday, not Faraday, then Widmore left. I'm sure he had information from the Dharma initiative from the outside world, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Like it there was there was a lot because it's not that the that it's the Dharma initiative, that part makes sense that it somehow because they were studying the electromagnetism and the island. It's like how does she know about it?
SPEAKER_00Because I think it was just like once they got back off the island and between her brains and Woodmore's resources and Ben was in the Dharma initiative. Yeah, as a child, yes.
SPEAKER_01But you're right, no, but Faraday also but he studied it when he went back before he came back to the island, but but I guess I just don't understand why if she was so familiar, why she didn't stop the drops. But I guess maybe we'll just never know.
SPEAKER_00I think it was kinda into it it didn't make a difference. Stop stop them from getting food for what purpose. I mean, she had bigger she had bigger things to fry, she had bigger fish to fry than stopping them.
SPEAKER_01No, I I got it. I got it. I got it. Are you ready? I'm ready. Solved another case. Eloise knew because Widmore knew that Desmond was there.
SPEAKER_00Right, and they needed Desmond.
SPEAKER_01And they needed Desmond, and even though he didn't want Desmond with his daughter, he probably still needed Desmond for the big picture. Exactly. And they had to keep him alive. So then why would you turn off the only source of food? They're only yeah.
SPEAKER_00But they still go back to Whidmore and like they knew what was going on, they had bigger plans. I mean, yeah. So I'm sure that's how they knew about the lamp post to begin with. Sassy Sips is on the case. That's it. Two down. Who's next? Come on. Can't find you. Listen, you give me a computer and some information, I can find out anything. When you find out what's going on with your boot thing, I got it. Oh, excuse me. You know that ongoing, you know that joke? Like, um, if we really want to find bin Laden before we found him, all we had to do was back in 2002 was tell some chick that her cheating ass husband was with bin Laden, she would have found Bin Laden would have been found. It would have been over way before it was over. Yep. I don't know why more women, you know, this I keep saying women, sexism. Yeah, because men are they know our power.
SPEAKER_01If the CIA was filled with women, problem solved, especially women who have been cheated on before.
SPEAKER_03Shocked.
SPEAKER_01But okay, anyway. That is it for this episode. How about you?
SPEAKER_00How do we turn a 12-minute mini mini episode into like a six-hour episode on our end? What's special?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Anything else?
SPEAKER_00I'm just glad that they don't pay people when you turn it a you turn somebody into the nut house. We would have been, they would have they used to, they used to do that. Like, you know, back in the turn of the century. Turn the last century. Oh my god, we already did a turn of a century. Turn of the last century, not this century.
SPEAKER_01I I know what you meant.
SPEAKER_00I forgot what century I was in. But I just know for a fact, somewhere would have me would have been locked up in there with white jackets by now. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Like this. Like, but give myself a nice little hug. Yeah. Can I just bedazzle mine? Just give me a long straw to my alcohol. I'm good. We should do the exact episode like this. Is this not nice to do that?
SPEAKER_01I would say stay tuned for next time. And I would tell you what episode, but I'm not sure what it's gonna be yet.
SPEAKER_00I have an idea, and I'm not telling. You just have to listen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so stay tuned for the surprise. Visit us at assassinsips.com. Drink responsibly. And until next time, I'm Lisa.
SPEAKER_00And I'm Agnes.
SPEAKER_01And we're out of here. Stealing the Bye. The workers protest. Complaint protest. Did I say that word right?
unknownProtest.
SPEAKER_01This time you said it.
SPEAKER_00Protest or protest? You said it right the first time. Protest. Okay. What the hell, Lisa? Maybe we shouldn't be working today. I forgot we didn't talk about the episode. This can go either really, really right or really, really wrong.
